it was raining heavily on this dreary wednesday evening. it was a change from the sunny summer days plainview has been having for the past month. the rain had gotten pretty bad that they had to reschedule the opening of the annual funfair.
giselle checked the weather app and it did say the raining was just happening for a day. hopefully, their predictions were right or else a lot of people's summer plans were killed. quinn had been texting her all week about her cute date ideas for her and cora. they'd been dating officially for 2 weeks now and it seems like they'd never been better.

giselle was currently at the wilson's, a good friend of her father's from work. they had a daughter, audrey, who was 5 years old. by far, she was the calmest kid giselle had to watch over. all she wanted was chicken nuggets and doc mcstuffins playing on the tv. the simplest things to keep her quiet and calm for the night and giselle was grateful.
she sat on the carpeted floor, watching doc mcstuffins with audrey sitting comfortably on the couch. she couldn't deny that she was a little jealous she couldn't join rodrick and the rest of the gang at the roller rink tonight. it was another outing she was missing out on and she wanted nothing more than to be there. even the rain wouldn't have stopped her.
at least quinn was missing it too, but she was having more fun than giselle was.
she felt her phone ring and immediately checked to see who sent her a new notification

she knew it was her decision to work extra jobs for the summer, it was for the experience and she loved keeping herself busy. rodrick seemed understanding about the whole thing and it surprises her how keen he was on making time to see her.
she loved it and she made sure it was worth it every time they got together. it scared her a little though, the thought of rodrick one day deciding that he was tired of her ways and would no longer see her the same.
but she knew thinking that way wasn't going to do any good in their relationship. it was her first time ever being in one and she didn't want to ruin it.
