chapter 22

Kinda Giant Time Skip: Kenma's POV

"Haru? How was school?"

"It was fine.." My son said as he walked past me and to his room. I watched him go before sighing and sitting back down and resuming the movie I was watching. 

Haru's been acting strange ever since he started high school. And I won't lie, my first year was hard too. But my son barely speaks to me anymore, or his father. And I don't know why. 

Ever since Kuroo has come back into my life, I thought things have been better. Haru knows Kuroo is his father, both biologically and in concept. Haru has a boyfriend and is already on the varsity swim team at his school. And he also is simply a stellar student who has perfect grades.

"I'm home." Kuroo said as he walked in. I looked over with surprise, but got up to greet him.

"You're home early."

"It's 6. Not any earlier than normal." He said, making me turn my head to check the clock. 

"Oh. I didn't realize it had been so long."

"Worrying again?"

"How can I not.."

"I know kitten." He said and pulled me closer to him. I've been losing track of time pretty easily lately with how Haru's been acting. I had spent so long, and done awful, awful things to make sure my son was happy. So what was going wrong...

"Want me to talk to him?"

"If you want. He hasn't been any more receptive to you than to me." I grumbled. My alpha nodded and gave me a kiss before walking up the stairs to try and talk to our son. I hope that if anything, Haru tells him something.

Kuroo's POV

"Hey, can I come in?" I asked while standing outside my son's room. 

"I guess." He said with a sigh. I opened the door and saw him sitting on his bed. He looked at me before looking back at the wall. I sat by him on his bed with a small smile.

"So. How was school today?"

"It was fine."

"You sure?"

"Dad sent you up here to talk to me, didn't he?"

"No. I came up here to talk to you because I'm worried about you. You've been acting a bit, off."

"..."

"Wanna talk about it?"

"...Did you only ever date omegas or betas?"

"No."

"Really??"

"Yep. I dated an alpha. Once."

"When?"

"High school. My third year."

"What did people think about it?"

"Some thought it was weird."

"Oh.."

"Some people giving you problems for dating another alpha?"

"Maybe.."

"What kind of trouble?"

"Well.. I mean... some of the others saw Makoto and I... ehm."

"At school...??!"

"We thought we were alone... okay..?"

"Okay.. okay. So... what else happened..?"
