A new feeling rushed through his veins, suddenly he wanted to puke. He had never heard someone talk like this. He wanted to either be invisible or just run as fast as he could. But in reality, he just stood there, frozen.
“And you?!” she said which brought Jeno's attention back to her. “And I was worried for you… what if something had happened to you? And you say you were working on something… what were you doing?” her voice dropped into a whisper.
He didn't know what would've happened. But he has a gut feeling that she would definitely cut him into pieces and plate him beautifully and put him in the fridge because he was so precious to her.
“I was- uh,” Jeno wiped the sweat on his forehead. “Studying and working on some problems.”
She nodded as though convinced. Jeno was still looking over her face to find something. Like a smile or… laugh saying that she was lying and that she has a family and she came back immediately because of some urgent work that had nothing to do with him.
He waited. But it didn't happen.
The way she says things are so different that you never know if she's saying the truth. If you manage to tell somebody else, they would laugh and brush it off saying she's just messing with him.
Isn't that exactly what he wanted?
“You are not kidding me, are you?” Jeno finally asked.
Jiya shot him a look. “Why would I?”
“You- you left him… just like that?!”
“Just like what? I took care of it. Don't worry.”
No. Jeno wasn't concerned about the body, fridge, or whatever. He was concerned about her. Was she innocent or her existence a hallucination? Because there is no way this was happening.
Jeno didn't dare speak a word after that. Minutes later, Jiya said something that would've never happened even in his dreams.
“Anyways. I think you are tired. We'll meet again. You should take care of yourself… just because you visited your parents, doesn't mean you can just ignore your sleep.” she sighed.
When she came forward to hug him, Jeno didn't move. He hoped she wouldn't take some knife from her pocket and stab him. He didn't want to die this soon.
“Text me after you go home?” she asked and Jeno gave her a nod. “Cute.”

eno walked towards the library with a feeling that something was missing. But he was too much into his thoughts that the world felt like it was on time-lapse.
Moments later Jaemin walked out of the Library and waved bye to Yangyang. He looked back at Jeno but didn't say anything.
“Let's go?” Jeno said after he was aware that Jaemin was standing before him looking at him like he was the most valuable person he had ever seen.
Jaemin hummed. “Let's go,” he said with a smile. “But uh, do you have some space in your bag? Mine's kinda heavy. I got an encyclopedia to read this week.” he asked.
Jeno's brain suddenly lit up with realization. “Bag!” he whispered to himself. “Shit!”
“Huh?” Jaemin asked, confused, “What?”
“I Forgot.”
“Forgot What?”
“My bag, love. What do you think?” Jeno said.
