Getting Somewhere

Walking in the kitchen after taking a shower and putting on one of his button Down shirts I took out all the things to make me and Ant breakfast.
I turned my pandora on and my girl Lauryn Hill Ex factor came blaring through the speakers. God I love her music!

While vining to the lyrics and cooking I started to reflect over yesterday's events.

"Thanks for the complement but who said you could have any especially when I don't know even know you" i said with each word dripping attitude but still had a smile on my face.

"Fiesty as well brother your one luck bastard but Yes where are my manners my name is Gabriel his older brother nice to meet the lady that stole his heart and has him wrapped around her finger."

"Ha I wouldn't say all that but I'm Michelle nice to meet you as well" I stood up to shake his hand but ended up hugging me.

He whispered a Thank you to me before letting go I hid my confusion with a small smile.

We dug into our breakfast having little conversations about nothing well nothing that really interested me.

"So you guys tell me more about the line of work yal really do."

Ant's eyes got big and Gabe started choking on his orange.

"Tell me more about how your family became the biggest cartel in Spain" I rolled my eyes becoming impatient with their whispers in their native tongue.

I'm definitely taking spanish classes soon tired of this shit.

"Alright! Somebody better start talking and talking quick before I do something I'll regret Sí?" I said gripping the butter knife in one hand and the fork in the other. They shook there heads and took deep breaths.

"Well it all started with our great grandfather when he moved to the states..."

They went on to tell me how he started working for a rich white man and how the man was involved in illegal stuff importing drugs, weapons etc. their great grandfather gained the mans trust and became his right hand and got left everything once he died. He moved back to Spain but continued the illegal work but also started Huerta Inc. which became a success overnight. It was passed down through the generations but of course they gained enemies along the way like the infamous Santoz Lopez.

I sat there for I don't know how long just listening to them trying to take it all in. As crazy as this probably sound I was intrigued and not scared by any of the information they told me.

"Lopez has become a very ruthless killing some of our best men and almost taking our fathers life." Gabe said with sadness in his voice.

"He's going to attack again and soon because one of our men killed his only cousin and he could be coming for mom or even you" Ant looked in a daze as he finished talking I could tell it hurt him to even say it.

"Well you don't have to worry about me I'm strong and I can take care of myself."

"We know that's why we plan to train you to help us take him down once and for all so we can all live a peaceful life." Any grabbed my hand squeezing it.

"Huh wait I'm confused what are you trying to say?"

"Well baby, you will be the infamous and dangerous Lopez's killer."
