Lonely Girl And Skater Boy [[Chapter 9]]

Her:

All night I could bring myself to get some much needed sleep. I didn't want to go shut my eyes because I was afraid who would be in my room. What would come out and get me at night? I knew who, but my mom kept saying it was the fever. I know what I saw.

The morning I was too tired to get up, but I took a shower and got dressed. My mom disapproved, but I had to. Josie was leaving. Her flight would take off at noon.

I walked to their house at eight to spend sometime with her.

There house was aqua color. I had been to their house before. It was nicely decorated. Josie use to share a room with Kaylee. But now Josie's side was plain and empty. Only a bed and a dresser. No posters of her favorite bands were hung up. No pictures of us. It may seem as if I only meet her two weeks ago or so I can't remember, and it most likely true, but we grew close. And she was one of my only four friends.

"I'm gonna miss you guys," she whispered.

"Us too," we replied.

As we went to the airport it was sad. The day was gloomy knowing someone was leaving us. But she will meet friends in Maine. We'll keep in touch. But we'll hardly see her though.

Josie said good bye to the DeMac's. To Kaylee, to Karli, and to Keara. I was at the last of the line.

She gave me a hug, and I hugged her back. Her eyes were watery, and her face was gloomy like the weather.

"Imma miss ya," she cried.

"I'm gonna miss ya too," I said.

She pulled away and put her lips to my ear, "I always thought you and skater boy made a perfect couple. You wait and see."

I smirked, "Yeah when pigs fly, and hell freezes."

"Anything is possible," and with that she said her last good-byes and bored the plane. They closed the gates. The place was speeding up, and right as the line ended it ascended into the air like a bird.

Josie Rahall was now on her way to start a new life in a new place with her long lost brother. She was gone from the DeMac's and me.

"She was really my best friend," sobbed Kaylee who was closer to her.

"She was close to all of us," Keara mumbled.

"Let's go," Mrs. DeMac said. I liked Mrs. DeMac and her husband. They were cheerful people. They were kind and sweet. Mrs. DeMac had soft brown hair and green eyes. Like one off Kaylee's eyes. Mr. DeMac had blonde hair, but none of his girls had his hair. He was tall and slender. He looked more like Keara, but had ocean blue eyes like the other eye of Kaylee. But I wonder were Keara got her brown eyes. Karli had the mix of both green and blue eyes.

It was quiet ride back home. My thoughts wonder like every time there's no noise. I thought of what Josie said about Eli. She was kidding me, right? I don't know it was one of those things that might be a joke/truth. I mentally laughed me and Eli, Psh!

Speaking of Eli, I gotta go thanked him for staying with me the other night.

I realized it was Valentine yesterday, what an idiot. Some thing really did happen to me on Friday the 13th. Ha, I never thought of that.
