Around 11:07 AM, Ibrahim was in his apartment watching Titans season two episode one, while drinking coke. Abruptly, what happened last night rushed back into his head, making him uncomfortable and concern about the terrible and horrible things that had occurred in the school. The thoughts of watching all those people die horribly without doing anything to save them, changed from grief to a primal rage and violence he do not want to suppress. A sense of outrage and injustice burned inside him. A feeling of hunting down Anita and her friends came into view, thence reminding him of Dr James' murderers. He realized Anita and her friends also want the formulas and obviously associated with the people responsible for murdering Dr James in cold blood.
On the spur of the moment, Ibrahim heard two knocks on his door. He glanced at it feeling nervous and wondered who was it. He got up and walked to the door, then opened it only to found Fateema and Safreena standing there. His eyes grew wide in shock, obviously couldn't remember telling them the apartment building he was living in. The girls walked into the apartment without saying a word, and he closed the door and turned around to the girls, still puzzled about how on earth did they know his apartment room or even the building in general. He walked to the fridge as the girls made themselves a home and returned to them with two bottles of coke which he kept on a table beside them. He took a seat opposite the girls just before they started staring at him as if he is some kind of freak or alien from another planet. He felt his heart beating rapidly in his chest as he listened to their thoughts realizing how desperate they were to know how he and his friends did what they did last night.
"Khalifa sent me your apartment's number and the building's address." Safreena said, breaking the silence in the room.
"Freak!." Fateema said, sternly, as she gazed into Ibrahim's eyes, now realizing how he had been managing to guess what people were thinking about.
Before Ibrahim could respond there came another knock on the door. He sighed heavily as he thought of Abubakar or Nasir being the next guest, or maybe both of them. He got up, walked to the door, opened it and found Abubakar, Nasir, Khalifa, Sauban, Raphael, and Ishaq there. They walked in and joined Safreena and Fateema, shortly before he shut the door close and walked back to his seat. Abubakar and Nasir glanced at the superhumans, waiting for a proper explanation about how they got their superpowers.
"Umm... Are you... still... the people... we used... to know?." Nasir asked, stammering.
"What do you think we are now? aliens or freaks?." Raphael asked, sternly, staring at Nasir who seems clueless.
"We just want to know how you could do what you did last night." Abubakar said, in a serious tone.
"And who the hell were those freaks that turned our school into a slaughter house? Are you guys in some kind of trouble or something?." Safreena asked, freaking out.
"We got into an accident, we were mortally wounded and dying when a scientist showed up and injected this blue fluid into our system that healed us completely, and also gave us powers beyond any human's imagination." Ibrahim said, softly, while he gazed into Fateema's eyes.
"Who were those people after you?." Fateema asked, curiously.
"We don't know too. Last night was the first time we saw them." Raphael said, with a sigh.
"That bitch that turned our chancellor into a pile of ashes, said you got an unfinished business with them." Abubakar said, suspiciously.
"What did they want from you guys?." Nasir asked, eagerly.
"That's a confidential information." Khalifa said, after he recalled what Ibrahim had said to them about the formulas Dr James gave them to protect at all costs.
"Confidential? are you kidding me?." Abubakar asked, sternly, so shocked that Khalifa said that.
"But we can tell you this, the scientist that saved our lives was murdered couple of minutes after. And we believed those folks from last night worked for the corporation." Ishaq said, tenderly.
"So... What are you going to do now?." Abubakar asked, curiously.
"Avenge everyone that was murdered last night." Ibrahim said, in a fit of rage, as he clenched his fist tight.
"But first, we must track down that blue hair wench and her friends, they'll take us to the others." Khalifa said, wisely.
Ibrahim cracked a grin, really impressed that his best friends were finally on the same page with him, willing to do anything with their newfound abilities, just to get justice for all those people that were massacred last night like sheeps. He's more than willing to get things done by any means necessary and won't allow anyone and anything stand in his path to vengeance.
Dr Ernestina was in her laboratory, making out with her favourite Guinea Pig William Stones, after receiving an order from her superiors to spare the lives of Dr Eddy and his side kicks, but should take command of the corporation in the process. As the two were making out wildly, Dr Eddy walked in together with Creda, Anita, and Frank. They stopped what they were doing and then swung a filthy look at the doctor and his sidekicks.
