BTS Jungkook - Love and Sacrifice (Angst)

I just felt like writing this short one shot down. It's been an idea for a really long time now and I wanted to just write it down. So, enjoy!

"We were best friends.

We would always play and hang out together.

And then, he... Left me.

He left me for no reason.

Does that seem right?

Or maybe it's one of those reasons where you leave a person you love the most.

Nah, why would he bother doing that?

Was it because of me? Did he think of me as a nuisance? A hindrance to his plans? What? What exactly did I do to make him leave?

He didn't even bother to say goodbye.

아파요...

And what hurts the most is that, I didn't get to say my feelings for him.

But, I have to live my life without him.

I hope he's living his life without me."

"So, you haven't met him ever since?" I asked.

"Yes." She replied weakly.

I gave her a smile and engulfed her with a hug. I wanted to make sure she's okay. For an elder, she's alone and she needs someone who could keep her company.

"In love, we do get hurt. Especially when it was one-sided love. If he's not meant for you, then maybe fate doesn't want you two together." She spoke.

"That's right." I said. "So, let's end this episode. Thank you and have a nice afternoon everyone."

"Cut!" The director yelled. "Nice job, Lee Hana and Ms. Park."

So, I'm Lee Hana. 21 years old. I'm a host of a variety show where women and men talk about their love stories in the past. They're usually elders and share a lot of wise words when it comes to love. And you could actually learn from them.

Ms. Park's story almost made me tear up. Now, I want to know more about her story. But first, I need to invite her for dinner.

"Ms. Park, I would like to know your full love story. It's so touching, honestly." I asked.

She gave a deep breath before beginning, "It all started when we were 5. Our parents were close, very close. So, I think that's why we were best friends. Anyways, we were inseparable. We would always spend most of the day together. Now, when we were 17, I developed feelings for him. But, he had a girlfriend already. So, I just had to deal with it. But, I still continued supporting him, like what any best friend should do. When we reached the age of 20, things changed. He left with an unknown reason. He didn't contact me after that. That left me wondering. And through the rest of my 55 years, I still love him. Until now. But, he doesn't know that I still love him deeply."

"But, why didn't you mention all these details in the interview earlier?"

"Because I didn't want him to know. I wanted him to forget about me. I wanted him to live freely, because I love him. So therefore, I didn't want to make it that obvious, right?" She replied.

All of sudden, I found that I was in tears. "It's so sad."

"It's okay, my dear. That's love." She replied with a smile.

"What is his name?"

"Jungkook. Jeon Jungkook."

Apparently, I found out how he was doing. I found out through one of his siblings' children. They told me that he left her because he was sick. He didn't want to get her hurt. Because, he feels the same way about her. He loves her. He died about 10 years ago and told his siblings not to tell anything about him to Ms. Park.

It's truly as sad and tragic story. About, love and sacrifice.

I'm here at the grave of Ms. Park and Mr. Jeon. Yes, Ms. Park died yesterday. I was sad, but at least she will be with him in heaven.

I walked out of the cemetery and bumped into a stranger.

"Oh, I'm sorry." I said.

"It's okay." He said. "Jungkook. Jeon Jungkook."

My jaw dropped. "Hana. Lee Hana."

"Let's be friends?" He asked.

"Sure." I replied with a smile.
