The smells of sweet and spicy filled the air in Sasuke's backyard. Mikoto and Fugaku having came to visit the new arrival of their grandchild, so the raven thought it would be nice to have a reunion of family and friends while they were here, and what better way then with a BBQ.
"I'm just saying. I feel it would be better if they have mostly orange onesies." Iruka frowned at the blonde's comment. His son's love of any shade that resembled the color orange has always been a go around between them ever since he was little, especially when attending school and his need to wear something orange with his uniforms.
"Honey just because that's your favorite color doesn't mean that it needs to be theirs. Besides a lilac dress would be really cute for my granddaughter."
Naruto huffed, grabbing the pastry dish that his mother prepared. They were getting ready to go to Sasuke's place. Neji and Kakashi had long since gone to help out. "But what's wrong with orange? It's not like they have a preference." He shrugged eyeing the chocolate cake the older omega prepared.
"Because the world is made up of colors not a color." Iruka deadpan. "They all need to be appreciated."
They walked out the front door. Bickering about the blonde's choice on baby wear as they made their way across the road to the raven's home.
Itachi was the first to greet them, then Lily who was excited to introduce her brother to Iruka. The Uchiha quickly took a hold of the dish from the older brunette's arms, when the little girl tried to snatch the omega's arm and drag him toward her mother. Itachi scolded her lightly for her behavior, only to get a sheepish sorry in return. Iruka did nothing more but chuckle at the pair and let Lilium lead him to Kean in the kitchen.
Naruto cooed at the baby in Iruka's arms. Never getting tired of looking at him. "Have you gotten any rest so far?" He asked, glancing at Deidara, who had a towel draped over his shoulder.
"I actually have. Can you believe that he's already on a schedule? Mom is right. The child is lazy." Deidara informed. His candidacy making Iruka and Naruto giggle. "His so adorable. I want one." Said Iruka.
Naruto blinked at him then to Deidara and back to his mother, "You want one of what?" Totally confused since he was technically going to have two grand babies soon.
The older omega snorted. "Little munchkins like Kean here." He kissed the sleeping baby's cheek. "Oh" Naruto gave a sigh of relief once understanding the brunette's clarification. "Mom, did you forget that you're getting two." He rolled his eyes.
"Don't you want a baby brother or sister?"
Naruto blinked. "At your age?" The words immediately leaving his mouth without any forethought.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Iruka instantly furrowed his eyebrows.
Naruto was caught startled and Deidara snickered, shocked that he said it out loud. "Nothing." he squeaked.
"Humph, Come Kean let's go find grandpa Kaka and see if we can adopt you to replace my hurtful son." the brunette scoffed, cooing at the baby that blinked sleepy eyes at him. He yawned and Iruka swooned at the adorable infant leaving the two in the kitchen to go search for Kakashi with the baby still in his arms.
"Sorry mom! I love you!" Naruto called after the retreating brunette, whom basically ignored his cries as Deidara burst out laughing.
Naruto sighed and sat next to Deidara. "If only I could be you. I'm still baking." He pouted as he rubbed his belly.
"Are you really looking forward to having sleepless nights? Kean may be an angel but Lilium made her displeasure known." The older blonde warned. "Ugh! If we could only program them somehow."
