"Come in." Jennie said as she opened the door for Taehyung, as he walked into her surprisingly luxurious apartment.
It had been about two months since the incident, and he had been finally discharged.
Of course Jennie didn't stay there that long, even if he was on sick leave she still had work.
She went on over night missions, but mostly decided to stick to work in Korea as much as possible, for the sake of the situation.
She now also played a part in over looking the new training as making up for the shift in duties.
Her pay had resumed a month ago, and she would be free to apply for her promotion in another 3 months, and Taehyung would be once he was granted a clearing to apply when he reached the required skill set.
The two months in the hospital were excruciating to him, and he was finally able too leave once he had finished his physical recovery.
And he was basically back to normal, he could do basically every thing, and just needed to build his stamina again, which wouldn't be too big of a problem seeing how well he manages himself.
And by next month, he would be back at work.
However, for the first two weeks or so, Taehyung was asked to be with someone just in case he would have needed assistance.
But unfortunately, Taehyung lived alone at his residence, as his father and mother lived farther away at the provided residence for his rank.
So Jennie had offered for him to stay at her apartment, as she lived alone either ways, and she didn't mind the company as she had stayed by his side for a week either way.
It took loads of persuasion, especially her bringing in the fact that both Jungkook and Jimin had girlfriend's, so it would be painfully awkward for him.
And Yoongi? Well he would have him shot dead the minute his sleep were to be interrupted.
"Here's the pin code for my door, don't lose it." She said, immediately handing that to him before taking his one duffel bag.
"Your apartment, is huge. How the heck do you afford this place?" He freaked as Jennie only slightly chuckled.
His astonishment was justified, as her apartment, although home to one, had two bathrooms, a separate living and dining area, marble stone kitchen and a dream balcony with a lounge chair.
"When you get promoted to a major, you'll earn as much as I do right now, which is more than the reserve major. They would earn about $100,000, according to the pay roll, and I earn about $20,000 more. So even though my pay was docked, this place didn't face too much damage as long as I cut down on my spendings." She explained before walking in further.
"Well, you take the bedroom soldier, I'll take the couch." Jennie replied as she began to move to put his bag in, but was stopped by his hand.
"I don't think so, its your house, I'll take the couch." He firmly replied as she folded her elbows giving him a questioning look.
"In what universe do you think your tall ass will fit on that couch?" She pointed out as he sighed.
"Look, you're still healing, and the worst thing to do is have you get sick, or even accidentally move in the wrong way." She strongly said.
"Just take the bedroom, trust me. I'm used to the couch, I've fallen asleep there more than you can think." She laughed before continuing to move his things there, as Taehyung only sighed and followed her there.
Her room was somehow just as he expected, he didn't know how.
Monotonous elements for colours, with red pillows as a contrast along with a red lamp on her bedside table.
Cabinets lined the walls, from the ground to the ceiling.
On one of the walls, attached was a shelf, full of picture frames and memorable items, along with a small desk on the other side of the room.
"I already got you a towel, I put it in the second bathroom since this one has all my stuff anyways. If you need anything, just ask. But save that for later, I'm starving and want dinner." She smiled as he nodded, tossing his jacket onto the bag on the floor and taking one last look before following her out.
"Wan't fried chicken? With rice cakes? I'll get some dumpling to go along with that. If you want some beer it's in the fridge." She motioned, rapidly planning out an order as he shook his head at her yet nevertheless went to get water, as he isn't much of a drinker either way.
He joined her at the couch, as she had placed the order and was now clicking past the various Netflix shows.
"Ah lets watch this.. Squid game. It looks interesting right? What do you say?" She asked as he just agreed to play it, and she briefly excused herself to change and shower out of her training gear, letting him continue watching without her.
Whilst she was in the shower, the doorbell had rung, so he went to receive the order instead, yet paused in his steps once he saw a few bills of cash under a paper weight, with a sticky note next to it.
'For the food, in case I take too long.' It read.
'She really thinks of everything huh?' He thought with a smile as he headed to the door, paying for the food with whatever money she had left, not wanting to piss her off as he brought the containers in, putting them on the table opened.
And just in time at that, as Jennie had just walked out of the shower in a huge T-shirt and sweatpants, as she sat next to him with her hair down, still slightly wet.
"Oh you finished the pilot already. That's good, I watched it earlier anyways too." She said, engrossed in the TV as she snapped her chopsticks and attacked the dumplings, smiling in satisfaction.
"This, Taehyung, is my comfort meal." She said with a bright smile as Taehyung only shook his head at her antics.
"Yeah yeah just eat properly"
