Oh my fuck, is this what a hangover feels like?

My hand reaches up to grip my pain induced head.

Blinking my eyes to clear away to fogginess, I see myself on a white medical cot.

The last thing I remember... oh.

I must have passed out after teleporting the team back to base. Seeing as I'm in the mountain doc spot.

My thoughts are interrupted by the door banging open, and Red coming through the doorway.

"Blue?"

Upon seeing me awake, he rushes to my side and brings me into a tight hug.

"Good to see you too." I reply, chuckling a little.

"I didn- We didn't know if you were okay. You straight up collapsed and wouldn't wake up all day, or the nex-"

"Wait," I pull back to look him in the eye. "How long was I out?"

Red looks to be thinking before replying, "Well you wouldn't wake up that day, or the day after- which was yesterday. So about 48 hours considering it's around noon right now."

"...crap."

"Yeah," Red chuckled.

He brings his hands up to my face to cup it, before bringing his lips to mine.

The kiss was full of relief and worry, and maybe even lo-

No.

We're not even in a proper relationship. We've only gone on one date.

Trying to change the thoughts in my head, I pull back and ask, "How's the city doing?"

Our foreheads are still touching, and Red's thumb is brushing my cheek. My hands are gripping his waist.

"We went out yesterday after most of us had recovered, but we couldn't stay as long. They seem to just keep growing, it was worse than the first day. And being down a person didn't help either. All the civilians never leave their houses, but I'm not sure how much longer they can stay without more food or supplies."

Dam.

Seeing the worry on his face, I pull him closer and whisper, "We'll figure something out, don't worry."

"I hope so."

..

I'm sitting in the living room, brainstorming plans with the rest of the team when an iris message pops up in front of me. In front of everyone.

That's going to be fun to explain.

The team gasps and grips their weapons as the face behind the rainbow happens to be Alastor.

The iris message is positioned so the whole team is in view.

"Hello Persephone." He glances at the rest of the team and adds, "And mortals."

Seeing the confusion at the term they were addressed at, Alastor bursts into laughter.

"So you haven't even told your precious teammates what you are. All the things you've done. All the things you've killed?"

I grit my teeth, glancing at my teammates to see shock run through them at the mention of me 'killing'.

"Turning my team against me isn't going to work. Now what do you want?"

"Are you sure? Because they seem a little wary if you ask me. Besides, I don't think all the secrets you're keeping are doing well at keeping their trust."

Looking at them again, they do look a little worried. And it's true, I can tell they want to ask more questions about my past. And since it has to do with our current predicament, it probably isn't helping that I'm keeping it from them.

I'll deal with that later, though.

"What do you want?" I get out through my clenched jaw.

Alastor laughs a little, he enjoys getting on my nerves. I can tell.

"Just wanted to propose a little deal."

"What?" I question when he didn't continue.

I avoid looking at my friend's faces, not wanting to see what their expressions are.

"As you probably know, there's no way of defeating the gangs currently taking over the city. But... I'm willing to call them off if you turn yourself over to me. We never finished our little meeting on Sunday. You know how to contact me. I want an answer by next week."

And with that, he cuts his hand through the mist and the image disappears.

A beat of silence.

Then the questions start coming.

..

Not being able to answer them when they're all talking over each other, I shout out, "Everyone, shut the fuck up."

When everyone goes quiet, I say, "Thank you. And I'll be right back."

Before everyone can start attacking me with more questions, I vapor travel to the one place that can make this shitty situation situation a little less shitty.

My presence in the throne room makes all the gods immediately appear in their respective thrones.

I can see the surprise and shock on everyone's faces.

Well.. not everyone. Dionysus gives zero fucks, so does Ares.

My father flashes in front of me and gathers me into a hug. I must have subconsciously missed him because my body melts into his embrace.

"Percy! How are you?"

Pulling away and stepping back, "Hey Dad, I don't really have time for pleasantries. I need to ask you guys for something."

Posideon nods, and goes back to his throne, seeing as he's blocking all the other gods from seeing me.

"And that really required all of us to be here." Mr. D sighs, annoyed and slouching in his chair.

"State what you need, and we will consider it." Zeus booms out, his voice carrying through the room.

Geez, it's like he's speaking through a microphone all the time.

"I would like permission to inform my team of our world." I say.

They look to be discussing it in their minds, before Zuess replies.

"You understand the risk?"

"Yes. I know there's a chance this could get out but I trust them. And I'll only tell the people on my team. No one else, I swear."

"Alright then. You may-"

Before he can finish, I shout out, "Thanks! Adios DQ." and vapor travel back to the mountain.

I got what I needed, and I didn't want to waste any time that the team could be using to plan my gruesome murder.

The arguing quiets down as I appear back in the room.

"Where did you go?"

"What the hell was that?"

"What is happening?"

"Everyone, kindly shut the fuck up... again." I shout out. When they quiet down, I continue, "Do you guys want answers or not?"

When they nod, I proceed to tell them my life story.

Starting with the peanut butter and ketchup sandwich that was thrown into Grover's curly ass hair.
