Chapter 12

"I saw Suho." Tiffany spoke up as we ate breakfast. Today was only Tiff, Siyeon, Yoongi, and I. Chaeyoung was also here. Mom got called into work early for an emergency. So she had breakfast on the way to work.

"What did he tell you?" My sister's were busy talking. I wasn't really in the mood to pay attention.

Yesterday before leaving the ice cream place, Daniel went to our table and dropped off a piece of paper and slid it over to Jihyo. I found out later dropping Jihyo off, it was his number. I of course pretended to be a supportive friend, but it hurts.

"You ok?" Chaeyoung asked elbowing me in the ribs. I winced slightly and glared at her.

"Ow!" I whispered. "What was that for?" Chaeyoung rolled her eyes and scooted her chair closer to mine.

"You seem out of it. Something bothering you?" As much as I wanted to tell Chaeyoung about Jihyo and that dumb Daniel kid, I decided not to. I didn't even want to talk about it.

"No. I was just thinking." She nodded. I guess she figured I didn't want to talk about it.

"Y/n?" I looked up and locked eyes with my older sister. "I saw Suho last night." She stated again.

"He told you he saw me?" I asked knowing thats what she was trying to say.

"Why didn't you tell me you saw him?" I raised a brow. She hasn't spoken to him in like a year or more, I thought she wouldn't care.

"It didn't cross my mind. I thought honestly you wouldn't care." I admitted with a shrug. "If you want to know if he asked me about you, he did. Just wanted to know how you were doing. That's it. Didn't ask anything else." She nodded twirling her fork around. It was then quite at the table.

After breakfast, Chaeyoung and I went over to the pool and decided to get in it for awhile. We invited the girls as well, but we didn't want to wait. I just wanted to ask Chaeyoung how her day yesterday with Mina was.

"I was super nervous the majority of the time." She laughed rubbing the back of her neck. "But I'm finally glad I did it." I smiled at my best friend. "And you? What did you do yesterday?"

I told her everything that happened yesterday minus the whole Daniel kid thing. I wanted to pretend that didn't happened. But it's most likely Jihyo will tell them when she gets here.

"I MISS SANA AND MOMO!" Nayeon shouted as she jumped in the pool. I was sitting on the edge with my feet dangling and talking to Chaeyoung who was in the water.

"Same! They'll come back in a few days!" Jeongyeon smiled happily. "Momo said she's bringing back snacks."

"Come in with me, Mina!" Tzuyu asked as she held out her hand towards her. Mina took it and they jumped in. Chaeyoung smiled then looked up at me.

"You getting in? Or are you waiting for Jihyo?" She teased. I shook my head with a little laugh.

"No. I'll get in in a bit. I want to go check on my sister one more time before I do." I said truthfully.

"I can't believe she saw him. I can't believe you saw him and didn't tell me anything!" Chaeyoung glared jumping up the edge of the pool to sit by me. "Do you think he still loves her?" I shrugged.

"I'm pretty sure he does. He asked precisely how she was doing. So I'm guessing yeah." Before Chaeyoung could say anything, Jihyo raced in the back gates and ran directly towards me. She wrapped her arms around my shoulder and rested her chin on my shoulder bone.

"Hello!" She greeted us both.

"Hi Jihyo!" Chaeyoung laughed and jumped back in the pool.

"Hello Y/n!" I moved my faced a little so I can look at her and smiled.

"Hey Jihyo. You seem pretty happy today." She unwrapped her arms from me, removed her sandals, and sat down beside me.

"I am? I didn't even notice." She scrunched up her nose and giggled splashing her feet around in the water. She reminded me of a small child.

"You still texting Daniel?" I whispered over to her. Her cheeks turned red of shyness and I couldn't help but like mentally die inside. She probably would never have feelings like that for me. I shouldn't care though, or bother with that. I guess she's doing me a favor.

"Yup and he's such a funny guy. Sadly this is his last year of high school. So he was telling me he is trying to enjoy the summer." I nodded listening to her and smiling at her like I cared.

"Does he go to our school?" She pulled her phone out. I guess going through messages and nodded happily. "Are you going to tell the girls?" I asked.

Now that I knew he was from our school, I had to ask Siyeon who the hell this kid was. Is he a good guy? Will he treat my Jihyo right? All these questions were running through my head.

"No. I want to keep it between you and I for a bit. Or at least until the conversation continues. " I nodded softly at her then focused back on the girls who were splashing around. "Not going to get in?"

"Not yet. But you should get in. Have some fun Jihyo!" I teased. She. Nodded standing up and removing her sandals, her shirt so she was only in like a sports bra and shorts. She had an amazing body. I can't help but stare.

When she came back up to the surface, her pink hair was slicked back. It was like in a movie scene. I chuckled a little before slowly just getting into the pool and going over to Chaeyoung.

"So you were waiting on Jihyo?" Chaeyoung teased splashing water at my face. I splashed her back, holding my breath and going under the water.

This was the only time I had to myself to think. To think about her and how this shit sucks. Why do we have to feel?Why do we have to suffer?

"I'm c-cold." I heard when I came to the surface. I opened my eyes to be met with Jihyo's big brown eyes.

"You ok?" I asked. She nodded shaking slightly and wrapped her arms around me, holding on to me. She rested her head on my back and stood there as I swam over the the edge of the pool.

"Guys!!" Our heads snapped over to the gate where Dahyun was holding up a piece of paper.

"What do you have there, Dubu?" Chaeyoung asked Dahyun. Dubu was her cute little nickname.

"My parents just paid off a piece of property up in the mountains. Here in my hands is the deed to a cabin where we will be staying in a few days when Sana and Momo come back. We are going camping guys."
