For the rest of the week, Ahsoka was overwhelmed with joy of her place on the team. She paused before sitting with Anakin as Mara waved Ahsoka over to their table. She sent an apologetic glance to her brother and joined her teammate at the lunch table. Riyo, Paige, and Rose all joined soon after.

"So, Ahsoka," Mara began as they ate casually. "We do this sort of ritual- actually 'ritual' makes us sounds like a cult, which we're definitely not- but every year we do this sleepover/get together to get to know the new teammates. Avar said she couldn't make it already, but can you?" Qi'ra and Kaydel came over and joined them as well.

"Um, I'll have to check with my mom. When is it?" Ahsoka asked. She was interested and she wanted to become a part of the group, but she didn't want to disappoint her family either.

"Friday at 6:00 pm," Mara said. "So can you make it? It's right after Friday's later volleyball practice."

"I think I can," Ahsoka replied with a smile. "My family doesn't know I'm part of the team so I can just say I'm spending the night at a friend's house. She's protective, but not too much so I think I can make it." Mara smiled as they ate.

"So you guys, how have you been keeping up with the drills over the summer?" Kaydel asked. The pale brunette had a soft smile and looked more athletic than Ahsoka had first realized. The others shrugged casually and muttered a few days a week. "And you Ahsoka? Never seen you in tryouts before."

"Um, I just play for fun. I've never tried out before or thought about competing on a until a few days ago," Ahsoka said nervously. Paige smiled encouragingly, tossing her black ponytail behind a shoulder.

"You play like you've played before," Rose said. "Paige thinks so too," she added, nodding to her older sister. "I look forward to the sleepover, Mara." Mara nodded and scribbled an address several times of a sheet of paper before ripping it and handing it to the other girls.

"My house address and my phone number in case you want to call," she explained, pulling a purple cell phone from her backpack and instantly creating an empty group chat. "You guys can join," Mara offered as the others took out their phones.
