Darren Morgana watched in fear and amusement as Venix Draywin plowed through Talon, the edge of her red wings slicing through his skin as he tumbled to the floor. A curse escaped his lips as he held his face, his dark eyes glaring at the witch that towered above him, holding his glare.

He watched as her eyes narrowed at the veins of his neck, the ruges and veins on her arms illuminating red as she seemingly held him there. Her talons dug into her palm as she continued to hold her gaze on him, watching as sweat beaded on his forehead and down his throat.

Talon struggled to breathe a word out as his body bent against his will, the snap of his bones ringing in Darren's ears as he heard the rush and boil of blood running through his veins. Venix pressed her lips together and walked away from him, clutching the bow and arrow set in her other hand against her chest.

A few feet away from Talon, Madhavi watched on, sweaty and bloody as she took a couple of steps back, conjuring a ball of sunlight in her hands. She launched herself in the air, those fiery wings of flame and light burning in the early afternoon sky, and released the ball of light, shaping them into whips and arrows as they traveled towards Venix.

The witch was quick to see the attack, the shadows around her moving forward as they created a thin layer of protection. She brought her wings forward to cover her just as the whips and arrows ricocheted off the shadow barrier. A few managed to slip through burning her arms and legs and the witch hissed, momentarily losing her grip on Talon.

Glowering at her, Venix refocused her gaze on Talon as reached back to draw several arrows from the strap on her back, the red-tipped weapon gleaming as she strung it back.

"Wait" Talon pleaded, holding his hand out. "Spare me. Please."

But Venix barely paid attention to his plea, her eyes glaring at him as she released the arrows. The weapon ripped through the air like a comet, singeing anything in its path as it pierced Talon's shoulder blade. A scream left his lips as she released him from her mental grip, his body flying back and landing on the ground with a hard thud.

Darren winced, pressing his hand against his shoulder blade.

He continued to watch as the witch turned back to Madhavi who was prepared with another ball of sunlight in her hands, the rest surrounding her like an ethereal ray of fire. Venix narrowed her eyes at her, cocking her head to the side as she continued to stare at her opponent.

Beads of sweat ran down Madhavi's face as she struggled to keep her composure, steam rising from her skin as the BloodBone continued to keep her blood hot under the surface and her skin blistering. This time, she bent the demi-hybrid backward, locking her in that position as she flew close to her.

The shadows followed her, engulfing her in partial darkness as she fought against the light protection Madhavi was projecting. Scowling, the witch beckoned the shadows around her as she pressed her lips together, muttering a spell underneath her breath.
