Part 15

As if his bride being shot wasn't bad enough, Enji arrived at the hospital to find (Y/n) hadn't been admitted.
"What do you mean she's not here!" Enji yells.
"I'm sorry Endeavor but that ambulance didn't come here." The receptionist responds quickly, very scared that he would burn her.
"Who do you think did this?" Shoto asks.
The father growls and clenches his fist. "Let's go ask your brother if he has any idea."

The two go to Tartarus and get an audience with Dabi.
"What are you doing here old man?" Dabi grumbles. "Oh and I see you brought my baby brother. Hello Shoto."
The said boy remains silent and stoic.
"(Y/n) was just shot and kidnapped. Would you have any idea why?"
"Besides she's marrying the number one hero?"
"Is the League behind this?" Shoto asks.
"Of course. (Y/n) made a big promise last time she was here. Did she tell you about it, Enji? The League will want to know if she was serious."

The hero clenches his fists but sighs. "Will they kill her?"
"No. She's too valuable alive. Just as I am valuable to you alive."
"Will they return her or will she come back on her own?"
"Possibly. I guess it depends on her. If she's serious about her promise she'll need to convince Shigaraki."
"They'll open a line of communication to negotiate." Shoto offers.
Dabi looks at his brother. "They'll try to get me out of here. I'm an essential pawn on his board."
"I just got you back, I'm not letting you go that easily. Your mother can't handle that again."

Dabi growls and pulls on his chains. "Don't talk about her! You have no right!"
The machine gun pops out but Endeavor holds his hand up.
The raven haired man sighs and looks away.
"You're right Touya. And I'm sorry for what happened to you."
"Shut up old man. Leave. I have nothing more to say to you. But I'll gladly talk to my little mouse if she calls."

Shoto stands up, followed by his father.
The two leave and go to the main estate.
Rei walks over, feeding Katherine. "What's wrong?"
"(Y/n) was kidnapped by the League. I can't do anything to get her back. All I can do is wait for her to show up or call me."
The mother frowns and rocks the baby gently.
Enji walks over and holds his arms out. "I'll take her Rei. Why don't you go rest."
"Are you sure you don't want company?"
The fire man shakes his head. "It would be safer if you weren't around. I don't want to hurt you accidentally."
Rei smiles and nods. "Don't forget to burp after she finishes."

Enji laughs softly and nods. "Yes, thank you."
Rei puts the burp towel over his shoulder then walks away with Shoto.
The redhead looks down at his daughter and smiles softly.
"You really are the perfect combination of us. Your heterochromatic eyes, dual colored hair and soft features."
Katherine looks around while she eats and giggles.

Once she finishes he sets the bottle down and holds her against his chest.
He pats her back gently as he bounces slightly.
She makes more cute baby noises before burping quietly.
Enji hums softly as he rocks her gently.
She pulls away from his chest and cups his face with both of her tiny hands.
He smiles as she leans her forehead against his.
Katherine babbles and pats his cheeks gently.
"I love you," Enji whispers. He kisses her forehead and walks to the nursery.

The baby looks around and smiles widely, clapping.
Enji turns on her music box and rocks her gently.
She yawns softly and rubs her eyes.
"Yes you're getting sleepy." The father mumbles and bounces her gently.
She closes her eyes and it doesn't take long for her to fall asleep.
He gently lays her in her crib and covers her with her blanket.
She remains asleep on her back.
"Sweet dreams baby girl." He whispers then leaves the room, closing the door behind himself.

"Don't you think we should've kidnapped her after the surgery?" Toga questions, twiddling one of her knives between her fingers.
"No. There would've been guards and security we would've had to deal with." Shigaraki responds and takes the hand off his face.
"Boss man, do you really think she's gonna help us? I mean...a second chance? It sounds too good to be true. And you know what they say about that." Twice pipes up.
"If she is telling the truth, and she can help us get our desired lives, you need to ask yourself what it is that you want. None of us were given a chance but this could be the tipping point we needed."

After the surgery and hours of rest (Y/n) finally wakes up.
She looks around and groans quietly.
"You're awake. It's nice to see you again (n/n)." Tomura greets, sitting backwards on a chair next to the bed.
(Y/n) looks at the blue haired man. "Tomu," she whispers with a raspy voice. "Did Spinner shoot me?"
"He did. I told him to wait until you sealed it with a kiss. I wouldn't ruin your wedding day by shooting you before he could kiss his bride. You looked lovely by the way."
"You ruined my wedding dress. If you wanted to talk you didn't have to put a bullet in me. I could've met you at the hideout."

"This was more fun for me. But let's skip the pleasantries."
"I figured we would talk specifics soon enough. I promised Dabi I would help the League. I know you guys. You aren't monsters but you are murderers. Obviously prison time is in order, but I can get you out sooner than expected. I can make your childhood dreams come true."
Shigaraki laughs and fiddles with his gloves. "Childhood dreams, prison and promises. You sure talk big (n/n). Just because you're married to the number one hero doesn't mean you can do anything."
"I said I would do anything. And I mean every word. Tomu you want love and respect. You want a family that won't manipulate you to do their bidding or reject you."

"You can't keep this promise (n/n). It's impossible. The heroes won't go along with it. We're villains and nothing more."
(Y/n) sits up quickly, obviously regretting it right away.
"Idiot lay back down. You'll open your stitches."
"Tomura! Listen to me. All of you are important to me. I want you to be happy. But I also want my daughter to grow up in a world where we don't have to constantly worry about her safety."
"How is Katherine? She was three months early wasn't she?"
"She was, but she's ok now. It was hard at first but everything is ok now."

The blue haired man sighs and crosses his arms, fiddling with his gloves more.
"Tomu...I know it's not going to be easy. It will take time and lots of trust. Maybe not in them but in me. I want to help you."
"I do trust you. That's why I hesitate. None of us know where to begin."
"The first step is picking your desired outcome. Pick it and stick with it. If Toga wants to go to school and make friends I can do that. If Twice needs help dealing with the voices I can help with that too."

"What about Dabi? Will you give him back to me?"
"Of course not. His mother needs him there. They all thought he was dead. They need time together. It won't be a pleasant reunion but it's a necessary one."
Shigaraki looks away, obviously pouting because he was told "no".
(Y/n) rubs her stomach gently and smiles. "I will stay here until I finish healing. Can you all manage to give me an answer before I leave?"
The boss nods. "I'll make sure they consider it and give you an answer."
The woman puts her hand on his cheek gently.
"You need to rest up. And don't make any sudden movements. I don't need you bleeding out everywhere." Tomura leaves, hands in his pockets.
(Y/n) closes her eyes and soon falls asleep.
