I'm writing ANOTHER Al shot. Cause I can, cause I want to, and cause Alphonse Elric is the BOMB. I hope you guys are having a good day.
Yeah, I don't write Al in his human body. I'm sorry, but I prefer him in his armor. Idk why.

You sat on a bench just outside of Central. There was a slight sprinkle of rain falling from the gray skies. You didn't mind, though. You didn't even have an umbrella. The rain felt good on your feverish skin, as if it were washing away your worries. That was especially good, because these days, there were a lot.
"[y/n], you're going to get a cold." There was a familiar voice calling out to you. One that was youthful and bright, with a slight echo. Suddenly, there's an umbrella over your head and a suit of armor sitting beside you. You blush slightly, knowing that Alphonse Elric was perhaps the most caring person out there. You had developed a crush on him over time, but there was no way you'd admit it. He was teaching you alchemy, not love connections.
"You should probably keep the umbrella on you, Al," you note, scooting closer so he could hold it over himself, too. And for other reasons... "We don't want you to rust...." Alphonse chuckles nervously, and you smile at him. He was just too sweet.
"I guess if you insist," he relents. "But I must ask... what are you doing out here?"
"Enjoying the rain." Your answer was short and sweet. Alphonse sighs sadly, looking up at the gray skies. They held beauty, but it was something you'd have to really concentrate on to see. Grayness is a simple, short, yet complex thing to both of you."I miss being able to do that," Al laments. You look at him quizzically. What could possibly be keeping him? Did he not have his own free will? Of course, you didn't know. There was a secret that Alphonse had kept from you, due to shame and embarrassment. You didn't know that really, he couldn't enjoy the rain like he used to.
"Alphonse, why don't you just take off that armor, and enjoy yourself?" You didn't know how much that question threw the poor boy. If you were to be honest with yourself, you were dying to know what his face looked like underneath the armor.
"I can't," he whispers softly, staring at the concrete. You felt bad all of the sudden. He sounded so saddened and upset, that you cursed yourself for asking a question that could hurt his feelings like that. You weren't sure why, though."I'm sorry...." you speak gently, feeling as if you honestly needed to apologize. "I'm sorry. I don't mean to hurt your feelings..." You sigh, pulling your knees up to your chest, resting your head on them, and sort of closing yourself out. Al looks at you.
"You're beautiful, you know?"
The statement caught you off guard. You look at him, tilting your head to the side. "Me? Beautiful?" You almost laugh aloud. You didn't agree with that opinion at all."Yes, you." You may not be able to see it, but there was a smile in Alphonse's voice just then. "Even more beautiful than the skies." And beautiful they were.
"You are beautiful, too," you comment back, glancing up at the skies you were just compared to as the sprinkles of rain turned just a bit lighter.
"You've never seen my face before," Al chuckles."But I know," you insist. "I can see it. Your soul is beautiful, Al."
