Endeavor X Reader

Part 2

(Y/n) blushes softly as she thinks about the time she spent with the number two hero and goes about her normal life.
Their paths don't cross for another few months.
(Y/n) didn't notice at first but she was missing periods, her body pains were more intense than usual and she began craving foods she normally wouldn't touch.
Which is why she also didn't take note of her growing stomach, she just believed she was finally gaining weight.
It wasn't until the middle of her fourth month that she went to the doctor to figure out what was going on.
When the doctor told her she was pregnant she was overjoyed.
(Y/n) always wanted to be a mother, but then she remembered the father.
He needs to know, whoever he is.
She didn't even know his name.

(Y/n) holds the ultrasound photo as she walks down the road then puts it in her pocket.
Sudden chaos triggers her and she attempts to run for cover.
A familiar face stops her in her tracks.
Endeavor uses his quirk to take down the villains.
The woman's eyes widen as she watches him.
"It's the number two hero Endeavor!" A random woman exclaims.
"The number...two hero...?" She whispers looking from the woman to the said man.
Anger boils inside her.
That's why he looked so familiar.
She did know him and she knew the real troubles he was facing.
His wife in the hospital, the children he abused or neglected and his constant need to be better than All Might.
Now she is having his baby and it made her sick.
She rushes to the nearest trash bin and pukes up her lunch.

Once the fighting is over (Y/n) follows Endeavor to the main estate.
When the redhead gets through his gate (Y/n) grabs his arm. He looks at her quickly and flashbacks flood his memory.
She growls and slaps him as hard as she can.
Fuyumi and Natsuo had opened the front door for their father and were about to greet him when they witnessed what was happening.
Shoto was also coming home for the weekend when he saw the woman slap his father. He was curious now.
"What was that for, girl?" Enji asks, venom dripping from his tongue.
"You said I didn't know you. You made me believe you were single and had just gotten dumped. I feel stupid for not realizing it was you Enji Todoroki. The number two hero woo hoo."
Sarcasm drips from her lips.
"A man who sent his wife to the hospital and mistreated his children. You made me into a homewrecker. How could you? I hope our child never turns out like you! And to think... I thought I actually had feelings for you."
She throws the ultrasound photo at him and turns to leave.

The three children were shocked beyond belief at the information the woman was yelling at their father.
The said man was also overwhelmed by her news. He manages to grab hold of the image once she throws it at his chest.
After staring at it he quickly grabs her wrist; the two standing only a few feet away from Shoto.
"If it's mine you can't keep it from me. I want to be it's father."
"Why?! So you can abuse and traumatize it? "Make sure it surpasses All Might"? I won't let you near my baby."
"If that child has a fire quirk they will need training so it won't injure their body. I burn from the inside out when I use my quirk. I lost my oldest because every time he used his quirk it would burn his skin. I can't risk losing another child."
"You should have thought about that before you lied to me and hurt your family." (Y/n) makes eye contact with the three children.
They look at each other then back at the (h/c).
"I am so sorry for what's happened to you. And I'm sorry I'm adding another one to your family tree."
Tears stream down her cheeks as she leaves the estate.

Endeavor was about to stop her again but one glance at his youngest stopped him.
Shoto is glaring daggers at his father. "You're a monster." He whispers and turns around, going back to the dorms.
Enji didn't want to see the disappointment of the other two so he left as well.
(Y/n) wipes her eyes as she walks down the street toward her apartment. "I'm so stupid." She whispers and sniffles. "How could I like him? We were only together for... six hours? Or was it more than...it was- I don't care!" She cuts herself off angrily.
A few passersby look confused but they keep walking.
Endeavor was about to walk into the bar from months ago but decided against drinking. Instead he asks the bartender about (Y/n).

Upon learning her address he quickly makes his way there and hopes she's home.
After a few knocks and silence he was about to leave but the door opens.
"Who is...it...?" She trails off when she notices who it is.
Her arm quickly swings the door but his reflexes kick in and he keeps the door open.
"Let me...be honest with you." He requests, eyes glued to the wooden floor.
The longer she stares at his face she realizes how hard this is for him.

"Are you going to be open and honest this time? About everything?"
He looks up at her and nods softly. "I hate being vulnerable, can you tell?"
"Yes. It's very obvious. Which is why I'm gonna let you in." She stands to the side and allows the hero in.
He hesitates for a moment but nods and walks in.
She sits in her wooden rocking chair while Enji sits on the couch.
He notices her gently rubbing her stomach. "Are you showing?" He asks, watching her hand.
She looks down at her hand then lifts her shirt over her stomach. "I'm about halfway through my fourth month. I asked that the gender be a surprise but my next appointment will include the heartbeat."
"May I join?" He asks then looks into her eyes.
She stares at him silently but she could almost see a childlike wonder behind his blue eyes.
"Why should I let you?" She asks, monotone.

He opens his mouth to respond but closes it.
"I want the story. Every detail." She orders and pulls her shirt down.
Her fingers go back to rubbing.
"I am a selfish man and I regret deeply what I did to my family." He begins.
(Y/n) nods and listens.
"I married Rei for her ice quirk. That way when we had children their quirks wouldn't destroy their bodies...like mine. Unfortunately that wasn't the case."
The four people he mentioned that day were his children.
She felt embarrassed that she thought they were seeing his wife.
"Touya got a blue flame quirk that burned his body every time he used it. I lost him and I wish everyday that I could go back and save him."
"Fuyumi and Natsuo got ice quirks, didn't they?" (Y/n) asks and Enji nods.
"Yes. They were the ones I neglected because I didn't have to worry about them. But then Shoto came along."
"You're pride and joy." She mumbles boredly.
"I called him my masterpiece because he had the perfect quirk. Half fire and half ice."
"He can regulate his body temperature if he gets out of hand. He could also be very powerful if he learned how to use them at the same time." The woman looks away, dreading the powers her child might have.
Multiple possibilities flood her mind.

"I want..." Enji trails off and sighs. "I love my wife. I don't know how she feels because I haven't seen her in nearly a decade. I'm sure by now she has divorce papers signed and ready for me. I want to do right by her, and the children. If they want nothing to do with me...I will accept and back away."
"But if somehow you can keep your family together you will." She comments and looks at the man.
He frowns and looks into her eyes. "Yes. But I will not abandon you. I wish to help you with our child. I will not harm the child or you. I will not dictate your lives. I wouldn't ask you to marry me either, if Rei and I were to divorce."
"Will you keep me a secret from the world? Will you sacrifice your image for us?" She asks, more curious than upset.
He thinks about his answer. "I guess it depends on you. If you wanted me out of your life I would just pay child support and leave you alone. If I stay with my wife and you allow me to be in your life we can keep it a secret. I won't risk my image unless you demand it of me."
She nods in understanding. She wasn't selfish enough to cost him his position over this.

(Y/n) stares at Enji for a while, his sad expression making her upset. She could tell he wasn't lying.
Being this vulnerable makes him silent and his gaze mostly remains on the ground.
A small smile graces her lips.
"Enji won't you look me in the eyes?" She asks quietly.
He immediately meets her gaze but her smile confuses him.
Movements inside her catch her attention.
She stands up and takes his large hand. She places it against her bump and he instantly recognizes the feeling.
"Our baby is moving. Kicks will follow soon within the next few weeks." He informs and smiles happily at her bump.
She watches his face light up at the movements.
A soft sigh escapes her lips as she nods slightly.
She finally made up her mind.