"You did that on purpose, didn't you?." Dr Eddy asked, in disgust. He believes the Geneticist sent the weakest of her creation so that they would fail, and she would take command.
"What part of 'knock before you enter' you don't understand?." William asked, glaring at the former commander and his sidekicks.
"Do yourself a favour William, and shut up!." Frank said, in a fit of rage, his voice rising, as he scowls at the Pseudo-werewolf.
"I like you, Frank!." Dr Ernestina said, with a sexy smile, as she glance at Pyromancer.
"I don't like him." William said, scowling at Frank.
"Those creatures supposed to get rid of those kids, but instead the kids got rid of them." Dr Eddy said, angrily, his voice rising.
"It was meant to be, Eddy!." Dr Ernestina said, loudly, in a stern voice.
"They're stronger and more powerful than any of us." Frank said, in a warning tone.
"They may be the most powerful superhumans, but they don't know how to use their powers properly, which means, you folks would always be ahead of them, because you have control and they don't." Dr Ernestina said, wisely, looking at Anita, Frank, and Creda.
"What are you trying to say?." Creda asked, curiously.
"I want to know how they operate, who give the orders and who follow without a question." Dr Ernestina said, with a vicious smirk.
Creda exchanged a look with Anita and Frank, apparently thinking the same thing. It was obvious to them that Ibrahim and his friends fought them with killer instincts, but they don't know how they operate, who give orders and who follow without any question.
"Well, I'll plan the round two attack myself." Dr Ernestina said, viciously.
"The waves have taken over the case. They got their operatives on the case now." Dr Eddy said, seriously.
"We lost pack mates last night." William said, sternly.
"You lost pack mates!." Anita said, mockingly.
Dr Ernestina in a fit of rage got inside Anita's head, making her to experience a terrible migraine thus, causing her to fall on her knees, screaming in agony. Frank and Creda attempted to help their friend, but the doctor got inside their heads as well, inflicting agony on them as well.
"I guess the former commander haven't told you what I am capable of, now you know that I can unleash an unimaginable pain on you whenever I want." Dr Ernestina said, angrily, scowling at Anita and her friends screaming, sweating and in agony.
"Okay, you make a point, let them go." Dr Eddy said, nervously.
Dr Ernestina cracked a bloody smirk, impressed that Dr Eddy is scared of her now which in no time would change to unquestionable obedience. She then let go of Anita and the others before she went back to what she was doing, making out with William.
Dr Eddy left the laboratory together with Anita, Creda, and Frank terriified by what Dr Ernestina can do. They have underestimated her all this time as a pathetic Geneticist obsessed with creating beasts. But now they know the kind of monster they were dealing with the whole time.
Jude and Vincent appeared on the roof top of a skyscrapper in a puff of black smoke, opposite Coastal City's famous bank. Jude stood on the ledge as he stared down at the bank, seeing people going in and out of it; he had planned to rob the bank today, due to the fact the corporation he was working for doesn't pay him enough money to take care of himself properly.
Vincent joined his friend on the ledge, wondering why he has brought him here in the first place. He looked around the place, waiting for a good explanation, but Jude kept looking down at the bank without saying a word. He gave his friend a sidelook, wondering what he was thinking about. Abruptly, he recalled his best friend complaining about the money the corporation used to give him wasn't enough for him.
"Oh my God Jude, I hope it is not what I am thinking." Vincent said, puzzled, as he gazed at him, realizing what his friend is up to.
"It is. I am robbing that bank with your help today." Jude said, with a smirk.
     "Hell, no!." Vincent said, sternly.
"Hell, yeah!." Jude said, with a wicked smirk.
"Money is in everything, you don't have to rob a bank." Vincent said, trying to convince his friend not to rob the bank.
"Well, I am too broke to believe that!." Jude said, in annoyance, before he gets off the ledge.
Vincent got off the ledge as well and stood beside his friend who seems worried and nervous now. He has never seen him like that before, eversince they met. He believes something must be wrong with him and obviously want to know what that thing is.
