You set a cookie in front of him and Jimin sighed as he pulled it towards him. He played with the packaging for a moment before shaking his head. "I don't want it."

"Park."

He didn't respond and you opened the package, taking one of the two cookies out. You leaned over and pushed it into his mouth as he groaned, hands reaching up to grab it. He laughed a little as he chewed. "Thanks."

You took a seat in front of him and he let out a long sigh, sitting back in his seat. You refused to look at him as you played with your drink's cup. Lina walked over with a coffee for Jimin, pressing a kiss to his forehead.

"It's okay."

Jimin only sighed again.

"You can apply again in a few months, I think," you said with a nod. "And you'll do better since you've already kind of experienced it, right?"

"What's the point?" He shrugged to himself. "I'm just gonna fuck it up again."

"Don't say that," Lina hushed. A customer walked through the door and she hurried over to help them. Perhaps convince them to buy a few cookies seeing as Hoseok had made almost double what he needed to.

You looked at Jimin but he was too bust staring at the chipping paint of the table you were sitting at. His knee bumped into yours and he actually mumbled an apology before moving it away. You stared at him as he pulled his tie off. The tie Jin had so generously tied for him.

"You're fine."

He looked up. "'course I am."

"Would it have gone better if Yoongs had been there instead of me?" Jimin stared at you for a moment and shrugged.

"Maybe?" He tilted his head back and closed his eyes. "I just didn't expect her to ask me stuff straight off the bat. I thought I'd get to say my speech at least."

"You were thrown off."

He nodded and shrugged. "I guess it's fine." He stared at his folder again and shook his head. "I should call Min."

You nodded and he pulled his phone out, scrolling through for Yoongi's contact. You wondered why he didn't just click it through his recent calls. "Yo." You couldn't hear Yoongi from where you were sitting so you walked around the table.

Crouching next to Jimin, you squatted, pressing your ear to the other side of Jimin's phone. He spread his legs and you sat down on one of his thighs. He could've just put it on speaker.

"How'd it go? Well?"

"No."

"What?"

"She denied it," Jimin said, voice low. Really low. It scared you a bit-- his voice was usually so high. And loud. And happy.

"Fuck."

"I know." Yoongi was quiet for a moment and you could hear him swallow on the other end. You played with your fingers for a second before Jimin cleared his throat and spoke again. "It's fine, dude-- I can still reapply."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

"I'm sorry I couldn't be there." Jimin shook his head a little, even though Yoongi couldn't even see him. It made you smile a little. "Maybe the support would've been nice."
