09. Matchmaker (OhmFluke)

Ohm was sitting in a nice cozy coffee shop enjoying the view. The place was really comfortable and the staff got to know him since he has been a regular customer for a few weeks now. 6 weeks, if anyone wants to know for sure.

The traffic wasn't that chaotic that afternoon, which meant that the person whom he was waiting for was about to arrive. So he got up from his seat and went to the counter to order a cappuccino and a slice of durian cake. He knew they were that person's favorites. Soon after, Ohm went back to his table and waited a little more.

"P'Ooohm~! I'm so sorry for my delay! I had set an alarm to avoid forgetting our meeting, but then a lot happened and I almost didn't make it! Did you wait for too long?", the newcomer entered the place panting hard and with an awkward smile on his face, which didn't match him at all.

"It's okay, N'Fluke! The important thing is that you are here now and no, I didn't wait for too long at all! I've already ordered for you, is that okay?", Ohm replied with a sweet smile showing his dimple, which made Fluke relax a bit and replace the smile for a genuine one. This matched him perfectly.

"Great! So, let's start!", Fluke said almost gidding in his seat.

"Do you have a new plan, Nong?", Ohm asked politely after sipping his coffee.

"Oi, Phi! Did you see their attitude on the last date? I'm so sure they started to like each other a bit! I think--", they were interrupted by the waiter. "Thank you, Nong!", Fluke thanked the man and proceeded on with his explanation. "I think that we're gonna need only a few more dates and they'll become official!", he clapped his hands happily.

"Yeah, they seem… connected, I think we're gonna succeed at this!", Ohm agreed with the smaller male, making him even more happier with that statement.

Ohm and Fluke were introduced to each other about 6 weeks ago when their friends Kao and Earth invited them to watch a movie. The group got along so well that they went for a meal after the movie and started to go out frequently. The thing is: Fluke thought Kao and Earth would make a great couple. He knew Earth since high school and Kao was exactly his best friend's ideal type, so he was trying to convince Ohm to help him in his cupid mission, since the latter was friends with Kao since college days too.

Ohm thought the idea was so naive and cute that he decided to help the smaller male. At least, this gave him the opportunity to meet Fluke at least once a week alone in that nice coffee shop to set a new plan and then once again, when they met as a group along with Kao and Earth. Ohm loved to hear Fluke talking about his plans and he seemed to like Earth as a brother, which was lovely to see, because Kao told him that the both of them were orphans and grew up at the same orphanage.

However, after each time Ohm met Fluke, he felt both wonderfully happy and extremely guilty.

"So, it's a plan!", Fluke concluded after explaining to him their next mission.

"Great, Nong Fluke! You're amazing!", Ohm smiled intently looking at the big doe eyes before him, making the youngest blush hard at the remark.

"O-okay, then! I have an appointment now and need to go early. I'm sorry for leaving you, Phi!", Fluke explained as he got up from the seat.

"Not a problem! See you next Sunday with Kao and Earth!", Ohm said back.

After the two matchmakers bid goodbye, Ohm went home to a scene he wished never ever to see again in this lifetime. Or the next one. Or in any other.

"Oh my god! Can't you two get a room, please?!", Ohm said covering his eyes with his hands.

"Ohm, don't you know you should knock on the door before entering a room?", Kao said wrapping a sheet around his waist.

"This is also my house and you're in the living room! Oh my god, I'll never sit on this couch again in my life!", Ohm said with disgust in his voice.

"Well, too bad for you, Ohm! You knew we were here! By the way, why did you come back so early?", Earth said wrapping a sheet under his armpits and hugging Kao from behind.

"Fluke had an appointment and needed to leave early, so I came back home…", he sighed.

"You know you could easily fix this, right? All you have to do is tell Fluke that Earth and I date for ages now and then you confess that you used all these fake meetings of yours to get to know him better because you have a crush on him!", Kao said exasperated, running a hand through his hair.

"But he gets so excited trying to match you two! He's adorable and I could never destroy his illusions, P'Kao!", Ohm said with a pout.

"Oh my god, you two deserve each other! Two crazy lunatics that can't see an inch before their eyes! I'm gonna tell him tonight when I get home that he misunderstood everything from the beginning!", Earth mirrored his boyfriend's annoyance.

"Don't you dare, P'Earth! I need only a few more meetings to put up some courage and then ask him out! Please bear with me!", Ohm said with a wink and then headed to his bedroom humming happily.

Kao and Earth started to date around 7 weeks ago and decided to go on cupid mode with their best friends Ohm and Fluke. In an unpredictable plot twist, Fluke started to think that he and Ohm needed to get Kao and Earth together without realizing they were already a couple and that Ohm was head over heels for him.
