*Red's POV*

"PERCY!" I yell as I see her fall to the ground, a pitchfork speared through her chest. There is blood everywhere. Pooling on the ground, on her clothes, in her hair.

The pain in my chest is overwhelming. She has to be alive. She has to. She wouldn't leave me like that. She promised.

I feel myself slipping away, unaware of my surroundings.

The only thing I can focus on is my Blue, laying on the ground, unconscious, a hole in her chest.

"Roy! Snap out of it. We still have a job to do." Robin shouts at me, fighting off a monster.

He's right. I narrow my eyes at the 'god' standing above Percy. He's not getting away with this.

We all fight off the monsters coming at us, paving a way to Alastor and Percy with the celestial bronze weapons Percy had given us.

Most of the monsters are gone by now, only a few strays between the group and Alastor that Connor is already finishing off.

"Well well well. Looks like it's just you mortals left. I have no need for you, so I'll give you a chance to leave now and I won't kill you." Alastor snickers, making my blood run hot with fury.

"It's not going to be that easy." I scowl. "You're going to pay for what you did."

Alastor takes a step towards us, standing between us and Percy's body. "It's your death wish, little boy."

He yanks his pitchfork out of Percys body and winds his arm up to throw it at me, Percy's blood still dripping off the end of it.

That man is sick.

But right as he goes to let go, the tip of a sword appears out of his chest. As if someone has struck him from behind.

But that's not possible, there is no one behind him except-

"Blue?" I whisper, staring wide-eyed at Percy's lithe frame standing behind Alastor as he falls to his knees, sputtering blood.

Percy gives me a wild grin, "Hey, Red. I told you- you can't get rid of me that easily."

As Alastor is incapacitated with riptide through his chest, Meghan comes forward with the gold chains and helps Percy bind them to Alastor. As Percy has told us that celestial bronze would hurt a god but couldn't kill them, which is why the chains are so important.

*Back to Percy's POV*

As Meghan and I finish binding Alastor, Red comes rushing up to me and scoops me up in his arms.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He steps back and checks my chest, only to find there isn't a single mark.

I may or may not have faked my death to get Alastor to weaken his defenses. It was the only way I was going to beat him.

"I'm okay, I swear. I turned my body particles to vapor when he stabbed me, so the pitchfork went through me."

"But- how? It looked so real." He whispers, slightly trembling.

"I had some fake skin and blood packets I strapped to my body. I'm sorry but I had to make it look real, which means your reactions had to be authentic too." I replied, running my fingers through his hair to calm him down.

He leaned his forehead against mine. "Just... never do that to me again. Don't scare me like that. I thought you were gone."

"I promise you it takes a lot more than that to kill me. You're stuck with me."

"You mean that?" He said, looking into my eyes. "Do you want to be with me? Officially?"

"Are you asking me to be your girlfriend? Right now?" I laugh, looking around at the run-down warehouse filled with gold dust, our bloody friends, and a bound god.

"Yes?" He answers sheepishly, scratching his neck.

"I mean it is kind of fitting for us." I admit. "But yes. Definitely yes."

He grins and wraps his arms around my waist, kissing me so deeply I forget who I am for a second. My hands grab his shoulders and neck, kissing him back with just as much fervor.

I hear whoops and claps and we finally break away. Artemis, Wally, Robin, Connor, and Meghan are all watching and smiling.

"Get in here guys." I laugh, and widen my arms for them to come in for a group hug.

After we finish our little celebration, I walk up to Alastor.

"Neat trick you did there." Alastor grumbles.

"Thanks. But you're not my problem anymore. Say hi to the gods for me." I say.

His eyes widen at my last sentence, but he doesn't get time to say anything before I vapor-travel him to Olympus.

We check the warehouse for Hayley's brother before we leave and found a room full of cells. In them are dozens of people. Probably gang members that tried to go against him once the mind control wore off. We unlock all the cages and check each one for someone resembling Hayley.

We find a young boy, probably our age, in the back of a cell. He puts on a brave face and asks, "Who are you?"

"Friends of your sister. She's worried about you." I reply.

His face breaks a little. "Hayley? Is she here."

"No, but she sent us to find you. Go home. Take care of yourself... and her, okay?"

"Yes ma'am." He nods and leaves.

..

Once everyone has filed out, and we check the remaining rooms in the warehouse, we head back to base.

"Thank fuck that's over." I say and fall back on the couch.

"Amen." The rest of them chorus.

I look around at the band of misfits that I now call my friends... and boyfriend. That's so weird to say. I look at Red, his mischievous eyes and annoyingly perfect face.

Yea, I think I'll stay for a while. This place is starting to feel like home.
