Naruto sighed in contentment as he relaxed on a garden chair in their back yard. It was a gorgeous Spring morning, the birds were singing and the air was filled with the sweet scent of cherry blossoms. The weather was perfect and the blonde took advantage of it.

He gazed up at the clear blue sky, his thoughts drifting back to having lunch with Sasuke and the way he seemed so caring; although that was the thing about the raven, he was always caring despite the tough exterior he put up for the world to see. It wasn't just with the time they had lunch, but ever since he has come back home there are many things Sasuke has done for him that brought back old forgotten feelings. Feelings he thought had washed away with time, even when Sai had stepped into his life.

Sweet divide, a heavy truth

Though recently he had been catching himself drifting back to his long buried day dreams of him. Of how they would look like as a family with lots of kids. Yet, reminiscing back to that week Sasuke was dotting on him. How he touched his face with slender pale fingers, and the many events that have occurred was different than he could ever remember.

Your fingertips trace my skin

Naruto questioned himself that perhaps maybe he fell for Sai because of their similar appearance, albeit there were things about Sai he liked but he now sadly concluded that he never actually loved him; he always loved Sasuke, as if a red thread connected him to his best friend. His love for the Uchiha has consistently been different and their time together was a big reminder of that. Sasuke has never and would never lie to him, that he knew for certain. Regardless that he was tolerable with others, brushing others off, but with him he was always genuine. 'Could it be that he has feelings for me?' Naruto thought to himself whilst rubbing his belly.

I've looked for love in every stranger

A spark of panic seized his chest as the cognizance sank in. That his own cowardice for not sharing his feelings with his childhood friend had caused him to rope in another man that so happened to share some similar characteristics with said friend; feeding his sad twisted dreams. He felt horrible at the thought of his actions, wishing he had realized it sooner.

Drunk on a feeling, alone with the stars in the sky

A fluttering feeling pulled him out of the dark pool of his mind. He blinked down at the swell before he smiled. "Looking out for me already?" his eyes softening when he felt another feeling of butterflies. "I'm okay", he whispered to his belly. "Mommy is just being silly," humming a little tune with a smile on his face, feeling the little flatters of his babies. "You guys are active today." He remarked before singing the song that his father used to sing to him at bedtime. It was a song about a little badger who learned courage.

Sasuke slowly walked towards the pregnant man after having let himself into the couple's home with the extra key they had given him.

"You know I've known you for seventeen years and I've never heard you sing so well," remarking as he slowly walked towards the blonde noting from the startled gaze that he caught him off guard. He gave the latter an apologetic smile.

Sasuke took a seat in one of the patio chairs across from his friend. "But I guess five years apart from each other was enough to give you practice." Ignoring the glaring blues. "Don't worry, it's finally good. You were always terrible when we were younger," he teased.

Naruto huffed out a low sound, somewhere between a laugh and a snort of annoyance. "Excuse you. I'm a terrific singer. I could of rivaled Beyonce but I didn't want to take her spotlight, ... I really wasn't into the fame life, you know." A smug look played across pink lips and Sasuke did his best not to be hypnotized by them.
