Snowfall shifted uncomfortably in her nest. Her throat felt like needles were jabbing into it every time she swallowed. The feeling was agonizing pain. She attempted the get it down out of he throat but to no prevail. This was deeply disturbing her sleep, and all she wanted to was that, especially due to the sudden turn of events that happened earlier in the day with her father and the newcomers. Moving into different positions to maybe adjust herself to rest didn't seem to work either.
A groan of discomfort came out of the apprentice. Her sore throat seemed to have come out of nowhere and it did not want to leave. Moth slowly lifted her tired head hearing her sister's grunts and groans beside her. "Ugh, Snowfall. Stop moving and let me sleep." The apprentice mumbled in her raspy half asleep voice, turning over to her side away from her.
The only reply Snowfall could get out was a low groan. Moth lifting her head to look at Snowfall over her shoulder in annoyance, but her gaze softened when she noticed how uneasy she was. "You feeling ok?"
"My throat hurts." Snowfall managed to get out. Once she did that, she brought her head close to her chest at how painful it was just to speak. Can this just go away? Why do things keep on happening to me? I already had a off enough day with the vision and my father, I had to get sick too!
"What? You're not sick are you?" Moth's voice was coated with worry.
"Would you two just keep it down? You two are to loudest apprentices in this den!" Storm grumbled glaring over at them in the dark den. Just then another stabbing pain pierced into the top of Snowfall's head, causing her to squeeze her eyes shut and let groan out from her lips.
"I think Snowfall's sick, do you mind?" Moth snapped in reply to him and looked back at her sister.
"Sick? Who's sick?" Meadow awoke upon hearing them speak.
"Snowfall is." Storm answered for her. The twinge of pain hit Snowfalls eyes. Please, just stop talking before everyone wakes up. Snowfall longed to say, but if she did, she would have to swallow and have the feeling of thorns jabbing in her throat.
"Come on," Moth whispered in a soft voice to her unwell sister. "Let's get you to Sorrel's den."
Moth assisted Snowfall to her paws and led her to Sorrel's den. The sound of Snowfalls heavy paw steps from her grogginess caused multiple wolves they walked past to stir in their nest's.Upon entering the den, Sorrel woke up to find the two sisters at the entrance of her den which made her jump in surprise just seeing their silhouettes as her eyes managed to adjust. "Great Moonlight, you two scared me!" The Healer let out a sigh but then noticed Snowfall's fatigued look. "Snowfall are you unwell?"
"Yeah, she said her throat hurts." Moth explained for her sister.
Sorrel shook her head and got up to the go look at Snowfall. "Her throat you say? Snowfall, can you speak?"
Snowfall looked at her and just nodded her head but did not speak. Sorrel caught onto the young wolf and asked another question. "Does it hurt to speak?"
The apprentice gave another nod. Sorrel looked in thought for a moment before speaking again. It felt like it hurt for her to even keep her eyes open, but if she closed them, sleep would not come. "Well, it could just well be a cold, but if it's not, it could be something a bit more serious like shivers."
Hearing the words made Snowfall tense, she really hoped it wasn't that. "What's shivers?" Asked Moth tilting her head curiously to the side.
"It can be a deadly illness to some, causing a sore throat, inability to speak, vomiting, coughing, and coughing up fluids, running nose, fatigue, fever and chills, hallucina-" Sorrel stopped herself seeing the look of sheer horror on Snowfall's face.
