"What colour?"

"What colour, angel?" You heard a p-uple and smiled, grabbing a purple icing-covered cupcake. Ringing it up, you announced the total. "You're gonna make me pay you for a cupcake for your niece?" your brother asked.

"Is she gonna be able to eat the whole thing?" you asked, carefully sliding your cupcake to the side to take home for later.

"Probably not."

"Who's going to be finishing it?" Jin sighed into the phone.

"Me, probably."

"Exactly." You laughed as you hung up, just in time to see Hoseok heading into the shop. "And you're late again."

He chuckled and slipped an apron on. "Is she here yet?"

"She's at the bank, I think." Hobi nodded and you went to take a seat as he leaned against the cash register. "I'm surprised this place hasn't shut down-- barely anyone ever comes by."

"It's probably because it's so secluded, you know?" Hobi picked up an apple turnover. "Because the food's great so it can't be that."

"I agree." He tossed you a prepackaged cookie and you caught it, ripping open the plastic. You sunk your teeth in and smiled.

"No homework?" You glanced at your bag and let your shoulders drop.

"Lots of it." You grabbed your things and sat back down. "Please tell me senior year gets better."

"It's great after your university application gets finalized." You laughed. "You'll be fine-- what do you have to do?"

"Math problems, peer edit an essay, solve global warming, the like." Hoseok laughed. "Can I get to it?" He smiled, pulling out his phone.

"It isn't like we have much to do anyway."

You got to work on the essay you were editing for a classmate from your history class while Hoseok sat around on his phone, not having much to do. You both snuck snacks in regularly until your phone, startling you.

"Hello?"

"Hi, y/n-- are you at work?" You hummed, circling a semicolon. "Uh-- where's Taehyung?"

"Tae?" Joon hummed back. "Tae's probably at the school-- today's robotics, isn't it?" You checked the date. Yep, it was Friday.

"Well-- uh, he just called and said he was on his way to t/ex's house?" You frowned.

"Why? Why's he going there?"

"Uh, I don't know but can you call him? I'm in the middle of a meeting about prom and I can't leave." You sighed.

"Yeah, yeah, I'll call him." You hung up on Joon and Hoseok raised his eyebrows as he looked up from his own phone as you dialled for Taehyung.

"Everything okay?"

"I hope so." You tapped your fingers against the countertop. Tae picked up with a sniffle. "Tae!"

"Y/N."

"Where are you right now?" You heard a flicker go off and immediately stood, gathering your things. Hoseok helped you out, a frown on his face. "Taehyung-- where are you, please?"

"I'm in my car."

"Don't you have robotics?"

"Uh huh."

"So what are you doing in your car, my love?" He let out a frustrated sigh and you heard his horn blast. "Taehyung."

"I'm going to tell t/ex to like me again." You let out a long sigh. "You aren't gonna stop me, y/n-- you don't know how I feel; you've never been broken up with before."
