Naruto, Sasuke and I entered Tenten's backyard because it seemed that's where the party was being held. "Look! It is Sakura and Naruto! As well as Sasuke!" Shouted Lee, pointing over at us.
Way to draw attention to us. Not to mention him treating Sasuke as if he's side character #242.
Naruto and I greeted Tenten with a happy birthday and a couple of gifts. Sasuke stood on the sidelines like some random delinquent that got let it. Talk about antisocial.
"Hey," I said walking over to him.
He glanced away from his phone for a second and looked at me. "What?" He replied.
"You should talk to people more," I leaned against the table, "shutting everybody out is just gonna leave you silent and lonely in the end-"
"What the hell would you know about it?" He glared.
I smiled. "My parents used to leave home a lot. From taking several business trips to only coming home once every few months, my mom hardly called in to check on me. Always claiming she was too 'busy'. I ate dinner alone every night, and always sat in bed lonely, wishing I had someone to talk to. Then, I met Naruto, who I thought was going through the same thing as me, except his was on a much more serious level. He didn't have any parents at all, so it kinda helped me realize the suffering I was going through was nothing compared to what other people were going through. Eventually, Naruto started coming over everyday and we'd watch movies together, eat a bunch of snacks, sleepovers and what not. Slowly, he eased the emptiness I was feeling. But, I still felt like there was a whole in my heart; I didn't know why. I constantly tried to be friends with every person I laid eyes on so I'd never be alone, but of course, I didn't know that not everybody is someone you can trust. In the end, most of them just used me for money and things like that. Naruto is one of the few people I actually put my whole-hearted trust in."
"..."
"I eventually met you, a couple years ago. Honestly, didn't know much about you, just that you were smart and cute, so I blinded myself with fake love. Love. That's what I thought I was missing. And it was what I was missing. But not fake love, real love. So, I thank you."
"Thank me?" He questioned.
"Yeah. You helped me realize something. So, I'm trying to return the favor I guess? I dunno. I'm rambling. Maybe I'm a little sober. Just told you my entire life story and shit. Sorry. But, open up a little. Find out who you can trust and who you can't. Take the risk or lose the chance."
I walked back over to the bar for another drink, already feeling a little tipsy. Wow. I really did just tell him my entire life story. Way to go Sakura. Why not tell him all your favorite foods and places while you're at it.
Honestly though, I'm surprised he even listened to me that long. I expected a "shut up" throughout the middle of the story or something. Or at the very least for him to walk away. Hey, maybe I'm mastering Talk-No-Jutsu.
"Alright everybody!" Shouted Kiba doing a handstand on Akamaru, "Time to spice things up! What'dya say 'bout a little game of truth or dare!?"
"Yeah!" Tenten yelled, "Let's do this! Everybody circle up!"
Everybody began to group around in a circle in her backyard. I looked over at Sasuke, who sat at the bar browsing his phone. He picked his head up and glanced in my direction. Our eyes met.
We stared at each other for a while. My emerald fern olive mint pickle pear lime green eyes stared deep into his onyx pitch ink midnight obsidian raven crow leather black eyes.
Sooooo, is he gonna look awayyyyy??? I mean shiii- I don't mind but sir....
...
After a little while, they finally went on with the game. "I'll start," Tenten chuckled, "Neji! Truth or dare?"
"...Truth," He sighed.
"Urghhhhh! So lame!" She pouted, "is it true that you're aromatic? I mean there's noooo way you rejected that many girls without being gay or something."
"No. I don't think so."
"Think!?" Everyone shouted.
"I've never-"
"Enough!" Lee stood up, "it is okay, Neji! You do not have to tell us if you do not wish to! The fall, will go on Sasuke!" He pointed over to him.
Everyone in the room looked his direction. "...I'm not playing," he said, putting down his drink.
"As long as your here, you're by far playing," Kiba laughed. "Now, answer. I'd especially love to know; how does a rejection master like you get so many girls!?"
"...No. I don't think so," he responded.
That again, huh. I swear the two of them give off the exact same vibe. Neji just has more hair and friends. "Alright, you gotta pick somebody!" Tenten pointed at him.
"No. Tell somebody else," Sasuke took another sip from his drink.
What the hell is he drinking anyway. It looks like it's bussin bussin 😩💃🏿.
When I put my mind to it, where the hell is Naruto? I'm surprised he hasn't hit Sasuke with his Talk-No-Jutsu yet for being antisocial.
I got up and scoped the area for him. I found him knocked-out drunk in a corner. That's supposed to be my role at parties. Talk about Uno reverse card.
I grabbed Naruto's arm and wrapped it around me to pick him up, only to fall. Heavy bastard. Too bad this isn't the ninja world. I could pick him up no problem.
I sat down next to him and stared at the ceiling for a couple of seconds. I mean, I could just call a tow-truck. Nahhhhhh. I'll call Sasuke I guess, if Naruto's Talk-No-Jutsu is as strong as the fandom thinks then he should be willing to help us out.
