"Hey"
"Hello, I'm Steven, Edith's um boyfriend?"
"Oh I know all about yo-"
"OK HALEY" Edith yells, a desperate smile on her face. "Why don't you go check the food"
"But I-"
"Go. Check. The. Food." Edith says lowly, giving Haley a look. Haley groans and rolls her eyes.
"This is what I get for trying to be friendly" She mutters, walking away and into the kitchen. I smile and sit down on the couch, waiting for Steven to appear.
I hear laughter and voices coming closer. I don't know why it took them so long because this is a pretty small apartment. Not as small as mine though. Nothing's as small as mine.
"Sara, this is Steven" Edith introduces, gesturing between us. I look up and see a tall man, short brown hair, brown eyes, and a light beard. He's cute, I guess.
I smile and he smiles back.
"Nice to meet you" He says, shaking my hand.
"Nice to meet you too"
"HOW DO YOU TURN THE KNOBBY THING OFF" Haley yells from the kitchen.
"What knobby thing?!" I call back, noticing Edith give an apologetic look to Steven.
"THE KNOBBY THING ON THE THING"
"What thing?!"
"THE THING THAT HAS THE KNOBBY THING"
"Hold on I'm coming!" I yell, then look over to Edith and Steven. "Excuse me"
I walk in the kitchen and see Haley studying something.
"Let me see"
"Go ahead but I'm telling you, this is pretty advanced machinery" She states, crossing her arms. I walk closer to where she is and when I see what it is, I almost scream.
"HALEY IT'S A TOASTER"
