"Are you ready to go Maple?" Snowfall called impatiently to the pale red and white apprentice. Who was in the cave, probably gossiping with Meadow about something.

"Maple!" Snowfall barked at her in annoyance.

"I'm coming!"

Maple came running out of the cave to the group of wolves waiting for her.

Snowfall, Maple, Marigold, Sorrel, and Thunder were all going out to the meadow to hunt and gather lavender.

"We wanted to be back by sunset, not tomorrow!" Marigold said to her as she ran over to join them.

"I don't take that long." Maple said rolling her eyes.

"Enough gawking, we're leaving before it gets any later." Sorrel said leading them out of the northern camp exit.

"Okay, Alpha." Maple muttered in Snowfall's ear, in a voice low enough for only her to hear.

Snowfall grinned at her friends little remark of her mentor's bossiness.

The wolves all walked through the forest heading towards the meadow, northwest in their pack's territory.

Clouds dotted the sky and was a breeze was blowing over the forest.

Two days passed since the day Snowfall had to vision and told Sorrel. Her mentor wasn't surprised by what Snowfall told her though.

The Healer said she had multiple dreams of Snowfalls true destiny, not to be a Healer. Sorrel was stubborn though with the Ancestor Wolves and refused to listen to them.

But she couldn't ignore the fact now; Snowfall needed to be a Warrior and not a Healer. But, at least it would be a valuable skill for Snowfall to have, knowledge in herbs and treating ailments.

Though Snowfall was certainly upset at this fact, but if it was what she was destined to do, then so be it. She would continue her training as a Healer for several more days before going into training to be a Warrior.

Maple walked with her head held high and tail out in confidence beside her. Only an apprentice for a half moon and she was acting as though she were a pack Beta.

A chilly breeze floated through the sky. The first signs of the season of the red leaves and after that the frost-moons. The frost- moons were the hardest times for a wolf pack. Food was scarce during that time. But one good thing that happened during the frost-moons was the Ancestors New Moon Festival.

Before the thawing of the snow season, the packs meet before The Ancestor wolves, all gathered together to feast and celebrate the coming of the sun-moons and the thaw of the frost-moons under the New Moon that was a sign that the frost-moons would be over soon.

Snowfall had never seen snow before, or been to the New Moon festival. But she would be able to once the time came around.

They all walked for a while having friendly chats all the way to the meadow. Snowfall longed to see the golden and green rolling slopes of the meadow, with the scents of lavender and prey filling the air.

Beyond laid the mountains, the home of the Mountain Pack wolves.

After a while of their walking, they came through the forest of birch trees. It was so beautiful there. The pretty white and black striped trunks of the trees and all of the sunlight filtering through the branches and leaves. These had to be the white apprentices favorite trees being so different from all the other trees in the forest.

It was truly one of Snowfalls favorite places of the territory. Everything was so bright, and since the red leaves season was coming soon, it would be even more beautiful. However the leaves wouldn't start changing for at least another two moons or so.
