I pushed down my doubts and rapidly threw climbs of water at the floating witch, though all my efforts were in vain as she was only pushed back an inch at most.
"Your a petty challenge girl! I'll be glad to see you dead by the end of this!" She crowed, sending a golden shockwave in all directions.
I was pushed into the crumbled stone railings on the bridge, golden chairs holding me in place. I saw Morgana pull Jim, who was restrained by similar chains to mine, in front of her. I couldn't tell what she was saying, it was to muffled, but she seamed to be talking to someone. A figure approaching slowly in the upturned dust.
It wasn't until I saw the ram horns that I realised it was Angor Rott, blade in hand and a revengeful look on his stone face. Something was off. Usually he'd have the devilish grin of seeing his adversaries defeated, but he looked angry and ready to face someone who's just hurt him.
His gaze was locked on Morgana, his mistress, intently.
I saw Claire hood out her hand to summon her staff so she could jump in and protect Jim.
"Hood it Claire!" I called as she reluctantly stopped. I don't know what but something told me this wasn't going to go down like it looked. Angor then entered a high speed sprint his poisoned blade held firmly in his cold stone grip.
But when it came for his dagger to end Jim's rein as trollhunter, her swung his fist directly into Morgana's face, something I wish I could have done.
I felt my chains loosen as I slumped tiredly to the floor. I stumbled over to the battle where everyone else's chains were slowly materialising.
"I am no ones pawn!" Angor yelled with his gruff voice.
"What!" Morgana hollered in disbelief. "What did you tell him!" She turned to me as if I'd done something to cause the mess, and quite honestly I wish I was responsible for that golden crow getting nocked off her perch.
By the time Jim's chains broke he was to weak to even stand. Panting furiously for breathe, barely even able to hold himself up.
I don't know what it was that day, but at the same I knew exactly what I should have done. Gathering water in an orb I pressed it against Jim's injuries, and with a deep sigh they started glowing, a vibrant aqua colour like a lantern was inside it.
When I finally dropped the water droplets, although I was drained, Jim seamed to have a whole new energy in him, the gnashes on his side and arms were half healed and most of his scorch marks were gone as well.
But this time Angor was holding Morgana in place, but he was struggling and we could all tell it wouldn't last long. Jim took the opportunity, gripping his sword and lunging it through both Morgana and Angor.
Angor grunted and squinted his eyes for a moment. When they opened again they were filled with sadness, fear and Redemption, like he knew he was going to die, but was glad he made something good out of his life this time. I felt as though a sword of my own had impaled me the same way as watched an age old enemy crumble into dust with his final words.
"Goodbye, Trollhunter" and then the sound of crumbling rocks.
But Morgana was unfazed, she held her hands out pulling the sword from her torso with ease and hovering it in front of her. "Foolish child, daylight can't kill me. I can't be killed!" She bellowed before shattering the sword with a clench of her witch like fingers.
"Daylight" Jim reached out helplessly with a look of Horror in his face.
I held my hand over my mouth with shock, unable to say any words, partly from the exhaustion, and partly from the shock.
I was confused, feeling like the whole word was spinning around me I'd hardly noticed the others huddling in a group forming an urgent plan.
"Y/n!" Claire called, "My staff!"
i looked down at my feet where the purple, crooked staff kay dormant like a dead tree branch. I picked it up, a strange surge of dark energy flowing through me as my fingers skimmed its surface.
I chucked her the staff and watched as Claire opened up a shadow portal behind Morgana as if tearing open reality itself, Blinky through dwork stone at her, the explosions pushing her backwards towards the rift. I now saw their plan. They wanted to trap Morgana in the shadow realm for good.
I eventually joined in as we through whatever we could find at the sorceress pushing her further and further away until most of her body was engulfed in the black worm whole.
Then she took her final middle finger at death and shot a hot bolt of raw, golden magical energy straight in my direction.
I felt my eyes widen as I tried to move, but healing Jim had taken it all out of me.
I felt a hot blaze of pain as it gashed my skin, the sheer heat of it hotter than lava. I felt the cold concrete as my body hit the floor with a thud. I saw a green beam in the sky as the figure of a man hovered in the air at the centre of the eternal night. I saw everyone around me looked concerned in my direction, and a swirl of frost materialise into reality.
