Almost on cue, multiple Monokumas dressed as firefighters show up with fire extinguishers to put out the flames that have grown near the back of the stage, eating away at the curtains. Meanwhile Kaori tries to open the windows, but they don't budge.

"Fuck this shit." She hisses through gritted teeth and lifts her elbow and uses all her force to hit the window. The glass shatters, some pieces falling to the floor, before she kicks out most of the remaining pieces "Try to get some fresh air, all of you!"

Then Juro picks up on a strange sound and it feels like his heart stops for a moment when he and Kaori exchange a look and he mouths 'drop'. He pushes Ryoko and Chinami to the ground, while Kaori drags Minoru and Mai to the floor, the latter hitting her head in her drowsy state and cursing when a flash of light flares up behind them as something explodes and pieces of debris fly everywhere. Juro managed to cover his ears just in time, but the loud noise still leaves them ringing.

"It seems the curtains blocked most of stuff flying around." Kaori mutters, pushing herself up on her elbows to look behind them.

Juro nods while sitting up, unable to say much when he looks over at where he saw Youta's body before the announcement played. He ignores more Monokumas that come to put out the rest of the fire.

They lost someone else... again.

He rests his head on his knees, heaving a sigh.

"You okay, Sasaki-kun?" Minoru asks softly.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Juro does his best to keep his voice from cracking and avoids Minoru's worried gaze. He hardens his expression while looking at the crime scene again "We have another trial coming up."

He finally understands why Ryoko wears a neutral expression at all times. It keeps people from seeing your real emotions.

"Maybe this one will b-be easier, if the culprit just... k-killed Fukui-kun to help us." Chinami suggests.

"Unless they wanted to save themselves instead of us." Mai mutters, getting up.

"Let's just focus on the problem at hand." Juro sighs, not wanting to dwell on the possibility of someone betraying them yet again, although he knows it's possible with how good Monokuma is at pushing people over the edge "We need to figure out what... and who killed Fukui-kun."

"Please do. That idiot wrecked a bunch of my spares!" Monokuma pops up, face bright red with anger as his red eye has an ominous glow in it.

"I don't feel bad for those heaps of junk." Minoru deadpans.

"Yeah yeah, they were just walking pieces of scrap metal, unlike our friends you've killed." Kaori adds with a hiss, glaring at Monokuma.

"You shouldn't be provoking me right now after the stunt you pulled." Monokuma glares right back at the Otologist "You broke a rule."

"Rule number 9, 'destroying any property of the grounds without explicit permission from the headmaster is stricly prohibited'." Juro quotes, recalling the rule.

"Exactly, so you know what that means..."

"Hold up." Mai has drawn an arrow from her quiver and points the object at Monokuma, holding it close to his red eye as if she wants to poke it out "You really gonna do this now?"

"Zayasu-san might've saved our lives with that 'stunt'." Juro says calmly, much calmer than he feels. He swallows the lump in his throat as he continues with his plea "It'd be very boring if all of us had died from smoke inhalation here, right? You'd have no one to participate in the trial and this game would've had no survivors."
