Part 14

(Y/n) paces back and forth, trying to take deep breaths.
"Hey (Y/n) everything is gonna be ok. You look beautiful." Fuyumi compliments as she walks over.
Rei laughs softly and follows her in. "Darling you have nothing to be afraid of. Enji is just as nervous as you."
"Really? How do you know? Was he nervous for your wedding?"
"No, Keigo told me." The white haired woman responds.
The (h/c) sighs and nods. "I'm sure he's glad Enji changed his mind about him being the best man."

A knock at the door pulls the women's attention.
"It's time." Natsuo calls.
(Y/n) takes one last deep breath and smiles. "I'm ok. I'm ready."
"Of course you are." Rei whispers, moving a small piece of hair behind the bride's ear. She then leaves with her daughter.
(Y/n) looks in the mirror one last time.
Her dress is perfect, her hair is perfect and her make up is natural.
"Everything is gonna be just fine." She grabs her bouquet and walks out of the room.

When she gets to the door leading out to the venue her eyes widen seeing her father.
He looks her up and down. "(Y/n)," he whispers.
"Daddy." She whispers and hugs him tightly.
He hugs back and pulls her to arms length. He smiles and holds back his tears.
"Mama dragged you here didn't she?"
"Her and Bradley are sitting out there. Now come on. You're getting married."
The woman smiles and links her arm through his. "Thank you daddy."
"I love you darling." He whispers and as the music starts they walk out.

Enji looks down at his bride and he clenches his fists, holding back tears.
She's breathtaking.
Slowly the bride and her father walk down the aisle as everyone watches.
Rei smiles and nods slowly.
(Y/n) smiles back.
Katherine giggles in Shoto's arms.
Enji couldn't take his eyes off his bride though.
Once they reach the end Kenji kisses his daughter's forehead then sits next to his wife and son.

(Y/n) holds out her hand and Enji holds it.
The hero smiles and kisses her knuckles.
The ceremony goes smoothly, occasionally interrupted by Katherine making cute baby noises.
Once the vows come (Y/n) grows nervous again.
"Enji Todoroki...light of my life. Our start was rocky to say the least. But I wouldn't change it for the world. I have come to love you. For the man I met and for the man you will become. Things won't be perfect but we'll do our best. I promise to love you. I promise to love your children as my own. I will support you. I may not always be perfect but I will do my best. You will never be alone."
Enji couldn't hold them back anymore.
Tears slowly stream down his cheeks as he listens to her.
He squeezes her hand gently and smiles softly.

"My little flame. I will never be perfect. I've made mistakes but I am trying to atone for those sins. You have helped me so much in my endeavors. Pun intended."
The crowd laughs softly.
(Y/n) giggles into her flowers.
"But I vow to do my best for not only you and Katherine, but for Rei and our children. I know we can be happy eventually and you have helped me see that. My flame I love you. More than being the number one hero, more than anything. You will never be alone as long as I'm around. You will want for nothing. I will never hurt you again. And I will support you in anything you do."

Hawks gives Enji her ring and Shoto gives (Y/n) Enji's ring.
Katherine pulls at Shoto's bow tie but he doesn't mind.
The couple exchanges rings then looks into each other's eyes.
"I love you," Enji whispers.
"I love you more." (Y/n) whispers back.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
The crowd was already cheering before the two could kiss.

Unfortunately during the kiss a loud gunshot rings out and (Y/n) gasps.
The bullet entered from behind, exiting through her gut.
The bride coughs up blood and falls into her husband' arms.
"NO!" Endeavor's loud voice booms. He looks around for where the shooter could be.
No one.
The guests run around frantically, trying to get inside for cover.
"(Y/n)!" Kenji yells, rushing to her daughter's side.

(Y/n) whimpers and puts her hand over her wound.
Enji puts his hand over hers, trying to stop the bleeding.
Hawks calls the police and looks around. He flies above the venue and tries to see if he can spot the attacker.
"Stay with me," Enji whispers and holds her other hand.
"I'm gonna be ok. It's not that bad." The bride whispers and looks around.
"That's right. You're strong. And it was just through the gut. At least it wasn't your lung...or heart..."
Although his previous tears were happy, these are ones of sadness and anger.

His wife wipes them away with her thumb though. "Enji calm down. You just married me, you can't get rid of me that easily."
The two laugh softly but she coughs up more blood.
"I will kill whoever did this."
"Killing isn't the way of a hero Endeavor. You will find him and lock him away. And if you can't do that, get Keigo to do it." The woman laughs softly.
The said bird lands next to them and sighs. "Nothing, I'm sorry. The ambulance is just around the corner."

The paramedics get (Y/n) on a gurney and stabilized before loading her into the ambulance.
Her wedding dress is soaked with blood.
Rei takes Katherine from Shoto. "Join your father at the hospital. I don't trust him alone right now."
The dual haired boy sighs but nods.