"What's wrong, dude?." Vincent asked, tenderly, sounding curious.
"The corporation is sending Femi, Kendra and John after the people I used to care about." Jude said, nervously, feeling drastically uncomfortable.
Vincent stood there, feeling puzzled as he gazed at his best friend, then quickly realized that the college students were actually Jude's friends. Jude extracted a paper out of his pocket and hand it to him. He unfolded the paper to see what's on it; his heart skipped a beat and felt a cold sweat break out on the back of his neck, seeing the photos of Ibrahim with his friends somewhere at a park.
"Oh my God. Ibrahim!." Vincent said, in shock, before he and Jude exchanged a shocking look, apparently nervous and confused.
Jude gazed at Vincent, wondering how he knew Ibrahim's name in the first place. But that's not what really matters right now to him. What really matters now is that he is willing to do unreasonable things to protect his long time best friend and his friends, even if he must leave The Wave for good and doing that would come with a nasty price to pay.
"You know them too?." Jude asked, shocked.
"I know Ibrahim Musa for four years now." Vincent said, in excitement.
"Me too, buddy!." Jude said, in excitement.
"So... What do you plan to do?." Vincent asked, curiously, as the thought of jeopardizing The Corporation's mission to kill Ibrahim and his friends filled his head.
"Stop them no matter what, not to mention, I am tired of being a pawn. Guess what happens if something goes sideways, the pawns always pays the price not the king." Jude said, sagaciously.
Vincent agreed with his best friend to just quit being other people's toys and move on with their lives even though, they both know the consequences of betraying The Wave Corporation. He doesn't care about being hunted down just for doing the right thing for the first time in years.
"Let's do this, buddy." Vincent said, grinning.
"Let's do this, amigo." Jude said, with a wide grin.
"And since we're already here, we should rob the bank to the extent we become the world's most famous and richest bank robbers of all time to come." Vincent said, in a serious tone.
"Really!." Jude said, sounding very excited.
"No, I was kidding." Vincent said, in a chortle, before he sped down the street at a speed of light, impossible for anyone to notice him. Jude cracked a smirk as he felt freedom circulating around his body; he then vanished in a puff of black smoke.
Ibrahim escorted the love of his life out of the apartment building, leaving the others there, still in his apartment watching a movie entitled "Rambo The Last Blood". After exiting the building silently , he came up with the to tell Fateema how he feels about her before it is too late, and he realized she seems to like him too, but waiting for him to make the move first. A part of him felt nervous as he thought what if she just want to be just friends with him, nothing more and nothing less.
After the two stopped on the building's driveway waiting for a cab, Fateema glanced at Ibrahim with excitement as he seems nervous and worried; she decided not to think about him trying to express his feelings for, due to the fact he possessed the ability to read people's minds; she admired the ability, even though it is very dangerous when possessed by evil people.
"When is school opening again?." Fateema asked, breaking the weird silence.
"I don't know, but I will let you know when I do." Ibrahim said, softly.
"How? you don't have my number." Fateema said, with a grin.
Ibrahim glanced at Fateema, smiling while she stared into his eyes unable to stop, because of how strong her affection to him was growing incredibly fast. She told him her phone number mentally after she felt him inside her head. He cracks a surprise grin, then as their eyes locked he thought of only telling her how he feels about her, and he could see in her eyes that she is waiting impatiently for that moment. As he clears his throat, feeling a spark of confidence circulating in his blood. He suddenly caught the glimpse of Anita staring right at them several feet away.
"I will call you later." Ibrahim said, softly, as he gestured at a cab to stop and it did.
"Okay." Fateema said, with a grin, before she got into the cab.
"Number 29, Thames Road." Ibrahim said, as he hands the cab driver a hundred and fifty naira.
     "Thanks!." Fateema said, softly.
"Good bye!." Ibrahim said, happily, before the cab pulls away.
Ibrahim recalling seeing that psychotic supervillainess that murdered people at their school last night, quickly spun to where he had seen her but she ain't there anymore. He looked around the street nervously dreading the idea that she now knows where he is living thence, endangering everyone in the building in the process.
