"Merry Christmas, handsome." Alice kissed her boyfriend as he opened his eyes. He rolled her over so he was on top of her as he deepened the kiss, her heart fluttering like it did everytime she kissed him. Things were starting to get extremely heated as clothes were beginning to be removed when the bedroom door flung open. Summer burst into the room,
"It's Christmas Uncle Mason!" She was quickly followed by Jasmine who was calling for Summer to come back.
"Oh my God I'm so sorry!" Jasmine quickly picked Summer up once she had found her in Mason's old room. Jasmine realised immediately that her daughter had ruined a rather intimate moment between her brother and his girlfriend judging by the awkward silence as well as the sheepish looks on both of their faces.
"Hey, it wouldn't be us if we didn't have someone walk in on us every now and again." Mason said laughing while they were putting their pyjamas back on.
The rest of the family all sat around in the living room, and they all started giggling as Mason and Alice walked hand in hand.
"I wonder what they were doing" said Lewis between laughs, they knew that Lewis knew exactly what they had been doing as Jasmine had evidently told everyone about their run in, as she knew it was perfect material for winding up Mason. Alice felt her cheeks burning, and saw that Mason's had gone a similar shade to his crimson tartan pyjama bottoms.
Everyone was having a fun time opening presents and laughing. Alice felt a real sense of togetherness from Mason's family and could tell that they really enjoyed him being there as he rarely gets to spend that much time with them. Alice opened her present from Mason first. The girl had to stop herself from bursting into tears when she saw the Cartier love bracelet inside it's decadent box.
"Look on the side of it," Mason gently whispered as she lifted the bracelet up and saw some numbers and letters engraved on one side. "It's the coordinates of the queens theatre, where I know you got to play your dream role and it's also where we first met." He smiled as she pulled him into the tightest hug, as she could find no words to express her gratitude towards him.
"Thank you so much, I - uh - it's perfect. I love you." She managed to squeeze out before hugging him again. It was now Mason's turn to unwrap his gift. He smiled in amazement as he revealed a beautifly hand drawn map of the world, there were some pins stuck in the map already with little tags beside them. There was also a small box containing more pins and tags. The drawing was so delicate and beautiful, that you could tell how much love and effort was behind each line.
"There is a pin in every place you have won a match," Alice explained as she saw him study each point in detail, "and hopefully many more to come." she continued gesturing towards the extra pins in the box. Mason was so touched by her gift as he had never been given anything so thoughtful and so creative that still highlighted his proudest achievements.
"You are the best." He smiled as he kissed her lovingly.
