Part 8

Dabi frowns once he finishes getting them dressed. "Little mouse, I can't go to the hospital with you. They'll arrest me."
She looks at him and realizes he's right.
Dabi drives her to the hospital but once he kisses her and she gets out he drives away.
She walks in and a nurse jogs over. "I-I'm-"
"Are you in labor?"
"I don't know. I think I'm having contractions, but I'm only seven months along." (Y/n) quickly responds.
"Let's get you checked out."

The nurse helps (Y/n) to a room and checks her out while another gets an ultrasound.
The woman could tell what (Y/n) was doing before she came in.
The thought didn't even cross the mother's mind.
As the nurse checks out her dilation her water breaks.
"Now you're in labor. Your water just broke. You're almost to full dilation, meaning you'll be pushing soon."
"Enji," (Y/n) whispers. "I need to call the father."
The nurse smiles and hands her her phone.
(Y/n) quickly calls the hero but gets his voicemail. "Enji!" She cries into the phone.
Tears stream down her cheeks.
"I'm having the baby."
At that moment another contraction hits and the voicemail ends with her screaming in pain.
She grips the sheets tightly.

The #1 hero is in the middle of a battle when he hears his phone go off.
The sound of (Y/n)'s ringtone catches his attention.
"Why is she calling now of all times?" He asks.
Once he gets a small break in fighting he listens to her voicemail.
His eyes widen at her news.
It's too soon. What happened?
He looks around at the fighting and he realizes he can't leave.
There's too many things going wrong and there's too much at stake.
"Endeavor what are you doing?" One of his sidekicks asks, jumping over to help beat up some villains.
"I can't leave." He whispers.
"Of course you can't leave. We need you here." The sidekick yells.
The flame hero squeezes his eyes closed. "Please forgive me." He puts his phone away and goes back to fighting.

(Y/n) screams in pain as she pushes with another contraction.
Her feet are in the holsters and her fists are clenching the bedsheets.
"That's it (Y/n). You're doing great. Just a couple more." The doctor instructs.
Tears and sweat run down her face.
"Get this baby out of me!" She cries and screams again as she pushes.
Suddenly a wave of relief washes over her as the baby comes out.
The baby's cries are nearly drowned out by her light-headedness.
A nurse cuts the cord and the doctor hands (Y/n) her baby.
"It's a girl." The doctor whispers.
The baby stops crying when (Y/n) holds her.
The woman cries and holds her daughter.

Endeavor bursts through the door and looks around at everyone.
(Y/n) looks at him and cries.
Enji walks over and looks down at his daughter. "She's beautiful." He whispers and pets the woman's hair. "I wish I could have been here. I wanted to so badly. I couldn't leave the fight though. The league was too strong and everything was going wrong."
The doctor walks up. "We need to take her. She's premature so she'll be here for a few months so we can monitor her."
"Of course. Thank you doctor."
"I would suggest for the next time, not to have sex during pregnancy. Semen can trigger early pregnancy." The original nurse jokes and laughs softly before leaving.
(Y/n) blushes as she finally realizes the nurse knew the whole time why she went into labor.
Enji looks at the mother quickly. "You had sex with someone?! You could've hurt the baby. Since when have you been seeing someone?"
"Two months now. I decided to move on the day you burned me and told me to move on."
His fists clench in anger and jealousy.
"I found a man who loves me. He cherishes me, Enji. Not for my quirk, not for my body and not for my baby."
The hero looks at the woman sadly. "I didn't want you for those things."
"I calmed you with my quirk. You wanted to keep me locked up because of our daughter. And you were the one who wanted to have an affair. You used my body for pleasure."

A knock on the door pulls both their attention.
"I'm sorry sir but you'll have to leave. Visiting hours are over. But they start again in the morning." A nurse informs, walking over to the bedside.
Enji looks at (Y/n). "What did you decide to name her?"
"Katherine Victoria."
"That's an English name. I think it's pretty." The nurse comments and writes it in the folder.
The hero sighs and leaves without another word.
The nurse helps clean her up some more and gets a few bottles of breastmilk before letting her rest.
(Y/n) immediately falls asleep, exhausted.

When (Y/n) wakes up it's around 2 in the morning. She stands up and walks to the window.
It's open slightly so she pushes it open more.
A breeze blows her hair.
Her eyes close and the woman takes deep breaths.
"Hello Little Mouse." A certain ravenette whispers from the balcony.
The mother jumps at the sudden presence of her boyfriend. "Dabi. What are you doing here?"
"I needed to see you. I couldn't stand it anymore. How's the baby?"
"They took her away for monitoring."
"This is my fault. I'm sorry little mouse."
(Y/n) smiles softly and kisses him. "It's ok Dabi. It was worth it."
The man kisses back and cups her face. "I love you," he whispers.
The (h/c) blushes but smiles widely. "I love you too."

The two cuddle for a while before Dabi decides to leave.
"I should go baby. I'll visit you when you get back home. Since Katherine can't leave for a few months I'll help you set up the nursery."
"Thank you. I don't want to see her father right now. I don't know how to feel about him at the moment."
"Did something happen?" He asks, confused.
"He didn't show up for her birth. He was too busy fighting the league. Then he got mad when he found out I had sex and that I have an amazing new boyfriend."
Once she explains, Dabi growls.
"I'm so sorry little mouse. I wish I could've been here. I would've held your hand and kissed your forehead. I love you so much baby."
"It's ok Dabi. It's better than you getting caught." She cups his face and looks into his eyes.
"Good night baby. Sweet dreams." He whispers then leaves.
