That afternoon, Ibrahim exited his apartment, looking uncomfortable, unable to bear listening to all the voices he could hear from all over the world. He couldn't believe how he can see miles away with immense resolution, hear through dense walls perfectly, listen to sweat drop from someone's face miles away, smell anything over vast distances up to and including individual molecules, taste the smallest details to the extent of distinguishing at a molecular level, and feel the slightest vibration in the air, ground and water. And the most fascinating thing is that he could now read an infinite number of minds whenever he wants to, without any limitation at all. All of a sudden, he sensed the presence of one of his long time best friends, Umar Buhari, whom was studying in Sudan, outside the apartment building. He quickly got into one of the elevators to go outside the building, just to welcome his best friend whom he haven't for the past three years.
Umar Buhari got out of his blue Peugoet 406, grinning happily, as he kept gazing at the apartment building his best friend has been dwelling in ever since he and his family moved to the city from Sparrow City three years ago. On the spur of the moment, he spotted him standing just a few feet from the main entrance of the building, grinning happily as well. He felt so happy to see his best friend in person after all these days, though they used to chat on Facebook, Instagram, 2go and WhatsApp so often.
"So glad to see you, man." Umar said, in a serious tone, after Ibrahim came to where he was standing.
Ibrahim happily embraced his best friend tightly and happily, obviously so glad to see him too. He pulled away after he suddenly got overwhelmed by a sort of grief as the image of Abdulaziz Idris, his best friend and Umar's cousin, whom had died two years ago in a tragic car accident, filled his head and distort his emotion.
"Are you ok?." Umar asked, softly and curiously.
"Abdulaziz... I really miss him, dude." Ibrahim said, feeling sad.
"We all did, man. He will never be forgotten and I will never stop praying for him." Umar said, feeling sad, as he recalls the last time he had seen his cousin alive.
"May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace, pal." Ibrahim said, as tears filled his eyes.
"Amen." Umar said, with a sigh.
"Aren't you supposed to be in Sudan right now?." Ibrahim asked, sounding curious about why Umar came back
"I'm on vacation. I have been away for a while, man." Umar said, so glad to be back home.
John was on the rooftop of a twenty storey building, waiting for Kendra and Femi to show up for the mission to exterminate the potential threats. He glanced down at his watch, it's already 2:10 PM, and his crime partners are late which is very unusual, because they're always punctual when it comes to committing a crime. Suddenly, he felt a presence behind him, that makes him to turn around and finds Vincent and Jude standing a good seven feet from him.
Vincent and Jude stood there, staring at one of the most powerful and lethal superhumans on the planet, and also the very first superhuman to possess four superpowers during the experimentation. They are apparently trying to figure a way to deal with him before he goes after their best friend and his friends.
"What are you doing here?." Vincent asked, with a sigh, before he looked around.
"Do you guys ever had a true friend elsewhere whom you haven't seen for a decade, until you were given a mission to kill someone, and then you found out that the person you are to kill is actually that true friend of yours?." John asked, in a serious tone, looking at Vincent and Jude.
Jude and Vincent exchanged a puzzle look, not sure what John really meant by what he has said. Suddenly, a rush of realization struck them hard, that Ibrahim could have been that true friend he was talking about.
"Oh my God! You know Ibrahim too, don't you?." Vincent asked, sounding curious.
John seems a bit confused all of a sudden about how Vincent even know Ibrahim's name in the first place. He moves closer to them as he stares at them with curious eyes, willing to find out how they knew about his old friend. He checks the time again, wondering why his crime partners are late.
"Who is Ibrahim to you, John?." Jude asked, in a curious tone, feeling suspicious.
"You take me for a fool, don't you? Let me guess, the boss sent you here, after me, in case I refused to kill my own friend. I suspected he figured it out, due to fact he is very good at what he can do." John said, in a stern voice.
"Oh my God! Ibrahim is your friend too." Jude said, in excited.
"Wait... You know him... Too?." John asked, sounding unbelievable.
"I met the fella on 2go like six years ago. Vincent, here, met him in a Teen Wolf group like four years ago." Jude said, with a chuckle.
John began to laugh heartily and happily that he somehow ended up on the same page with Vincent and Jude, whom he has considered one of the trifling superhumans on the planet. Suddenly, the thought of Femi and Kendra, crossed his mind; he's willing to do whatever it takes to stop them from touching a hair on Ibrahim and his best friends, even if he must get rid of them first.
"What's wrong?." Jude asked, studying his mood.
"The Flame Queen and her crime partner would be here any time." John said, in a serious tone.
"Don't worry about that. We have taken good care of the harlots." Vincent said, with a smirk.
