Y/n's POV

I've tried to forget about what's inevitably going to happen after the battle is over. It breaks my heart to think about how soon I'll have to leave my friends behind. I need to go back to the order though, they raised me after all. Besides I was never supposed to even leave the castle. I can't help but think about the fact that if I had just stayed put, I wouldn't have anything to be sad about right now.

As I strike down soldier after soldier I can't seam to put my encounter with Skrael out of minds eye. I glance over to Jim who seams undeterred by recent events, I'm still getting used to his new troll appearance, he seams stronger then usual. I feel as though I'm distracted, as I look around me all I can see are my friends and those who have cared for me through my darkest times. It's a constant reminder I'm soon to abandon them and return to the Arcane Order.

As much as I wish to be here for them in what quite literally is to be out darkest hour, I can't stay here for long. I'm constantly being reminded of what's soon to happen. I decided in this state I'm just getting in their way, so I ran towards troll market to help Arrg and Merlin face of against The Pale Lady.

As I enter the ghostly halls of troll market, my heart frowns as I notice the crystal stair case is no longer burning bright with a luminescent glow. Multiple stalls are tipped over and singed, and the heart stone's beauty has faded. My gaze darts from one place to another, desperately trying to find Arrg and Merlin.

When I finally find them, I see they're battling in a cleared out latch of land where the remains of stalls lay like dead corpses. I see Arrg fleeing towards the Hero's Forge as Merlin floats mid air, restrained by glowing yellow chains.
"Morgana!" I spat under my breathe at the sight of her. I toss a multitude of thrown shaped icicles in her direction. She was to busy to notice they were assenting towards her, as a result she was catapulted into the ragged stone wall that Kay just beyond the fighting arena.

I do my best to help Merlin to his feet but Morgana emerges from the rubble that fell on her without a single dent on her armour. I froze in a fit of fear as I saw her float over to us.
"YOU INFERNAL RAT!" She scorned as she shot a bolt of raw golden magic towards me. Instinctively i leaped out of the way of it grazing my arm as I landed.

A shower of the same golden magic rained down towards me like a hurricane of magic. I held my hands in front of me making a shield of vines and plants to emerge in front of me. I did my best to keep the shield up in order to protect both me and Merlin, but it wasn't enough. Eventually the vines burnt away and I was hit head on with Morgana's magics.

The golden witch scoffed at my easy defeat and made her way towards the exit. With a gasp of breathe I sealed the exit with a wall of inches thick ice. The witch turned to face me, a face of rage plastered onto her.
"WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE ALREADY!?" She hissed, a yellow hue forming around her hands as she clenched her fists.
"Because" I wheezed "I don't have much time left here, so I may as well protect my friends to my dying breathe!"
