Sunday was quiet. I woke up late and made myself some peppermint tea as an attempt to prompt a productive day. It didn't work. I finally finished a book I had been reading called We Were Liars and the ending ruined the rest of my day. Don't get me wrong, I loved the ending, but it was sad and made me feel depressed until I got a certain text from a certain person

it's big enough alreadyI fell asleep easily that night and dreamt of hanging out with Noah. There wasn't really any plot to the dream. It was just us walking around LA, swimming, being together, and loving every second of it. It was the first time in a while that I was happy to hear my alarm go off.
I immediately got up, made myself some avocado toast and a scrambled egg, and ate that while mindlessly scrolling through TikTok. I barely noticed my Mom coming downstairs.
"Hey," she greeted me. "Why are you down so early?" I usually stay in my room for an hour or two after waking up. Not to be your cliche antisocial teen, but I like my quiet time in the morning.
"Gotta leave to pick up Noah at 11."
"Oh, Noah's in town? Isn't he still filming?" I finished filming season 4 of Stranger Things around a month ago, but some of the actors (Noah included) were still in Atlanta to finish certain scenes.
"Noah Jupe," I corrected. I had a feeling I'd have to correct her quite a few times throughout the day.
"Oh, right right," she nodded. "Quiet Place boy." I chuckled and stood up.
"I'm gonna go get dressed," I told her. I walked back to my room and grabbed the outfit I laid out on my dresser the night before. Yes, I'm that kind of person. It was a hotter day than usual, so I wore a lilac tank top, some baggy denim shorts, my AF1s, and a hell of a lot of Pinterest looking rings and necklaces. I had straightened my hair last night, so I was set. I also did my usual daily makeup routine extra carefully. Of course, this whole time I had music playing.Meet me at our spot
Got something I wanna show you
Meet me at our spot
They can't find us thereI sang along to my favorite song as I sprayed some setting spray on my face and checked the time: 10:47. I didn't have to leave for another 10ish minutes, but I'm always ready early. I double checked the address of the hotel Noah had sent me, making sure it was where I thought it was. Yep, 57 minutes away. I opened Instagram and checked out what everyone was up to. There was nothing exciting enough to take my mind off of leaving. I was too anxious about finally seeing Noah. I decided to use the extra time to double check that this was actually happening.
dovie
leaving in like 5
u awake yetjupiter
Oops forgot we were supposed to hang out todayUnfortunately, I couldn't tell if this was a joke or not. It had to be a joke, right? He has been talking about how excited he is since we planned it. Thankfully, he shut down my anxiety.
jupiter
Jk I'll be ready soon
You're like an hour away right?dovie
yep i'll be there at noon
and i'm never late so be readyjupiter
yes ma'amI chuckled, grabbed my bag, and walked downstairs. "Mom, I'm leaving in like two minutes!" I yelled, not sure where she was. My voice echoed throughout the house.
"Ok!" She yelled back. I then saw her walk into the walkway from the dining room. "Remember, I have a meeting at 2 in Redondo so I won't be home until like 5."
"Oh, yeah, ok," I replied. I'm used to her having meetings and photo shoots. It's not like she's gone all the time, but it's not unusual. When I was younger and Lily-Rose still lived in LA, she would come over and babysit a decent amount. That's probably why we're so close now.
"Text Brad if there's an emergency," she said. "or Rosemary if there's an actual emergency." Rosemary is our neighbor. The only time I've actually had to text her when I was home alone is when our keypad broke and I needed to borrow the key my mom gave her.
"Will do," I nodded.
"And don't do anything crazy with Noah," she threw in.
"Mom," I groaned.
"I know I know," she said. "Just, be careful." I simply rolled my eyes.
"I'll see you tonight," I waved and walked down to the garage. The reality of what was happening kicked in as I punched Noah's hotel into Google Maps. The last time I saw him we were practically strangers. Ever since we met, we've been texting, FaceTiming, and flirting more and more each day. Now we'll have to see what we're like in person. Unfortunately, I didn't have time for an anxiety attack, so I started driving.
The drive was normal. I listened to a whole lot of music and sang as loudly as I wanted which is the biggest perk of driving alone. Most of the hour drive was spent on the highway. It usually stresses me out to drive that fast, but the amount of traffic meant not going much faster than 40 mph too often. When I finally got off the highway, the drive was really nice. The area around Noah's hotel was really cute. It wasn't crazy industrial or urban like a lot of the areas with hotels are. It was a nice, relatively quiet neighborhood.
"In 200 feet, make a left on 25th street," my directions said through the speakers. "Then, the destination is on your right." Almost there. I quickly checked the time: 11:57. Right on time. I turned onto the street and immediately saw the hotel on the left. It wasn't huge like a Hilton or Hyatt. It seemed more intimate and homey. I bet Noah liked that. I pulled into the parking lot and parked near the side of the building. "Arrived," my phone spoke. I quickly grabbed it and opened my texts with Noah.dovie
i'm in the parking lotjupiter
Coming downstairs nowI felt my legs start to shake a little. I couldn't figure out what I was feeling, but I knew I couldn't wait to see him. I stepped out of my car and quickly locked it before walking to the front of the hotel. As I got to the clear door, I saw the elevator open and my heart stopped. A little old lady walked out and my heart started again. Ugh, hurry up. I decided to stay outside just in case an employee was suspicious as to why I was anxiously waiting around the lobby. Two more groups of people came down in the elevator. Neither group contained Noah. Could there be another elevator somewhere else? Or maybe he forgot something in the room and had to go back up? Is this even the right hotel? I pulled out my phone to triple check the address. As I unlocked it, I was interrupted.
"Miss Davina Depp," a British voice spoke behind me.
