She stumbled and fell, agony whisking in her head. She hears thunderous claps in her own self, trying to resist the pain. Tears gushed in her eyes, wanting to release and wet her cheeks. It's almost like a wound, infected by those pesky organisms day by day. And yet she kept it as a secret from everyone around her, hoard it into her own cave of feelings.

If this was her end, she'd give her life away already.

It felt like forever.

He had been constantly looking towards his wrist watch, waiting for his girl in the cafe. It was their promise to meet for another cup of coffee, a chance to rebuild their almost falling wall.

But for the umpteenth time he looked out for her, the heart shatters to pieces. There it was, his awaited lady laughing and smiling, sincerity and pure love shining from her very eyes, linking eyes with a tall brunette lad. From that moment he knew the chance had completely faded. He takes out his smartphone before waltzing his fingers on the virtual keyboard. Tapping the option ' Send', he covers his head with his hoodie before stepping out of the coffee shop.

' Be happy and don't waste any second thinking of me. I don't think we could work it out anymore. Invite me during your wedding reception, Sohyun! ;)'

It was a Sunday morning and her head was still full of pain from last night's alcohol. Winter sunshine rained over her eyedrops, enhancing the already bright colored room. Li Yin lazily gets up to a 90 degree position before loosing up a heavy sigh. She scratches her not-itchy scalp and yawns, later steps down the staircase for breakfast.

Dup.

Ow! Yin curses on her own as she brushes the pain on her knee away before picking up the fallen teddy bear.

Brownie.

She slowly falls down on her knees, flashbacks replaying in her mind. She remembered that moment when she was used to being so happy. The teddy bear was brought close to her nose.

I could still smell him.

And tears rolled down her cheeks, every stream of it carries away the pain she is currently suffering.

Why does this morning have to start off terribly?

Flipping and unlocking his iPhone, Kris became anxious just by scrolling through his contact names. Should he call or should he not call?

Maybe he should.

Tapping the keypads-

Maybe he shouldn't.

Deleting the number-

Probably he should.

Ugh.

Kris just leaves his phone locked again before grabbing the nearest sweater, going outside to enjoy the white thick snow.

" Just imagine. If we were to get married with all this snow,"

" Is that your dream?"

" Only with you,"

She cries as she remembered every line said and kept in her own box of memories. Looking up to the sky, tears stream down, wetting her cold face as snowflakes landed on her nose. Is this what she was really hunting for? Freedom? Does she really hate too much control all around her waist?

She starts to regret the moment they chose different roads.

I should have stayed.

The first snow.

Kris smiles as he realizes snowflakes falling, hitting his beanie and glove. It was a good decision he made, enjoying the first fall of snow during a winter peak. Frozen trees and icicles, he wishes again for a wonderful season.

Will his wish come true?

Like his prayers had been answered, rays of sunshine rains over a beautiful figure not far from him. He follows the trail of light, soon landing eyes on the shined gal.

Yin.

Tears never stopped streaming down despite the chill that afternoon. Probably it was because of the afternoon snow, coldness didn't really hit her in her mind.

" Yin,"

That voice.

Yin almost choked on her own tears when turning around.

" Y..yifan.."

Words can't describe his feelings as their eyes meet. Glad, grateful, happy, gloom, all mixed up. It breaks his heart seeing Yin with a long face and puffy eyes.

She doesn't look like how she used to be. What happened?

No. No. I can't.

Yin looks away from Kris with a stab in her heart. She felt dreadful acting that way, but she could not afford herself getting hurt anymore, can she?

Liquid pools in his eyes as Yin turned her back on him. His eyes slowly traced to her bare palm, smiling in tears.

Stupid. No gloves.

" Yin,"

" Go," she said. It feels like fire burning on his feet, but he's determined now. Kris lost her once on his stupidity, he should not let it slide anymore. Everybody deserves a fairytale. That's what he believes. Up to this day.

" Yin,"

" Yifan please. I.. I can't afford it,"

And Kris quietly tiptoed, wanting to be right in front of her.

" Yin,"

" I don't want to, Yifan! I don't want to repeat the painful past! I don't want to lose yet another soul in me-"

Without her realizing, a kiss landed on her lips.

Lips against lips.

Should she take it? Should she not?

And her eyes quickly immersed along, replying the kiss.

" I'm sorry Yin,"

" I'm sorry that I left you alone. Like a fool. When I thought I could live without you. Without even realizing. You were struggling with our baby,"

Please. Don't look into my eyes. Yin pleads from her heart.

Kris slowly levels his face along hers.

" I'll love you. Like never before. I'll never let other guys approach you. I'll cut their tongues if they ever say sweet words to you,"

" I'll take full responsibility. I want it. A child. From you. From me. A family. Where I can grow old together with you. Where I can wake up to your face every morning-"

And another kiss interrupted.

" You talk too much," Yin said, choking a bit on her tears. With a smile.

" Yin," Kris grasps on her shoulder.

" Yifan,"

" Remember when we promised to get married? In snow?"

And Kris kneels down, taking out a small velvety red box from his inner pocket. Good thing I feel like bringing this along.

Yin covers her face and wipes away her tears, surprised with the manner by the latter.

" I'm sorry for being mute on my feelings. Being mute on my affections. Li Yin, will you bear with this shy and coldness of Wu Yifan for the rest of your life?" Kris pleads, suddenly earning attention.

And her answer made Kris leapt in joy.