After a moment, Khalifa and Safreena exited the apartment building, holding hands as they laugh excitedly to their jokes. Ibrahim smiles at the couple, obviously impressed that they got back to their senses before it's too late for them, because life is really short and full of complicated things.
"What's with the look and smile?." Safreena asked, in a chuckle, noticing the way Ibrahim was staring and smiling at them.
"Never mind." Ibrahim said, grinning, with a heavy sigh, still disturbed by how Anita found out about where he lives.
"Don't tell me she's gone!." Safreena said, her voice rising, as she looks around but couldn't find Fateema anywhere.
"She's gone home already. You folks were definitely inseparable, that's why she left alone, so that you two can have more fun." Ibrahim said, smiling triumphantly, admiring his creativity.
Safreena just stood there, gaping at Ibrahim, apparently unbelievable that Fateema had ditched her in the name of allowing her to have some time with her new boyfriend. Khalifa on the other hand, just stood there, smiling at his best friend who is always fast in thinking and could manipulate anyone with his innocent face and sweet speeches.
"I'll definitely deal with her for desertion!." Safreena said, sounding disappointed.
"Oh crab... No need for that, Safreena. I'll apologize on behalf of her." Ibrahim said, in a serious tone.
"Oh really! I thought you might say something like that." Safreena said, in a chortle.
"How I wish I could take you home, my sweet love." Khalifa said, softly, as he clutched Safreena's hand in his tenderly.
"Oh it's okay, honey. I just want you to be more careful. That supervillainess is still out there." Safreena said, tenderly, as she locked eyes with her love.
"Supervillainess! That's cute." Ibrahim said, in a chuckle.
"That's a female supervillain, lack brain." Khalifa said, in a stern voice.
"I know, slow mind. I just didn't expect to hear something like that from a science student." Ibrahim said, trying not to sound too odd and rude.
"What do you take science student for, you brain dead moron. We read more books than art students could possibly imagine." Safreena said, feeling offended.
"Physics, chemistry and biology, right?." Ibrahim said, in mocking tone.
"It's okay, honey. Don't mind the idiot." Khalifa said, softly.
Ibrahim stood there feeling a sort of rage suddenly growing inside of him. He couldn't believe it that Khalifa can actually insult him in front of a girl. He glares at him as he stopped a cab for the love of his life and also paid her bill, shortly before she left in the cab. If it was someone else he would have been beating the crab out of them right now.
"What's wrong with you, dude?." Khalifa asked, curiously, feeling offended that his best friend had mocked his girlfriend in his presence.
"If you ever insult me in front of any girl again, I will beat the hell out of you, Khalifa. I'm not joking!." Ibrahim said, his voice rising, in a fit of rage, before he went back inside the building, leaving Khalifa dumbfounded.
Kendra and Femi were on the rooftop of a thirty storey building, waiting impatiently for John to show up, so they could carry out their mission to storm into the apartment building Ibrahim and his friends were for the time being and get rid of them all before they become a problem themselves, due to the nature of the superpowers they possessed. Suddenly, Vincent shows up on the rooftop, a few feet away and smiling triumphantly at one of the most dangerous Supervillains in existence.
"What do you think you are doing here, prick?." Kendra asked, rudely.
"We thought you girls were lonely, that's why we're here to make you feel comfortable." Vincent said, smirking widely.
Femi and Kendra exchanged a puzzle look, wondering if Vincent was losing touch with reality or if he was on some kind of drugs capable of causing hallucinations. They looked around but couldn't find anyone on the rooftop except the ridiculous speedster whom is one of the superhumans they hated so much, because they considered him a liability due to his ability to move faster than anyone on the planet, except speedsters like himself.
"We?." Femi asked, in disgust, scowling at the speedster.
On the spur of the moment, Jude appears behind the girls in a puff of black smoke, wielding a steel pipe. Without any second thought, he knocks Femi out cold due to her ability to create and manipulate flames. Kendra looked startled, seeing her best friend lying on the ground out cold.
"What have you done, you prick face? Oh, you're so dead when she wakes up." Kendra said, in a cold tone, but before she could react, Vincent speeds towards her and knocks her out cold with a fist.
