After admiring the waterfalls for 10 or 20 more minutes, we threw the leftover pizza into the trunk and drove back to my house. I don't think the car was silent for more than two seconds during the whole ride. I probably could've told you just about anything about Noah by the time I pulled into the garage. Go ahead, quiz me.
"So this is where Guinevere Hunter lives," Noah joked. "I'm in the presence of a celebrity."
"She's not home," I laughed. "She'll be back in a few hours so you'll have to put up with me for a little if you wanna meet her."
"Ugh," he rolled his eyes and unbuckled his seatbelt. "Fine."
"Don't act so excited," I smirked as I got out of the car. "You brought a bathing suit, right?"
"Of course," he nodded. "Taking full advantage of the LA swimming weather." I led Noah into the house from the garage and gave him a mini tour.
"Here's the dining room," I told him. "I haven't eaten in here since my last birthday when my whole family came over." He sat down in one of the chairs and put his hands on the table.
"Comfortable," he nodded. "I approve." I laughed to myself. I have to admit it was weird seeing him in my house. He seemed out of place. Like I'm so used to seeing him on my phone screen and now he's here where I live. I loved it though.
"And that's about it...Oh, but I wanna show you my room," I remembered.
"Alright," he said standing up. "Keep the door open so your mum doesn't find out you had a boy in there," he joked.
"I have guy friends," I reminded him as I led him upstairs. "Wyatt and Finn literally slept in my room like last week." I saw his expression fall for just a millisecond before he realized that he looked jealous. "But then again, Wyatt and Finn don't kiss me in front of waterfalls so..." He smirked and shook his head.
"Is your mum gonna hate me because of that?"
"She doesn't need to know," I shrugged as we approached my door. "At least not until after you leave so you won't have to suffer through the awkwardness."
"I appreciate it," he laughed.
"Anyway, here's my room." I brought him inside and dramatically held my arms up.
"Wow," he nodded. "Very nicely decorated. I like it."
"Thank you," I bowed and sat down on my bed. I then tapped the comforter next to me, motioning for him to come sit. He did and continued looking around. His eyes were glued to a picture frame on my nightstand, so I picked it up and handed it to him. He examined the photo closely while I rested my head on his shoulder.
"Wait, let me see if I recognize all of these people," he said.
     "Ok, yeah, go."
"Ok," he cleared his throat and adjusted himself. "The one lying down is Jayden."
     "Mhm."
"And then that's Lauren and Jules next to her and Johnny and Noah Schnapp behind them."
     "Good job," I nodded.
"And who's that one?" he asked, pointing to a brown-haired boy smiling brightly with his arm around Jules.
"Oh, that's Asher Angel," I told him. "We used to be really close but he and Jules dated and had a bit of a rough break up...I'm still friendly with him though."
"Ah, I see," he nodded, causing his curls to brush my forehead. "And then the cute one back there is Davina Depp from Stranger Things."
"Yeah, we're not friends anymore," I joked.
"Why not?" he played along.
"She's just a real bitch," I said.
"Not gonna lie, I've met her and I can confirm that statement." I smirked and pulled him down so we were lying flat on the bed with our heads on my pillow. He laughed as we gently bounced on the mattress. "Hey, she's a cute bitch though," he shrugged with his head turned to me.
"I can confirm that statement," I quoted him. "But there's also this kid named Noah Jupe who I hung out with once." I turned my head so I was looking at the ceiling, but he continued watching me. "He was a real pain in my ass."
"What'd he do?" he chuckled.
"Well I met him at a premiere," I started, turning my head back to him. "And he forced me to give him my number and then texted me like the next day asking to hang out."
"Talk about desperate," he rolled his eyes.
"I know," I nodded with wide eyes. "He's really lucky he's cute."
"I don't know, he's not that cute," he said in a fake disgusted tone.
"He's pretty cute," I corrected. "I like his curls." I ran my hand through his hair, causing him to close his eyes and smile gently. His hand met mine and he held them together right at his chin. I could feel his soft lips against my knuckles. "See?" I said. "Talk about desperate." He rolled his eyes and I cuddled in closer to him before he could come up with a comeback. He let go of my hand so he could wrap his arms around me.
"I thought you wanted to swim," he said quietly. Our faces were on the pillow right next to each other..
"We can swim later," I responded. "We can't do this later...when my mom is home I mean."
"I thought you have boys in your room all the time," he quoted me.
"Yeah, but she thinks all my friends are gay...she'd see the way you look at me and immediately know something's up."
"Wow," he chuckled. "You think very highly of yourself."
"No, I just know you do." He could tell that I was obviously joking. I'm in no way overly confident and stuck up like that. #defensemechanisms.
"Yes, I do," he whispered. One of his hands moved from my back to the back of my neck and he closed his eyes peacefully. We laid there enjoying each other's company for a few more minutes before my phone buzzed. I turned my head slightly and saw it was my mom.
"Ugh, one sec," I groaned sitting up to grab my phone. He moved his arms and perched himself against the headboard.

mom
client didn't show up to the meeting. i'll be home in 40.

"My mom's meeting fell through, she'll be home in 40 minutes," I said disappointedly.
"I get to meet Guinever Hunter," he smiled jokingly. My Mom was a really popular model when she was younger. I mean, she's still really popular, but you know, 20 year old models tend to be more popular than 50 year old models.
"Do you wanna swim now?"
"Absolutely," he nodded.
"You can change in my bathroom," I told him and pointed to the white door perpendicular to the bed.
"Alright, perfect," he said. He sat up slowly, stretched his arms, and then picked up his drawstring bag and brought it into the bathroom. I stood up as well to grab my bathing suit and get changed. I picked a simple blue triangle bikini and put it on as quickly as I could. I didn't want to risk Noah leaving the bathroom before I was changed. I threw my clothes into the hamper, sat back down on the bed, and scrolled through my phone. I had purposely muted the big group chat in case Jayden or someone texted something embarrassing about Noah and he saw. I saw that I had 127 new texts. Oh jeez. I'll handle that later. "Are you dressed?" Noah asked from the bathroom.
"Yeah, you're good," I said. He clicked the door open and I saw he was wearing black and blue swim trunks (or were they white and gold? I'm not funny. I'm sorry). I then realized where my gaze was awkwardly directed and quickly looked back up to his eyes. By the look on his face, I could tell he was attempting not to do the same thing to me. "Alright," I interrupted the awkwardness. "Leggo."
