"Hey, dude."
"Mhm." Yoongi threw his backpack behind him and to the backseat as Jimin slipped into his seat and sighed as he started the car back up. "You need to drive your own car, man."
"I know, dude, I just can't waste money on gas right now when I don't have to." Yoongi nodded and pulled out of Jimin's driveway.
"Did you get the assignment done yesterday?"
"Yeah, I finished it but my printer crashed so we have to go to the library to print it before class." Yoongi nodded. "Did you see Hoseok hyung's text to the group chat?"
"Yeah, the game plan looks good." Yoongi took a turn, hands spinning over the steering wheel. Eyebrows furrowed a little, he leaned in to wipe a bit of his glass that had become foggy. Jimin pressed a button on the console and the boys waited for the window to clear up.
"How'd things with your parents go?" Jimin shrugged.
"They left last night," he said with a nod. Yoongi nodded. "I told them about the case and they were pissed."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah." Yoongi shrugged and Jimin shrugged right back. "They said I could do whatever I want but mom's pissed that Aunt Lina's in on it too."
"Aren't they sisters?"
"Yeah." Yoongi shrugged and Jimin shrugged back taking in a deep breath. "It's fine; next week I'll win the case and I'll never have to speak to them again."
"Have you found an apartment?" Jimin nodded.
"Aunt Lina's letting me stay at her place for a few weeks once I'm officially emancipated so that I can sign the documents and make it work." He rubbed his hands together. "I'm excited, dude."
"I'm sure you are." He took another turn into the parking lot. "Do you have the money for it?" Jimin nodded.
"I'm taking out a loan and if everything works out with the job I could probably apply for another." Yoongi sighed. "Rent isn't too bad right now, dude."
"Good luck, Jimin." The boy nodded as Yoongi pulled into his parking space. "How are things with, you know, jm/ex going?" Jimin chuckled.
"Fantastic."
"Really?"
"She's texted me thrice this week but I haven't responded yet." Yoongi nodded slowly.
"And y/n?"
"She's fine." They got out of the car together and began to make their way towards the entrance together. "You could go on one date with the girl, you know?"
"I'm good, man."
Jimin sighed and shook his head. "My parents loved her." Yoongi paused, causing a freshman to walk right into his back. She apologized and scurried away and Yoongi turned to his friend. Jimin shoved him.
"You let her meet your parents."
"She said it'd be a good idea?" Yoongi's jaw fell open a little. He exaggerated a bit and covered his mouth with his palm. Jimin slapped at his forearm. "Besides, it makes me look, like, stable, you know?" Yoongi shook his head and sighed.
"Wow."
---
"Move."
"Wow, you're already pissed and I didnt even do anything?" He looked as if somehow that made him proud. He shifted over though. "How's your morning been, princess?"
"Fuck off." Jimin chuckled and pulled out his phone.
"Wow, must've been great then." You stared at Jimin's shelf. "So anyway, I was thi--"