John stood there, gaping at Vincent, whom claimed that he and his friend had taken good care of The Flame Queen and her sidekick, the most dangerous and vicious supervillains on the planet, whom would kill without a second thought or even asking a question. He began to laugh heartily, thinking it was just a joke, because there are only few superhumans out there that can handle those two, most especially The Flame Queen herself; The Lightning and The Breacher aren't amongst them.
Umar and Ibrahim arrived at a traffic jam unlike any they have ever seen before, on their way to Fateema's house. The traffic jam was as a result of an accident two kilometers away. Started feeling bored, Umar increased the volume of the playing song "Shape Of You", while Ibrahim just sat in the front seat, listening to all the voices he could hear world wide, thanks to his ultimate hearing.
On the spur of the moment, Ibrahim sensed the presence of Anita very close. He instinctively glanced at the rear view mirror and caught the sight of the blue hair super villainess standing near a truck behind them. Feeling uncomfortable, he gave his best friend a side look, whom was busy singing. Without a word, he quickly turn off the music, just as he saw the super villainess coming toward them smiling wickedly.
"What the hell, man?." Umar asked, puzzled.
"Wait here, I'll be right back." Ibrahim said, in a hurry tone.
Before Ibrahim could get out of the car, Anita appears and then leans on the door, smiling at him viciously. All of a sudden, he feels a sort of rage accompanied by vengeance growing inside him rapidly, recalling what she had done last night without any mercy or compassion at all.
"Hello, handsome." Anita said, with a chuckle.
"You really have guts coming here after what you did to all those poor souls last night." Ibrahim said, in a fit of anger, glaring at the supervillainess.
"I'm here for a reason, scum. I got two news for you, good and bad, as usual." Anita said, smiling viciously, admiring the way he was looking at her.
"I got a bad and good news for you, slut. Beat it while you still can and tell your superiors that they got only five hours left to vanish. The bad news is, you're all going to pay for what you did." Ibrahim said, in a threatening tone.
Anita, smiling viciously, abruptly squeezed her face as she processed Ibrahim's threats. On the other hand, Umar just sat there, apparently feeling puzzle about what's really going on at the moment.
"You still have something we want, handsome. Give us the formulas and you're all free to go. Refuse and watch all your love ones suffer and die like pigs." Anita said, in a stern voice, feeling a sense of unleashing violence overwhelmed her all of a sudden.
"So be it, bitch. I'm sparing for last." Ibrahim said, in a fit of rage.
Anita paused for a moment, apparently now really mad at Ibrahim and all his friends with the Serum X in their bloodstream. She stepped away from the car, looked around her, seeing vehicles everywhere. She cracked a wicked smile, realizing now is the perfect time to unleash her wrath on all these innocent people just to make a point that The Aegis shouldn't be cross by those who don't know what they were dealing with.
"Even stupidity has a price, son." Anita said, in a chuckle, before she walks off.
Ibrahim stared at Anita coldly as she was walking away, feeling a sense of vengeance growing rapidly. A part of him just want to get out of the car and make the supervillainess pay for what she did last night, while the other part of him just want to wait for the right time to strike and destroy them once and for all, with his newfound superpowers. On the other hand, Umar just sat there, obviously confused and curious to know what kind of mess his best friend has gotten himself into, because getting into trouble is always his habit back in the day.
"What's going on here? Who is that hot chick? What kind of trouble did you get yourself into?." Umar asked, in a curious tone.
Anita stopped in her tracks few cars away from Ibrahim and Umar. She glanced back at them over a shoulder with a sinister grin; then quickly got on the hood of a green jeep. She closed her eyes for a moment as she spreads her arms in the air, shortly before her body started generating electricity, consequently forcing the jeep's driver and everyone around her to started fleeing out of self-preservation, not to mention, everyone in the city have heard about the horrifying and the terrifying thing that happened at Decent College yesterday. She got on the roof of the jeep, smirking viciously, spotting Ibrahim and his friend gaping right at her apparently clueless.
"This is just the beginning!." Anita said, loudly, before she started a killing spree, shattering people into ashes as they tried to flee to safety.
Ibrahim and Umar quickly got out of the car in terror as the supervillainess kept killing people like flies while she laughs like a crazy person, obviously enjoying it. They started helping people who got trapped in their vehicles and those unable to run due to old age. After helping an old couple out of their old school car, Ibrahim found a red bandanna on the ground; an idea to stop Anita from what she was doing, crossed his mind.
"Get out of here, Umar. I can stop her." Ibrahim said, as he covered his face with the bandanna, leaving only his eyes to see.
