Can I Call You Mine

Chapter 19

Naruto couldn’t believe what he was hearing. All of their lives as friends he had only dreamed that it could be more and now Sasuke was revealing all of the romantic emotions that he had longed for so long ago...

Sasuke moved closer to the omega, extending his hand. “Naruto…”

Naruto slapped it away, balling his fists. “Don’t fucking touch me.”

Sasuke shuddered from the caustic snarl, but pressed on. “I wanted to tell you so many times, but each time I'd always think of the worsted scenarios.”

“What?! ” Naruto shouted in disbelief. Feeling very offended at what the raven said. “When have I ever given you the impression that you couldn't talk to me?”

“No, Naruto, it was never anything like that!” Sasuke responded, trying to touch him in an attempt to calm Naruto down. “Please, listen to me⏤”

“Don't touch me!” Naruto growled, wrenching his arm away from his grasp and tried to wiggle himself of the couch.

If Sasuke ever managed to touch him he wouldn't know, wouldn't trust himself if he would ignore his heart's calling, that wanted to forgive the alpha right away. But those conflicting emotions kept twisting and turning like a blunt knife stabbing through his chest. They would of been together a long time ago. Life would of been different. This very recalling rose a bile in his throat.

“I can't believe this. I just can't believe this, after everything we've been through. You wouldn't even blink twice to tell someone what you think of them, yet you couldn't even tell me how you feel.” Naruto strode in circles agitated. “You bastard.  I thought we trusted each other enough to tell one another how we feel?”

Sasuke answered at once, hating how everything was spiraling out of control. “No Naruto, It was never like that⏤it was never my intentio⏤”

“Then why! Why did you not tell me this before!”

It suddenly made sense, this bastard was so affectionate towards him, why why his family and friends would always tease him. Did this mean everyone knew of the raven's feeling except for him. All along he thought they teased him because of his one sided affection.

Naruto screwed his eyes shut, his thunderous scream shaking all the walls.

“I was afraid of losing you.”

I’m trying to hold my breath

Naruto hitched his breath, swiveling his head in complete disbelief towards Sasuke. He almost ready to considered that the Uchiha was lying, if only he didn't look so earnest and desperate.

“I've always loved you since we first started high school.” Sasuke gave a sad smile as he finally got of the couch as well. "I believe even way before that." He chuckled weakly. "But we were little and I've only been so sure when we started high school."

Let it stay this way

When this added info sank in, Naruto muttered. “Sasuke.” But he only received silence instead, one more revelation cramming in his brain, so he groaned, messing his hair. “You can't⏤you can't just throw this kind of thing out of nowhere on me!”

Sasuke however continued his confession, words flowing now that the dam was broken. “There wasn’t a day I stopped loving you, Naruto, I got desperate. It felt for me that this was the only way out.”

Can’t let this moment end  

“Coward!”

“Excuse me?”  Sasuke blinked confusingly, the tone that the blonde had spoken in making him feel even more nervous!
