My good friend asked that I could write her a fan fiction one-shot about Ciel Phantomhive. You may not know me well for Black Butler fics, but here it is. Enjoy. :3
Anime: Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler
Character: Ciel Phantomhive【】【】【】【】
Ciel Phantomhive glances over towards you, his deep blue eye glittering. Even with an eye-patch, he was a real looker to you. Small strands of dark grey hair hung in his face effortlessly, like bangs, and the smallest of smiles crossed his lips at the sight of you. Your cheeks begin to heat up, and you curse yourself for seeming so silly around him. You desperately wanted him to like you, as you took quite a liking to him. He was freaking hot, in your eyes (and your words).
"[y/n]," he speaks, voice soft and lacking its normal icy shard. "I...wanted to say something to you, which is why I've brought you out to this garden." The garden of which everything seemed to be so perfect. Especially him...
"Yes, Ciel?" you smile politely. You were one of the few permitted to call him by his first name. This was a small secret shared between the two of you, but he personally despised his name. He claimed that he had no idea what his parents were thinking when they named him, but would say no more about the mysterious pair that created him. It pained him to speak of them, and it pained you to think that he was hurting.
Ciel carefully played with the hem of his coat, beginning to turn a bit pink. It was sweet, and adorable, the way he looked. A normally dignified person, with the smallest amounts of affection. Blush definitely suited him, you thought. Then again, you believed that everything suited him. No matter how grotesque, or normally repelling it may be.
"Well, uh- [y/n], you've been living in this mansion for quite some time now..." he began, clearing his throat carefully and avoiding eye-contact with you. You wanted to see where the topic would go, but, a small picture fell out of Ciel's pocket. Before he could get to it, you snatched it from the ground without consent.
What you saw was a picture of a family. The father was devilishly handsome, and the mother had the most beautiful blue eyes. The child was a small boy, who had blue eyes like the mother, and tufts of grey hair. He was smiling, happily, as the parents were as well. Your heart began to soften, which was rare. You never felt much for other people.
"Give that back," Ciel demands, seeming to be a bit off guard, but not snappy in the slightest. He never had a rude tone around you, but with everyone else instead. It was as if you were a special case, or something like that.
You handed him the picture shakily, and he clears his throat briskly, putting it away in his coat pocket. His blue eye was full of sadness, and you felt guilty. See that? Someone actually made you feel guilty. What was up with that?
"Were those your parents?" you ask softly, and gingerly, afraid that you would somehow hurt Ciel. He sighs softly, looking at a nearby flower bush with a burning gaze. He didn't have eyes for anything, except that bush, for the time being.
"Yes, they were," he nods curtly. He slowly turned his head towards you, with a small amount of sadness in his expression. "No one else knows I carry around this picture. Not even Sebastian. I think it goes without saying, when I say that I request your silence about this."
"Understood," you agree instantly. But, something bothered you. "Why do you carry around a picture?" You then curse yourself for your apparent insensibility.
"Because," Ciel frowns. "I think I need a reminder, now and then, about why I am who I am. That's why."
"You're lonely, aren't you," you sigh, more to yourself than to him. Of course, because the words were uttered aloud, he heard you. He heard the words you spoke, and when he looked so hurt, behind those blue eyes...you wondered if you'd ever forgive yourself.
"Oh, [y/n]," he mutters. "How is it, you're the one person who can truly see through me? No one else could ever understand."
"I know you, Ciel," you smile sadly. "I know that you are lonely, as well. Even though you-" You began to blush furiously, gulping, but continuing anyways. "You have me. B-because, well, um...yeah. You have me."
"I wouldn't be lonely, had I known I had you in the first place," Ciel blushes, covering his cheeks with the collar of his coat and trying to be discreet. It wasn't working very well at all, and it made you feel happy. The way he looked, and the fact that he was right in front of you.
"You don't have to pretend that you're okay," you inform him. "I've done it before. And let me tell you; it's a huge mistake."
"Fine," Ciel takes a deep breath, inhaling, then exhaling in a long breath. "Then I don't have to pretend that there's nothing between us."
"Wait, what!?" you shout, surprised and taken-aback. You knew there was more between the two of you, but you never would've thought that he sensed it too. Besides, he had a fiance. Why would he go and say you two had something, when he had her to run to?
"I've loved you for a while now," Ciel states, beginning to turn crimson. "Th-that's why I came and took you out here. T-to tell you. A-and to request that you stay here, for permanent living arrangements. A life with me....if that's okay with you."
"That's perfectly fine with me!" By now, you couldn't stop beaming. Then, you went back to your previous thoughts. "What about Lizzy." You spat out her name in disgust, crossing your arms in a childish behavior.
"Lizzy is nothing, compared to you," Ciel smirks. "In fact, the whole world is nothing, compared to you. Not a single miracle out there, if there is such thing, could be more amazing than you are. And that's just the truth."
You began to feel your cheeks redden considerably. No one has ever made you feel more special, and you knew that for certain.
You didn't have to pretend.
Ciel lightly takes you chin in his delicate hand, and pulls you to his lips. You could feel each of his gentle breaths close to you, tickling your skin ever-so-slightly. His lips looked so soft, and so kissable.
And they were. Soon, each of your lips were upon each other, pulling apart for the tiniest space of air, only to entwine themselves once more. His lips were so soft, and they tasted sweet. From your blurred vision, you could see his closed eyes. His hanging bangs. His perfect skin. The very vision of him was in your mind as you allowed your eyes to flutter shut.
His hands were pulling you closer to him by your waist. You both were standing up by now, and the sun seemed to warm the two of you as you continued to show your love through a kiss. Allowing something much more than words to speak to the pair in the garden.
Words that told you both. Now, you would never be lonely. Now, you'd always have someone at your side. Now, you'd always be happy.
And now, you wouldn't have to pretend anymore.
