Chapter 35

"Open the door!" I yelled knocking aggressively on Chaeyoung's room door. "I've apologized and I will keep apologizing Cheang. You know that you're my ride or die! My peanut butter to my jelly! The Mac to my cheese!" I was now sounding desperate but I didn't care. She was my best friend and I needed her help. "My strawberry to my lemonade!" It was silent for awhile till the door open and Chaeyoung's head popped out.

"May I help you?" She looked unamused as she stared at me.

"Chaeyoung you know that I didn't mean not to tell you. I just wanted this for myself. But I swear you were going to be the first one!" I whined knowing Chaeyoung was doing this on purpose. She just wanted to see me beg. "Do you want me to go on my hands and knees? I will!" I crouched down slowly hoping she'd stop me, but didn't.

"Don't do that." She sighed in a sarcastic tone. She rolled her eyes and helped me up. "Thats a little to much." I cracked a small smile before I hugged her. "You tell me everything next time. Ok?" I nodded against her and pulled away to look at her.

"I promise. Now the first thing I will tell you is, I don't know what Jihyo and I are. Its nothing official yet. But I did ask her to go on a date with me." Chaeyoung face lit up as she pulled me into the room.

"What did she say?" The excitement in Chaeyoung's voice made me miss her so much. "This is like your first ever date!!"

"I know." I mumbled nervously. "She said yes. I kind of need your help setting some stuff up though. "

"Count on me! What do you want me to do?"

After discussing a plan with Chaeyoung and her giving me some advice, we ran to my house to start getting the date ready. Each second that passed, I was getting more and more nervous. Even Chaeyoung noticed.

"YOU'RE SHAKING!" She exclaimed placing a box she was holding down on on the table. "You're going to be fine. The date will go ok." She reassured me.

"I'm nervous." I sighed. Chaeyoung rolled her eyes playfully and grabbed my hand and dragging me outside.

"You need to breathe. Everything will be ok. Besides, the date you have planned for Jihyo makes me envious. I never thought about doing this with Mina." I sat down on the ground and looked out to the backyard. Chaeyoung was still setting things up. "Relax, Y/n. Breathe in for 4 seconds and exhale for 5. That should definitely do it."

"Is it normal to feel like you're about to vomit? Holy shit! What if I vomit on her!?" My anxiety rose up as my head began to race with different scenarios. Chaeyoung stared at me for awhile letting me list different things, till finally she snapped.

"STOP!" She screamed slapping me in the back of my head. I instantly stood up and stood quite. "Now. You girls already seem like you're dating. Just pretend that this is like the 20th date or something. Stop freaking out. Now let me finish so I can leave and go see my girlfriend." Chaeyoung smiled at the thought of leaving to see Mina. I found it cute.

After an hour, Chaeyoung was finally done and left in hurry to see Mina. I texted Jihyo I was done and I was waiting for her in my backyard.

"Y/n?" I heard Jihyo call out for me. I walked over to the gate and told her to close her eyes and I would help guide her to the spot. She listened and giggled as I helped her through my backyard. "Where are we going?" She laughed.

"Further into the backyard. I hope you like it." I sighed. I looked around one last time to make sure everything was in place and lifted my hand away from Jihyo's eyes.

Jihyo adjusted her eyes before looking at her sounding. She smiled softly and turn towards me taking my hand. She didn't say anything. I didn't know if she hated it or liked it. My nerves were picking up again.

We have a shed in the backyard where Yoongi had bought a projector screen, and nailed it to the side when we were younger. A present from mom. My mom thought it was a great idea to watch movies here whenever she had the day off. But it had been awhile since we've used it. Chaeyoung had laid a blanket on the grass, and a basket on the side. I couldn't tell you what was in there. Chaeyoung was in charge of putting this together and she did an amazing job. The tree by the shed had fairy lights so it wasn't as dark outside. It was beautiful.

"What do you think?" She turned slowly and pulled me over to her.

"You know, I never had anyone do this for me. Not even on the first date. You literally went all out." I felt my cheeks heat up as I felt her arm snake around my waist. She cupped my right cheek and kissed softly on my lips.

"Why wouldn't anyone do this for you?" I mumbled against her lips. I can feel her tighten her grip around me. "You deserve this and more." I pulled away from her looking down at my shoes. The nerves still lingering around. "This is my first date. I wanted it to be special and memorable for both you and I." I looked up at her to see she was staring at with tears welling up. I didn't even know if this was good or bad.

"I love this so much. Thank you." I nodded at her cupping both her cheeks and wiping away her tears with the pad of my thumbs. "I wish I knew you sooner. You know to actually know what its like for someone to actually like you for you." This broke my heart. Her voice was quivering and I knew she tried her best to hide it, but she wasn't doing a good job. "I've always been second to Rosè. Not that I mind or anything since we are kind of close. She's beautiful and everyone wants to date her. I've tried to be like her and found that people began to like me. So i went along with it. I lost myself. Then moving here I wanted a start fresh. I wanted to be myself. Besides Daniel, you're the only one who likes me for me." My palms were wet from her tears that continued to fall.

"I think..." I sighed trying to come up with what to say next. "I think Rosè is cool. Yeah she's beautiful, but you Jihyo are perfect. To me, you're the most beautiful person in this galaxy and all the others out there. You shouldn't let people get into your head like that. Just by being yourself, you gained pretty cool friends if I say so myself. You also gained a person who just wants to see you happy because it makes her happy." I chuckled before pecking her lips. "I'm talking about me being that person by the way." Jihyo laughed and wiped her face with her shirt sleeve.

"I figured." She rolled her eyes playfully removing her arms away from my waist. "You don't understand how much I appreciate this." I nodded at her. "And you." I felt my cheeks heat up again.

"Come on. Let's go pick out a movie before I want to just stay here and listen to you." She chuckled before hugging me and taking my hand. I led her to sit on the blancket while I searched for a movie. "Anything in mind?"

"What about Thor Ragnarok? I can't get enough of that movie!" I nodded. "Can I open the basket?"

"You don't have to ask, Hyo. Take whatever you want. This is all for you." She squealed and crawled over to me to kiss me. "Stop being cute." She went over to open the basket and pulled out strawberries, cut up cheese squares, two glass cups, and a non alcoholic wine bottle of sparkling grape juice. Chaeyoung out did herself. I owe her my life.

"Wow. Really Fancy." She giggled. I played the movie and crawled over to sit beside her. I took a strawberry and fed it to her before kissing her cheek softly.
