It's been hard to manage all this time alone. It isn't as harder for me as it is for Nova. I wish I could've been there with her this time, but I'll try to make it come soon.

She's been living with Sophia and, it's been two months that we've moved to Norway. It seems that my life is revolving just around the hospital in any way.

Life has always been hard on us, but I know that we can face it, I won't let her face it all alone.

I mean it. I can never let her battle alone with the demons of life.

I know she is as unhappy as I am. The grief of someone's dad lying in the stretcher all day would be enough to make their child's life miserable.

I rolled down the window of the car, my eyes gazed at the passing buildings as the Texas pass swiftly through them.

"I'll be coming back soon Nova", I whispered and my words were carried away by the soft flowing wind.

The Texas took it's pace away from the highway and I shook myself from the thoughts running in my mind.

Taking a few more turns to the right the driver stopped the car in front of the rented building, and I rushed out of the car, opening the next side of the door, where Nova's mother was sitting quietly.

"Mom. We've reached", I told her softly and she gave me her wrinkled hand, to support her for moving out of the car.

The driver spoke something in his language, but I wasn't able to decipher what it actually was, so I just nodded my head and passed on a fake smile, while mother told the driver something in their local language.

I don't know how my in laws managed to live their 18 years of life in this country, when it's been so hard for me since the past two months.

My clumsy self opened the door to my house, while Ryan came running at me, and hugged my torso.

I bend myself to my knees and hugged him back, taking out a sweet candy for him from my hand bag.

"I missed you dad. How is grandfather now?", he asked with his puppy eyes, eying his grandma from head to toe.

"Grandma is home, yay", he babbled with excitement, as tears fell down from mother's old eyes.

He loves them even if he hadn't ever seen them till now. Nova, often used to dictate some stories about her parent's success to Ryan during her bed time, and maybe that's what became his inspiration to do so well in academics.

He'll definitely make us proud someday.

"Your grandpa will be fine.", I passed on a soothing smile, unaware if this would be true.

Seeing his condition everyone would conclude that the couple is in it's death bed. Even Nova is aware about it, she would have been blessed if she could see him for the last time, but her health doesn't permit her so we are the ones looking after them even when Nova's condition could worsen anytime.

"Claire, I've brought your study material along. I hope that Ryan had behaved in a disciplined manner.", I looked towards her direction, caressing Ryan's brunette hair.
