"Almost ready to go?" You gave Joon a smile as he took a seat.

"Just about-- give me two seconds." You rang up the order for the woman at the counter. "Five thirty, please."

Once she'd paid and had taken her child and baked goods with her, you left the shop with Namjoon and headed to his car. He opened your door for you and you stepped in. "I have a question." You glanced at your friend as he pulled out of the driveway.

"Yeah?"

"How are you so sure that Yoongi even likes you?" You stared.

"Because it's obvious." Namjoon nodded slowly. "And I'm nice, right? Why wouldn't he like me?"

"Of course you are, I'm just wondering why he wouldn't have made his move already if he likes you." You stared. "I was just thinking, y/n, that's all."

"Well, I don't know." You stared out the window. "He's shy."

"Right."

"How's your valedictorian speech coming along?" you asked, changing the subject.

"It's going well, I think." He smiled, dimples on show. "I've added some fabulous metaphors."

"I can't wait to hear it."

"I'll read what I have to you guys at lunch on Monday-- that is, if you join us?" You smiled, rolling your eyes playfully.

"I'll be there."

"Did Taehyung deliver the cookie in one piece to your math class?" Namjoon took a turn in the direction of your school, heading straight for the filling parking lot. It seemed like the other school, the team Jimin would be playing against, was already starting to arrive with their students.

"It was fine but then Park asked for a piece." Namjoon chuckled.

"Did you share?"

"Yeah." He parked and you popped your seatbelt off.

"What happened to not being nice to him?" You rolled your eyes, stepping out of the car as Namjoon laughed. "Taehyung might be right-- the boy might catch feelings, y/n."

"He won't, Joon, I promise." Namjoon smiled and you headed towards the outdoor court. The stadiums were filling up and it seemed as if your snack bar was finally up and running. It hadn't, for the past 3 years you'd spent at the school. "I bet that's because of you, president Joon?" You gestured as a group of girls walked past, sharing a cone of cotton candy.

He chuckled and shrugged. "Perhaps-- we just needed to organize our extracurricular funding better." You shoved him in the arm.

"You're too smart for your own good, Joon." He laughed and you looked around at the crowding bleachers. "Are you gonna sit with me?" He smiled.

"I should sit with the rest of the council." You nodded. "Sorry about that."

"That's okay-- I can watch Yoongi in a sleeveless jersey on my own." Joon chuckled and tilted his head up. You turned to where he was gesturing.

Yoongi in his jersey. "Oh my god, look at hi--"

"Hey, babe!"

And there was Park.

"He looks good too," Joon whispered as Jimin ran over. You smacked your friend in the chest and he laughed, giving your shoulder a squeeze. "I'll be off, y/n."

"Mhm, see ya."

Jimin approached you, giving Namjoon a nod before glaring at you. You watched Yoongi head over in your peripheral vision. "Babe? Hello? My jersey?"