"What? Are you insane or what?." Umar asked, in a terrified tone.
"I want you to trust me, dude." Ibrahim said, in a serious tone.
"I've always trusted you, man, but that bitch got superpower!." Umar said, in a warning tone.
"We will talk later about what you are about to see, but for now get out of here." Ibrahim said, before he heads toward Anita, leaving his best friend dumbfounded.
Anita whom was busy turning people into piles of ashes mercilessly, without feeling any remorse, instinctively spun back on the roof of the jeep and saw Ibrahim, now concealing his identity with a red bandanna, few feet away from her, coming toward her angrily. She cracked a wicked smirk before she hurled a bolt at him, but he managed to avoid it at a speed of light, that galvanized her. Before she could react, he jumped high up, over her head and landed few inches from her; the landing impact ruin the jeep and also send the supervillainess flying backward and finally crashed on the hood of a car hard.
Ibrahim standing on the roof of the wrecked jeep heard sirens from a distance away, shortly before two helicopters owned by NTA and DITV appears at the scene to take coverage of the ongoing event on Oyo Street. He swung a filthy look at the supervillainess, catching her breath while still lying on the hood of the car she crashed on. In a fit of murderous rage, he jumped off the wrecked jeep, clenched a fist in the air and landed on the hood with a decisive blow, but the supervillainess managed to get out of harm's way just in time; the impact on the hood wrecked the car beyond repair, sending out a wave of power that shattered glasses, deformed metals and jostled the supervillainess several feet away, knocking the wind out of her.
Feeling impressed by his newfound superpowers, Ibrahim got down the wrecked car, scowling at Anita trying to catch her breath, looking nervous and at the same time terrified of him. He stopped two feet from the supervillainess, looked at the mob several feet away and he spotted Umar amongst them, clearly terrified and at the same time confused by what he was watching.
"I gave you a choice, harlot. But you chose to go against it by starting a killing spree." Ibrahim said, in a cold tone.
"You're starting what you can't finish, son." Anita said, with a chuckle, after she got back to her feet.
Ibrahim just stood there, wondering if she even knows what he was planning for her people. He already knows where to find them, thanks to his ultimate hearing and the ability to see everywhere at once. On the spur of the moment, he instinctively sensed Frank kilometers away, heading his way and consumed by flames. He spun around swiftly and caught the Pyromancer by the throat in the mid air before he could strike.
"Man... You're too slow. I sensed and saw you coming kilometers away." Ibrahim said, with a chuckle.
Anita stood there, looking puzzled about how Ibrahim was able to sense someone kilometers away. But before she could react, a blue portal appears three feet away; three Chinese men in their 30s walked trough it, looking mean and dangerous. Ibrahim, on the other hand, swung a filthy look at them, getting inside their minds in the process, to know everything about them.
"Hello, Kane, Pate, Bob. How are you guys doing?." Ibrahim said, with a chuckle, just before he jostled Frank away, a good twenty feet.
The Chinese super villains exchanged a puzzle look, as the portal they came through disappears, wondering how on earth Ibrahim knew their names, but then reminds themselves that the world is changing gradually with the coming of Superhumans who can do unnatural things no human can do, even in their dreams. They spread out, realizing that he can read their thoughts, making him a credible threat they shouldn't toy with, even though they were told that he and his friends don't know how to use their so-called powers properly.
Ibrahim subconsciously detected the superpowers of the Chinese supervillains; making him smile sarcastically. Kane wielding supernatural strength and supernatural durability, prowled at the new Superhuman viciously, swung around with decisive blows that he avoided at a light speed, but got hit several feet into a building.
Pate wielding enhanced strength and enhanced durability, pounced at Ibrahim ferociously and blindly, but before he could swing a punch, the new Superhuman bats him away, a good thirty six feet as if he is a kind of rag doll. Bob who possessed supernatural speed, pounced at him at hypersonic speed and swung a fist at him that he caught with an open palm, smiling viciously.
"You're fast, fella, but not fast enough." Ibrahim said, in a murderous rage, before he crushed the speedster's fist beyond repair like a piece of paper.
Bob fell on his knees screaming in an excruciating pain, shortly before Anita attempted to come to his aid, but Ibrahim mentally jostled her against a truck hard enough to knock the wind out of her. He swung a punch with his other fist, Ibrahim avoided it laughing softly.
Ibrahim seized the speedster by the throat and then lifted him up above his head effortlessly. He swung a look at Anita whom is now on her feet, recalling what she had done last night that he couldn't forget, no matter how much he had tried to. He looked up at the speedster viciously, feeling the urge to just kill him, which he ultimately did by snapping his neck with no effort at all.
