chapter 4

Y/N POV

"Who wants a map?" Out of all places, my friends decided to take Jihyo to the Zoo. I didn't mind of course considering I liked going to the zoo. It was my mom's favorite place to take us before school stared.

"I want one!" I yawned sticking out my arm to Nayeon. She handed me one and I moved to the back of the group to give myself some space.

"Sana is with your girlfriend!" Chaeyoung pressed her side against mine and wrapped an arm around my shoulders whispering over to me to make a move.

"She isn't my girlfriend." I shrugged Chaeyoung away and looked over at her. Glaring at her with so much anger. 

Im not gay. Or at least I tell myself I'm not. I always knew I always felt different with people. Like Nayeon for instants. I developed a crush on her when i met her in middle school. That crush literally took over my live, but i tried my hardest to not let it show. Then, Nayeon met Jeongyeon, they started a relationship, and my feelings for my friend subsided. Then I met a guy name Sungjin. A really nice boy who I had a crush on. But he sadly moved away. So crushes suck for me.

The thing is though, I've seen how my friends, siblings, and other people acted when they are with their significant other. Its like their wasting their time. One minute they're happy, and the next their screaming at each others faces. Not only that, once you break up I've seen what it can do. It can hurt you so much to the point you don't even want to do anything anymore, or it can be the complete opposite and you're ranging at everything and everyone.

That's not me. I want to be able to finish school, Even though I have a few years of high school with good grades, go to college, and get a job helping my mom at the hospital. Being with someone is just a distraction, and I have to stay clear from that. I want to make my mom proud considering she raised four of us on her own.

"Calm down. You know I'm only messing with you." Chaeyoung rolled her eyes and stepped away from me.

During the first hour at the zoo, I watched my friends surround themselves around Jihyo, trying to show her the animals. She was new, and they were like kids attaching themselves to her.

"The birds! We have to go to the bird cages!" Sana exclaimed pointing at the map.

"No! Let's go see the reptiles!" Dahyun yelled pointing to the direction of the reptilian exhibit.

"How about lunch? We're going to be here all day anyway." Nayeon suggested and bumped your shoulder playfully. Nayeon did this alot to make sure I was ok. "Jeongyeon you go with everyone else and find someplace to sit all ten of us. Y/n and I will get food." I nodded and linked my arm with her as we walked to the concession stand.

"A large pizza?" I asked as I offered to pay for lunch today. We always took turns and today was mine.

"Have you met our friends? If anything Momo and Chaeyoung will eat one then the rest us." I chuckled and nodded. Those two can definitely eat If we allowed them to.

"Then two it is." I paid for the food and drinks and Nayeon and I moved to the pick up area to wait for the food.

"Why so quiet today? Usually you and Chaeyoung are driving us crazy." Nayeon chuckled. I shrugged and sat beside her on a bench. 

"I don't know. I guess I'm not very much in the mood." Nayeon placed her hand on my shoulder and shook me a little.

"Why! I'll make you in the mood!" She pinched my sides like if she was tickling me and smacked my arm a few times.

"Stop!" I laughed. "Ok. Ok."

We grabbed the food and walked over to the seating area, and found Jeongyeon and the group in the way back. We walked over and I nearly lost it. The only empty seats were by Jihyo and Jeongyeon. Nayeon would never let me sit there since she wants to sit by her girlfriend. So, I had no other choice but to sit by Jihyo.

"Thank you, Y/n!" Nayeon screamed making sure I heard her, but honestly, the whole Zoo heard her.

"Welcome." Then the rest of the girls screamed their thank yous and I nodded feeling slightly embarrassed as people around us began to look.

"Thank you." I turned to my side and looked over at Jihyo who smiled happily at me.

"You welcome." My voice was nervous and all I wanted to do was beat myself up for  Embarrassing myself in front of Jihyo.

"Chaeyoung! Wait!" I screamed as we threw our trash away and Chaeyoung was already leaving to the next section of the zoo.

Chaeyoung waited. I swear I thought she was going to leave me hanging or ignore me.

"What's up?" Her voice wasn't annoyed but wasn't the happiest either.

"I just want to say sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to act like that." Chaeyoung rolled her eyes but wrapped her arm around my shoulders.

"I love teasing you, Y/n. I find it quite hilarious. I understand I can go just a little bit out of control, but can you blame me?" She laughed holding me tighter as her laugh grew.

"I know. I know. But can we just not talk about it. I honestly just want to not think about it." Chaeyoung smirked at me but nodded anyway.

The time went faster than I thought. It was already getting dark and we decided to head out of the zoo and towards Nayeon's and mine suv.

"Today was so much fun!" Tzuyu and Dahyun said together running around the parking lot like a bunch of kids without parents.

"Watch it with the cars girls. I dont want us driving to the hospital." Jeongyeon spoke grabbing Nayeon's hands pulling her closer to her side. "Y/n's mom will definitely kill us this time." We laughed as everyone looked at me.

"Hey! How were we supposed to know Sana was going to fall and sprain a wrist?" Sana laughed in hysterics as she clutched on to her stomach. 

"Your mom was so mad at you!" Sana exclaimed in a fit of laughter.

"Which I still don't understand why. You fell on your own." I chuckled bumping my arm against hers playfully.

"Sana is clumsy theres nothing we could have done about that. I guess it was the fact that we were seated on the hood of your car." Mina laughed patting lightly at Sana's arm. "Its a safety concern."

"You're going to have so much fun with us, Jihyo. Endless memories you'll make with us that will make you laugh at the most randomness of times." Dahyun linked her arm with Jihyo's as she walked over to my car.

"We can be a handful sometimes. I'm warning you now" I spoke looking over at her. She chuckled and shook her head.

"It's ok. Honestly, I can be a little hard to handle to." My breath got caught in my throat. "I just need to open up a little more." She smiled. "But thank you girls alot for today. It was so much fun." We nodded at her with big smiles.

"Its time I should get home. Don't want my mom to worry." Jeongyeon spoke opening Nayeon's car so she can get in.

"Yeah, I need to go before Siyeon freaks out that she's home alone with Yoongi. They fight way to much." They nodded and we hugged each other before we got into the suv. Momo, Sana Dahyun, Jeongyeon, and Nayeon in Nayeon's car, then Jihyo, Chaeyoung, Mina, Tzuyu, and I in mine.

"Another adventure awaits tomorrow! Be prepared!" Nayeon screamed out her window before speeding out of the parking space, and out of the Zoo's parking lot.
