"Check, check, check" Jennie uttered as she piled all her belongings into one bag to take for the weekend.
"So you'll be gone for a little?" Lisa asked as she sat at the bed where Jennie was moving things here and there.
"Yeah, I'm going up to Ethiopia as a part of the military personnel for the ally meet. I'll be back soon though, just five days." Jennie finished as she zipped her bag.
"Get me some good food kay?" Lisa said as she gave Jennie a wink as the latter only chuckled.
"I'll leave it by the main base locker. We can't bring it here after all." She reminded the younger as she closed her locker door one final time.
"So, what do you say for lu-" Lisa began, inviting the girl for a long awaited private lunch, but was interrupted.
"Major! There's an issue that needs to be dealt with immediately. Please report to the office, we have the commander on call as well. Salute" a soldier muttered rushing in.
Cutting off Lisa, he immediately explained the situation and the urgency as the commander was there as well.
"Dismissed. Thank you for informing me, I'm going. Bye Lis, take care" Jennie said giving the girl a brief hug before grabbing her bag and dashing out the room.
"..nch"
——-
"What's the situation" Jennie asked as she stepped into the room after saluting the commander.
"There's been a discovery by one of our people themselves, about a fake UN worker. They used the UN donation services as a cover for smuggling guns and a few drugs into the country" Taehyung said handing her a file.
Mumbling a thank you she skimmed through the pages looking at the details.
"Do we have any suspicions so far?" Jennie asked once she looked through it.
"We're thinking it's definitely a gang shipment. But who it is or any identification, we're missing" the commander said.
"Anyways, if you do find them, send them to the local police, or just try not to get involved like you did today." He began as both taehyung and Jennie furrowed their eyebrows.
"But Sir, they could be manipulated. It could be dangerous fo-" Taehyung began to protest against the idea but was suddenly stopped again.
"It could be trouble to our own people. What if they turn against us. This is not our country, don't pick a fight where we don't belong" he clarified.
Taehyung was about to speak up again but was stopped.
"This is an order, captain. Please do remember you are still under the South Korean military, not the Uruk." The commander said authoritatively as Taehyung only looked down.
"Yes sir." He said.
"Jennie, make sure you finish your mission, and when you come back try to safely manage the situation, if you see the gang" he said as Jennie nodded, glancing at Taehyung.
"Yes sir"
"Good. Dismissed" he said as the two saluted and cut the call.
"I have to go. But Taehyung, the gang isn't a Uruk native. If you find them, don't get involved without calling me. I'll come back if I have to" she said handing the file to him as he looked up shocked.
"Huh? Didn't the comm-" he started confused as she offered a smile.
"I'll cover with something. Lives could be at risk here, especially with guns. It could be bigger than just a local thing. Make sure to be discreet, otherwise both our jobs are on the line."
Jennie smiled as she gave a reassuring squeeze on his arm before sighing.
"I have to go, the flight will be here soon and I need to get across. But I trust you Taehyung, don't fail me at this" she said giving his arm a pat before leaving.
She opened the door ready to leave before hearing her name.
"Jennie" they called as she turned around raising an eyebrow questioning Taehyung.
"Thank you. And stay safe" he said with a smile as she nodded and gave a playful finger salute, before picking up her bag crossing the door.
——
"And so why am I here?" Yoongi asked as Taehyung only grinned.
"What do you mean Hyung? You know how much I trust you" he said as he teasingly leant against the table.
The table was circled with Jimin, Jungkook, Yoongi and him.
He decided to only tell them as to maintain the secrecy of the plan, and these were the people he most trusted.
"We don't even talk that much..." Yoongi mentioned as he crossed his arms.
"So? Trust doesn't have to be expressed in words hyung. You can feel how much I love you" he said dramatically adding notions to his words, as yoongi cringed at him.
The others at the table were enjoying the session going on between their normally composed captain and their affection allergic Yoongi.
They couldn't help but snigger at how desperate Yoongi was to get Taehyung to stop.
"Aish fine I'll join but stop this first, it's embarrassing me" he said as Taehyung laughed.
"And that... ladies and ladies, is how you get Yoongi hyung to join" he said as all three of them were ready to Throw fists.
"Yah!" They all said standing up as Taehyung laughed.
"Now now, don't have a fight here. We're supposed to use this dining table for dinner later" Jisoo said passing by as she took an apple.
