~Nova~I was happy for her. She has been engaged and I hope she lives a good life after that. On hearing this news, I couldn't control myself to tease the red out of her cheeks.
'I love you', she has told her fiance. God! That sounded so ' Not Ella '. But I am glad that she met the man of her dreams, which she used to think about since grade 9.
"I'll be wearing a silver lehenga for my wedding and you could decide your colours.", she would say, not to forget the grand bachelors party that she was about to throw and the big mansion that she was planning to book for her non existent wedding day, which has eventually become existent now.
We had planned every thing for her, be it her hairstyle on her wedding day or the first night that she would spend with her soon to be husband. We even decided the names of her kids and she had growled and said, "let me find a fucking man first."
We led a good laughter remembering all of the stupid stuff that we used to do at school.
Bunking the classes and going to the washroom side and the day, when she got caught for bunking the geography lesson, sitting down on th floor of the class and making her way out of the backdoor, when she saw the teacher entering the class, crawling on her knees not aware that another teacher was keeping an eye on her near the back door.
And the days when we would run early from school, just to see her crush and how much she had cried the day her crush finally passed out from school without a good farewell.
The times when we used to bunk our computer tution at my house and listen to her 'then favourite', south Indian music.
'Mandara Mandara', I still remember it's lyrics, unaware of it's meaning.
And then comes the great crush that she had on our lovely, 'Harry Styles', the crush was huge enough that we agreed to print a bed sheet with a picture of the 'naked Harry Styles', so that he could pleasure her at night.
Wow! We were disgusting.
I cannot even think of forgetting the day when we got our geography exam papers back, and she was sleeping on her desk. And my goofy self, came upto her, to enquire how badly she was failing in the subject. Shaking her back, to wake her up and, when she did so it was the deadliest disaster on earth.
The way she yelled at me for asking her marks when I already knew that she was failing.
To say the least, I was death scared and that's when I decided to never ever try to wake her up from sleep in my entire life.
We had been the best of friends and I wonder why we are meeting after such a long time.
"I had asked you for some coffee. Why are you not making it. I am already tired of cleaning your fucking house.", she commanded while I looked at my house with appreciation. I never know my house looks this good.
Anyways, "I told you that I don't have coffee and milk", I replied flatly, hoping her not to ask me, 'Why?'
"But why?", she asked me. Damn! Is she really this mean. She must have read my mind, what else could you expect off a world famous psychologist?
I heard a bang at the door and I could see Sophia running towards me, spreading both of her arms and visualising me as a ready bear ready to meet it's owner when she returns from school.
"I missed you mum", she whispered in my ears.
"I missed you too baby.", I said, giving a peck on her cheeks.
"Did you take your meds?", she asked me with puppy eyes.
Not to make her feel disappointed, I lied to her and held her in my arms.
"Yes baby. How could I forget? You reminded me before going to school.", I replied, while she cuddled herself in my lap.
She looked at Ella and asked with a big wide smile, happy to see me having a conversation with someone since two years of silence. "Who is she mum?"
"I am your Masi.", Ella replied instantly, giving her the cutest smile that she had.
"Masi? What's that?", Sophia asked me with puzzled expressions.
"That's a synonym of your mom. When you are angry with your mom then you could come up to me. Okay? I'll give you all the chocolates and ice creams that you want. ", Ella replied.
I was shocked to see her motherly self.
"Hurray!!I found a Masi.", she exclaimed and a smile broke off my dry lips.
I told her to change her uniform and she headed towards her room, leaning through the wooden railing.
"You've married? You have a child too?", asked Ella, stammering on 'child'.
I know I was too young to have a six year old baby in my lap who called me her 'mum', and loved me till infinity.
"You should rest for a while, I'll bring some milk from the general store. Till the time you could change into some comfortable clothes.", I said.
I wasn't sure enough that I will be able to answer her questions and therefore excused myself from the room.
Finally feeling the thin air of 'dramaticism'.
Wow! I am still the same.
