I was taken back to the lobby as the interview finished. They said they would look over the whole thing and make a decision.

But the woman cop, officer Martinez, had looked like there already was a decision. Like if their answer was obvious.

I laid down on the couch as grinny cuddled next to me.

'So by what I have observed, you're currently parentless..? Right?' Zalgo said in my head

I gently closed my eyes and scratched grinnys head.

'Yeah...my father was an asshole and my step mother was the sweetest woman ever....she always cared about me while my father got black out drunk and never worked.'

I felt someone watching me as grinny's paw booped my nose. I opened my eyes and saw him just laying in front of my face.

I smiled softly at him an kissed his head.

"I'm not sure if you've eaten just yet?" I said unsure

It was practically the next day since I had slept the whole day yesterday an woke up at night. I looked around for the time an saw it was 12, noon.

Morning is barely over and I sighed a bit.

"Y/N." The officer called

I looked at him an sat up as he was by the couch.

"You're mother will have custody over you, but with your permission we can have pre-signed warrants incase anything happens or you call the station." The officer said

"Along with the warrants, Officer martinez will be visiting randomly to check on the house and see if things are in order." He said," none of this is being told to your mother in case she tries to use it to hide any abuse or substance abuse- anything."

I nodded as I took that in an smiled a bit.

"We already have it approved by CPS too, and you're free to call them too if the station line is busy or on hold." He said as we got to a door

He put his hand on my shoulder an gave me an smile.

"Take care of yourself, kid!" He said," you're smart and pretty observant, use that!"

I nodded an felt like smirking but didn't.

'Well- I mean I do train with killers and have met gods so- yeah, I'll be fine!'

He opened the door and there was the chief and Officer Martinez as well as my mother. Officer Martinez didn't look so happy as she stared down my mom with her arms crossed.

"You ever watch a man kill a woman?" Officer Martinez asked my mom menacingly

Mom looked a little worried as she took a step away.

"You ever feel like killing a-"

"Ah Mrs L/N!!" The chief said relieved," meet your mother, and please! Leave before Officer Martinez scars her!"

"Hmm, I suddenly have a feeling that's telling me to stay? Hmm? Strange'" I said with a smile

"Don't encourage her." The officer behind me said

I chuckled a bit an then the chief walked us out.

"Oh you have a cat!" Mom smiled," I love cats!"

She went to pet grinny but grinny hissed at her. She pulled her hand back as grinny hopped up on my shoulder and got around my neck like a scarf.

"I just wish they liked me." She chuckled
