It's been two days and we've found nothing. There's no trace of Alastor anywhere. I wouldn't even know where to begin looking.
We were all hanging around the lounge, looking defeated and pitiful when a ring blasts through the air.
I take out my phone and see Hayley's caller ID on my screen. Red, looking over my shoulder, exclaims, "Why the hell is Hayley calling you? Actually, scratch that, how the fuck does she have your number?"
Well, somebody is pissed. I mean, I guess I did fuck her but still.
"We may have exchanged numbers after we finished." Robin looks at me incredulously. "What!? She was hot."
I pick up before it goes to voicemail and put it on speaker. I motion for everyone else to be quiet.
"Hey, is this Percy?"
"Yea, what's up?"
"I have some information you might want about Alastor. And before you say anything I know you are a part of the young justice team because I saw you on the streets fighting with them during the city quarantine. And I also really need your help."
Everyone looks shocked, including myself. I did not expect our breakthrough to come with Hayley, one of the first missions I had with the team. And I especially didn't expect her to know who I was. Red, however, looks slightly relieved that she was calling for something else.
I pause for a moment, "Explain."
"That day at the bar- do you remember that I was in great need of a distraction?"
"How could I forget?" I smirk.
"Haha, well, it was actually because the gang I was with recruited my brother. I was so pissed at him because he's still so young but he wouldn't listen to me and wanted to prove he's tough shit." Her voice cracks, tone shifting completely. "But the other day he didn't come home. I feel like something has happened to him but I can't go into Alastor's headquarters because he scares me and he isn't very happy with me at the moment anyway. Since I fell for your tracker trick, not that I was really complaining."
"Wait- Does that mean you know where Alastor is?" I look around at the others in hope.
"Yeah, that's why I called you. I'll give you his location, and in turn you have to promise me to look for my brother."
"Of course, I promise."
..
The team is getting ready to enter the warehouse where Alastor is. This guy has a type- old, abandoned warehouses. Like jeez switch it up, this is depressing.
We have all the supplies we need: our weapons, celestial bronze, and of course the imperial gold chains. As well as some other preparations I've made.
Red grabs my hands, "Don't die, Blue. I can't lose you now, or ever really."
"I won't, I promise. And besides, there's no way you're getting rid of me that easily." I tease. I kiss him on the cheek and go to enter the building but he pulls me back and kisses me properly.
"Okay, now you can go."
I smile at him and open the door.
Inside is relatively dark, only lit by candles and flame torches on the walls. As soon as we all enter, a loud cackle filled the air, and the doors are shut behind us with a slam.
"Persephone Jackson. Finally come to surrender?" Alastor booms.
"Not quite." I say and walk forward slowly, trying to see where he is.
That's when he emerges from the shadows, about 50 feet in front of us, along with an army of monsters surrounding him.
Well, fuck.
"In that case, I no longer need you alive. Attack." He calls.
The next moments happen so fast. The monsters rush towards us, and I have no time to worry about my friends because Alastor flashes in front of me. I lift riptide just in time to block his attack of his pitchfork.
We are battling it out, but I can tell I'm losing.
I feint another attack and swipe across his torso, leaving my own chest open. He sees the opening and thrusts his pitchfork straight through my chest.
"PERCY!" I hear someone yell
But I can't reply or begin to decipher it as I fall to the ground, my eyes fluttering close.
