If it's going to get violent tonight

Tell me you're going to be alright

You're gonna be

It's an eye for an eye

And I don't know if I want you to fight

I'm losing my mind, don't leave me behind

We need a bit more time

'Cause I don't want the world to turn without you

And I don't want the sun to burn without you

You don't have to be the brave one every time

I know you wanna make it right

You wanna make

It's a life for a lie and I'm getting tired of being on the other side

Can you hear my cry

An old lullaby

Drifting through the sky

'Cause I don't want the world to turn without you

Yeah I don't want the sun to burn without you

So won't you hold me now

Hold me like I never did anything to hurt you

Don't let go

Give me another minute to lay here in your echo

I don't wanna live my life without you

I will watch the world burn without you

The room was dark. Just the soft sounds of machines beeping every minute or so could be heard. He sat on a chair by the bed leaned forward, clinging lightly to the tan hand. He refused to leave. They had admitted Neji for observation and the nurses had asked Kakashi and Iruka to help stay with the babies.  Isao was taken to the NICU because he had some issues controlling his breathing while Mirari was in the nursery thankfully doing fine. Iruka was staying in the NICU with their grandson while Kakashi looked after their granddaughter and the raven knew that detective Sabaku was at Neji's bedside.

He sat abiding how the last months' events played out bringing them to this point. Never in his life would he have ever imagined Naruto being caught up in such a treacherous situation. The love of his life living in fear, running from danger, yet weeping over a lost soul that he once had been in love with. That someone that he fell in love with to the point of creating two other human beings with would of, should have been him and not some criminal or anyone else.

How stupid could he be. How lame he was for being afraid to tell him that day how he felt.  He spent the last five years lamenting that if he had only given him the poem when he believed it was for someone else, their lives today would be different, much easier for them across the broad spectrum.  He wasn't much into poetry until he started falling for the golden mop. Reading the enchanted words somehow helped him understand and connect his feelings. Yet he allowed him to believe the passage was for another.

Sasuke adjusted his chair so that he could sit back more comfortably without letting go of the hand encased with his. He sighed heavily rubbing at his temple trying to relieve the headache that was being persistent. He wasn't sure if it was from being hit on the head earlier or from all of the crying he had been doing. "Please, never leave me." He whispered rubbing his thumb across the smaller's knuckles.
