Morgan's pov "There's five of us, Eyeball. You just make your move."Teddy said to Ace Merrill and his gang,I hid behind him."Oh, we will. Don't you worry."Ace said,"I wish Greg was here!"I thought nervously. Just then:Billy,Charlie and the other Cobras arrive behind Ace and Eyeball.i gulped,"Vern! You little sonofawhore! You was under the porch!"Billy said to Vern."No, no, I swear, it wasn't me!"Vern said nervously,"You little keyhole-peepin' bung-wipe, I oughta beat the livin' shit outta you!"Billy takes off his belt to go after Vern, but Ace stops him as Vern runs off."Vern!"I called out,"Now, you guys have two choices. You either leave quietly and we take the body, or you stay, and we beat the shit out of you-and we take the body."Ace said."Besides, me 'n' Billy found him first."Charlie said,"Y-Yeah, Vern told us how you found him."i said.

He grabbed me hand and led me to where Vern ran off too,as we found Vern we heard a kablam sound."that sounded like Chris' gun!"i said,"what should we do?"Vern asked."I say let's go back,hiding makes us look like pussies."I said,"Morgan's right:lets go back."Teddy said.Vern nodded in agreement,we came out of hiding and saw that Ace's gang was gone."Are we gonna take him?"Vern asked,"no."Gordie replied."But, we came all this way. Ray Brower's body was found. But neither our gang, nor their gang got the credit. In the end we decided that an anonymous phone call was the best thing to do.We headed home-and although many thoughts raced through our minds, we barely spoke. We walked through the night and made it back to Castle Rock a little past five o'clock on Sunday morning, the day before Labor Day.
