Part 3

"I don't want to do this on my own. Not that I can't, I just don't want to. If I think you're being a negative influence then I will pull the plug so fast."
"I understand. I can house you at one of my estates if you wish. It may be more comfortable than this apartment."
She looks around then back at the hero. "Will people not notice you moving a nursery into one of your estates?"
"The public doesn't know about any of my residences. The main estate I'm sure but nothing else. I figured you wouldn't want to live with my family."
(Y/n) thinks about it and nods. "You're right. If I were you I'd keep me as far from them as possible. But if I were you, I would bring my wife home. Children need their mother."
Enji looks away and nods. "I would. If I knew how she felt."
"Little steps matter Enji. If you make an effort to be better I'm sure it will remind her of the man she married."
"Marriage advice from the mistress." He chuckles quietly.
(Y/n) punches his chest hard.
"Ya know, I may not have been completely honest but technically you did this. You used your quirk and took advantage of me."
"I was trying to help you forget being dumped. Now that I know that wasn't the case I regret helping."
"Do you regret our child?"
"Of course not. This is my baby. But I do regret meeting you. Our lives would be easier."
"But nothing would change." He counters and she sighs.
"You're right." She whispers and looks at her bump.

"Let me move you into my second estate. You'll be comfortable and there will be someone to help you when I'm not around."
"I don't want any promises from you. You can say you'll visit but you won't."
"I promise I'll visit once a day." He responds anyways.
She looks at him shocked and confused. "No you won't. I said no promises."
He looks into her eyes and she could see the sincerity behind them.
"Are you scared?" She asks, finally realizing why he was acting so out of character.
He opens his mouth but looks away. "I've lost too much because of my selfishness. I don't want to lose anything else."
(Y/n) cups his face and makes him look into her eyes. "I know we can't be a happy family like others but I won't interfere with Rei and the children. Just because we can't be happy doesn't mean you can't be happy with them. Don't be scared of the future and it's endless possibilities, embrace them."
He holds her hand and leans into her palm. "My pride will get in the way... but I do want to try."
"Be a good role model for our child. Not a reason to be ashamed." The woman smiles softly and kisses Enji softly.
He kisses back and pulls her close. He didn't want to admit he enjoyed it.
She pulls away quickly. "We can't be together Enji. You have Rei."
"You kissed me." He counters.
"I know but I didn't mean for it to go anywhere. Were you gonna take me again?"
The hero blushes slightly and looks away. "No. Of course not."
They both knew that was a lie.

(Y/n) stands up and looks around. "Um... w-when did you want me to uh...be ready by? I don't have much to pack."
"Oh! I can have men here tomorrow afternoon? We could...we could go shopping if you'd like." He responds hastily.
The mother-to-be laughs as she thinks about him with two armfuls of shopping bags.
"We can do that, sure." She agrees and nods.

"Would you care for some assistance with packing?" Enji asks.
(Y/n) thinks about it then nods. "Some help would be nice. My body pains have increased lately. Sometimes I have to take breaks."
"Did you have morning sickness?" He questions, curious.
She shakes her head smiling. "Nope, no puking! Thankfully. That was my biggest fear. I hate puking. It's so-"
Enji looks at the girl confused at her sudden stop.
She grips the couch. "Oh come on," she whispers and stumbles.
He stands up quickly. "What's wrong?"
She rushes to the bathroom and hunches over the toilet.
He knew all too well what was happening. He debated whether or not he should go in.
After a minute he walks into the bathroom and rubs her back.
"I jinxed it I guess. Sorry." He mumbles, apologetically.
She grips the toilet and cries softly.
Upon hearing her his expression softens.
He felt bad now.
Rei used to get really sick, at all times of the day, with all the children.

Once (Y/n) cleans herself up she begins to pack with Enji's help.
Dinner time rolls around quickly and she makes food for them both.
Afterward Endeavor leaves and goes back to the main estate.
Fuyumi is still awake and greets her father. "You were gone for so long. Where did you go?"
He was about to scold her, tell her it was none of her business, but to her surprise he didn't. "I made arrangements with her. She will stay in the second estate. I..."
The sad expression on his daughter's face makes his heart clench.
"Why did you have an affair? Don't you love mom anymore?"
"I love your mother Fuyumi. The circumstances are complicated. I do not wish to get into it. Just know that... I am sorry." He whispers and walks to his room.
The white haired girl stands, completely shocked at her father's apology. She's never heard him apologize for anything, ever.

The next day Endeavor comes down to the kitchen to see his children eating.
"I thought you went back to the dorms, Shoto?" The redhead questions upon seeing his youngest.
"Fuyumi asked me to have breakfast so we could catch up. I didn't expect you to be here." The dual haired boy responds.
"I am leaving now so enjoy. Fuyumi I don't know when I'll be back. Natsuo don't forget to practice later."
The strict formality made the atmosphere uncomfortable for everyone.
The hero leaves and makes his way to (Y/n)'s apartment.
