Austin Vinson’s POV

I woke up ready for school trying to forget about last night but epically failing. I was scared.. I never felt this way for anyone and heck she didn’t even seem like she cares whether I’m her boyfriend or not. Sighing heavily I got in the car and drove off to school. 

As soon as I arrived the girls immediately crowded around me and followed to the lockers. I didn’t bother telling them to piss off. I took out my phone deciding whether to text her or not. Since I wanted to see her so bad I texted her and surprisingly she immediately replied and said to meet at Star Bucks. I grabbed my stuff and head off to my car. 

When I got there I looked around to see if she was there but couldn’t spot her anywhere so I sat on my car and waited. 

Kyra Auburn’s POV

As I followed him into Star Bucks he asked what drinks do I want and well… I was kinda nervous and I didn’t want any so I said,

“Nah, I don’t want any,” and all he said was 

“Alright then”

We both sat there silently which was really awkward and I kind of feel bad about yesterday. He sat there looking at the table as if it’s the most interesting thing.

“Err... Austin?” I said quietly

“Yeah?”

“About yesterday… I’m sorry” I don’t know why but I apologized.

“Why?” the way he was talking was pissing me off. URGH I hate it when people talks bluntly and give short answers. He was the one who wanted to freaken talk! 

“…You know why,” Man… I don’t even know what I’m saying…

He sighed and rubs his face looking really tired.

“Why… don’t I ever see you in school? Why is it whenever we talk on the phone, you randomly hang up? Why do you rather spend time with that guy than me?” He laughed humourlessly.

“Do you... Even want to be my girlfriend?” he looked at me straight in the eye. I didn’t expected that question coming from him. It’s like I doubt him and the fact that he’s a player is stuck to me as well as he’s a bully. But what I did was cruel. Avoiding him so I don’t fall hard.. I seriously don’t know what the hell am I thinking. 

“I’m sorry… I didn’t meant to avoiding you and all. I –“ 

“HEYYY” I turned around to see who the hell interrupted me. Surprisingly it was Derik. Why the hell is he always interrupting me!? Then I realised Austin was suddenly by my side holding my hand. Derik looked down at our intertwining hands and laughed. 

“HAHA I KNEW YOU GUYS WOULD DATE!” Everyone started to look our way thanks to Derik. I felt my cheeks blushed and Austin got up and did one of those guy handshake things with him.

“Yeah, we’re dating so mind keeping your hands off my girl,” Austin said in a serious but friendly way. 

“Don’t worry mate, I know how it feels but like I said if you hurt her, you’re dead.” They both stared at each other and I tried to break the silence. 

“Um…  What are you doing here Derik?” I asked.

“Just chilling out with some friends” he answered.

“Well, Kyra and I gotta go now” Austin muttered.

“Oh alright, bye then.” Derik replied smiling. We all said bye and left. As we walked down the path hand in hand I stopped and pulled him towards me making him up right against me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and tip toed drawing us closer and kissed him. He stood there shocked and I was shocked too. Why did I do that? I was confused and was about to push him back but he stopped me and hugged my waist tightly deepening the kiss. I didn’t realised how good it felt I pulled him closer even though we were already impossibly close but then a car drove past and beeped us. The man yelled out from his car “GET A ROOM!”  We jumped apart and I blush deep crimson. I looked up at him to see him slightly blushing but it’s probably from the lack of oxygen.

“You can’t keep your hands off me, can you?” he smirked, the arrogant butt face is back. 

“I… NO! I DON’T KNOW WHAT GOT IN TO ME!” I blurted out which made him laugh. He reached out towards me and hugged me tightly.

“Don’t worry babe, I can’t keep my hands off you either,” he whispered in my ear, snuggling against my neck. 

Derik’s POV

A couple of my friends and I decided to wag school and go have a drink. We stepped into Starbucks and I spotted Kyra and Austin, looks like they’re having a serious conversation. I smirked and walked towards them. 

“HEYY” I greeted them. Immediately Austin got up and sat next to Kyra holding onto her hand. I looked at them amused

“HAHA I KNEW YOU GUYS WOULD DATE!” I could tell that Austin was possessive. I just know them too well.

“Yeah, we’re dating so mind keeping your hands off my girl,” He said threateningly even though we were best friends anyone who hurts his loved ones they’re screwed.

“Don’t worry mate, I know how it feels but like I said if you hurt her, you’re dead.” The same for him. He better not hurt her. We stared at each other and from the corner of my eye I can see the Kyra was getting uncomfortable.

“Um…  What are you doing here Derik?” She asked trying to change topic. 

“Just chilling out with some friends” I responded smiling at her.

“Well, Kyra and I gotta go now” Austin muttered. After they left I ordered a hot chocolate and smiled to myself. She gonna change him. I’m sure of that.

Austin Vinson’s POV

I stood there completely thrown off guard. She’s kissing me. I snapped out of it and felt her trying to pull away. I grabbed her waist and firmly hold her against me until some old man yelled out some crap and we went apart. Well, that was our first kiss. I’m pretty sure I’m smiling like a fool.
